We are back with our first Nielson Show of the week! Lots of laughs to start today's show as we dove into everyone's weekends. YTT gave us a quick update on tanning with his land lord Alex… We then dipped into Morning Announcements from 100.3 The Bear to recap everything that transpired over the weekend in the world of sport. After the first update we got right into Offseason, What Offseason to discuss what we think the Oilers will do come July 1st. To finish hour one, we gave our good, our bad and our ugly from the weekend presented by The Seven Eighty!
Darren Dreger got hour two started with his initial thoughts on this year's NHL draft and whether or not he thinks the league will go back to it's traditional ways. Dreger then gave his thoughts on John Gibson being traded to the Detroit Red Wings… What does this mean for the Oilers??? Dreger finished with his thoughts on Mitch Marner becoming a Vegas Golden Knight and will the Oilers be able to resign Corey Perry? It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day. In the middle of the second hour, it was time for MMMMMM That's Good presented by Italian Centre Shop. There was some Brock Boeser talk sprinkled in this segment… but the majority of this segment was spent on some CFL Fantasy discussion Dusty had with the new CFL commish.
We got the third hour started with Mr Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia. It was then time for Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda. Ryan Rishaug was the final guest on today's show. He gave his initial thoughts on the Kasperi Kapanen signing from this morning and touched on why the number makes sense. It looks like Noah Philp will get a good look in the lineup next season in which he had some thoughts on. Shaugger then touched on when a potential Arvidsson trade could happen. He finished with if there is any legitimacy to Boeser becoming an Oiler and what a possible Bouchard extension could look like. The boys finished off the show with The Wrap from William Huff!

They spoke to Greg Stock, the CEO of Thibodaux Regional Health System, and Bob Ibach from Nikco Sports. Legendary former Saints QB Archie Manning joined Sports Talk to discuss the growth of the Manning Passing Academy. Coach Don Rodrigue celebrated the surplus of elite coaches at the Louisiana Line Camp and Manning Passing Academy. Mike, Steve, and Charlie played their daily "Triple Option" segment. Mike and Steve interviewed Nicholls State President Dr. Jay Clune, Jonathan "JT" Terrell, the Athletic Director at Nicholls State, Crissy Froyd, a college football reporter for USA Today, longtime former Saints head athletic trainer Dean Kleinschmidt, and Nicholls State Head Football Coach Tommy Rybacki.
Nicholls State head football coach Tommy Rybacki joined Sports Talk. Coach Rybacki discussed his goal after taking over for former Colonel head coach Tim Rebowe. He previewed Nicholls' season-opening matchup against Incarnate Word on national television.
Longtime former Saints head athletic trainer Dean Kleinschmidt joined Sports Talk. Kleinschmidt discussed the development of the annual Manning Passing Academy. He celebrated the growth of sports medicine, questioned the increase in Achilles injuries, and remembered the legendary career of Rickey Jackson.

Chris Johnston was the first guest on today's show. Lots of rumblings around the NHL right now, it was good to hear get some clarity from CJ regarding all the speculation in Edmonton. He gave his thoughts on the future of Buffalo and also touched on the JJ Peterka trade. The NHL is doing things a little differently this year with the decentralized draft which CJ had some thoughts on. It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day. In the middle of the hour, our summer guest Marshall Ferguson joined the show. He informed us what he was riding today, which led to a good racing story. On the topic of racing, he shared his thoughts on what to expect from this week's Austrian Grand Prix. We then change gears to discuss some CFL. He then gave his thought's on last night's game and gave some love to the Elks developing QB, Tre Ford.
