Earning money off your blog seems like an impossible feat to many new bloggers. That is why this blog I will explain how you can start monetizing your blog so you can start earning from your blog today! Earning money from your blog is a great way to keep you motivated. In fact, most bloggers who don't earn anything off their blog quit in their first year of blogging. Many bloggers earn a pretty penny off their blog. In fact, Sharon Gourlay from Digital Nomad Wannabe did a survey where she asked bloggers how much they earned in the past month. 23% of bloggers earned between $1 and $200, 10% between $200 and $500, 9% between $500 and $1000 and 12.5% between $1000 and $2000. I am not going over all the brackets and percentages, but there are bloggers out there who consistently earn more than $5000 dollars with some even raking in over $20.000 a month. I will let that sink in for a second. Although bloggers that earn more through their blog than they ever did working a day job are not a fluke, you will have to build up your income and your blog. And the first step in building that income is by monetizing your blog. That is why in this blog post I will go over the best and most popular ways to monetize your blog so you can start earning off your blogging efforts as soon as… well.. Regular listeners already know I think it’s enormously beneficial to take your kids travelling from a young age, but in Episode 66 of The Thoughtful Travel Podcast I chat with three other mothers who agree with me. First up is family travel expert Sharon Gourlay of Where’s Sharon. With three kids aged between one and seven, and many, many trips with them under her belt, she’s well placed to talk about many of the reasons travelling with kids is so valuable. Brooke McAlary is my next guest and we share a very strong belief that kids learn so much from travelling, and that it shapes the way they’ll experience life. Finally, I talk with Penny Wincer, who speaks openly and beautifully about traveling with a child with special needs. Penny’s son has autism and this has changed the way she approaches travel, but it certainly hasn’t stopped her. Hearing about people’s first trips is fascinating and Episode 65 of The Thoughtful Travel Podcast is all about the first times some very experienced travellers ventured out of their comfort zones. First up, Alicia Nelson talks about the first trip she took without her family. A school trip to Washington DC turned out to be pretty life-changing. Sharon Gourlay of Where’s Sharon is one of the most well-travelled people I know, and yet when I spoke to her about her first trips abroad, she told me some very surprising stories! Finally, Carolyn Schonafinger joins The Thoughtful Travel Podcast for the first time and has some interesting tales to tell about her first trip abroad and also her first trip to her now beloved Europe.
