After countless mentions, Tybee Diskin is finally on the couch joining Jake this week talking about the genesis and ending of her podcast "InterroBang w/ Travis and Tybee" and the good it's done including the incredible "InterroPals" pen pal system she established that puts people in need in touch with others experiencing similar things, and how just being transparent in general helped HER discover information about ADHD/Autism she wouldn't know otherwise. The two talk about Tybee's jovial drunk behavior and how misguided positivity made her cry on her birthday, Jake's sober behavior, being close friends who don't see each other often and how they're both fans of communication. Tybee talks a little about the actors grind that she's left behind, working with Wayside Creations and working on fan films like Fallout Nuka Break as well as the children's book based on her Ninento DS playing giant grandmother that she has put her creative energy into recently. She talks a bit about her grandmother's personality, confidence, and also tells the story of how her grandparents met and it's super awesome. STAR TREK CONTINUES | PRODUCER | SCREENWRITER | ACTOR - What happens when you throw a rag-tag team of entertainment professionals, who also happen to be HUGE Star Trek fans, together? One of the most acclaimed fan-produced Star Trek (TOS) web series ever created entitled "Star Trek Continues" starring Vic Mignogna, Michele Specht and a whole cast of super talented actors and crew. This fan production is aimed at completing the final two years of the original 5-year mission. Vic plans to continue to raise the bar in the quality of the stories and overall production of this new fan-based series and it will feature some of the original actors on Star Trek as well as various celebrity guest stars. VIC MIGNOGNA - Vic has been in countless professional stage and film productions, but perhaps is best known as a prolific voice actor for over two hundred animated series and video games including: Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragonball Z, Pokemon and many more. As a young boy, Vic fell in love with Star Trek and is realizing his boyhood dream to play the role of Captain Kirk.. MICHELE SPECHT - In addition to her role as the Enterprise’s first ship’s counselor, Dr. Elise McKennah, Michele is known to Sci-Fi fans as bounty hunter Red in Fallout: Nuka Break, and as Betty the Manipulation Core in the Portal-based Aperture R&D. Although she started her career with classical training - earning degrees in both Theater and Classical Music - she began her Los Angeles career in sketch comedy. While currently making a living in TV and film appearances, voice acting, and commercials, she first spent 10 years creating and performing original characters, sketches, musicals, and short films all over LA and beyond - including the HBO Comedy Workspace and multiple comedy festivals. INTERVIEW QUESTIONS INCLUDE: I've heard that your sets are the most accurate of several replicas out there. How did you manage to recreate the sets with such precision? For an independent series production, you guys have a really short turnaround time from production to release -- how do you post produce your episodes so quickly? Where is STC filmed? Do you send out a casting notice for new characters? WEBSITES: StarTrekContinues.com | MicheleSpecht.com | VicsWorld.net
