The Amazing Psychology of Japanese Train Stations As mentioned in this episode, Nogizaka Station on the Chiyoda Subway Line uses an adapted version of the Noguzaka46 song "Kimi no Na wa Kibō" (English translation: Your Name is Hope). You can listen to the original version of "Kimi no Na wa Kibō" via the YouTube video below. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9E2OXutknVY[/embed] Another song mentioned in this episode is "Yappa Sukiyanen" by Yashiki Takajin. Following the death of Takajin in 2014, an adapted version of this song was used for a period of time as the departure melody of JR Osaka Station. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GrOq7VY7lM[/embed] The video below explores the question of whetherit is faster to stand or walk on an escalator. It finds that in theory about 80 people per minute can use an escalator when one side is reserved for walking. However, up to 112 people can use an escalator when people stand on both sides. Note: many articles written after the publication of this study cite a 2013 study. However, this appears to be the same study and it is dated as 2012. It is possible that this is a preliminary version. Does the installation of blue lights on train platforms prevent suicide? A before-and-after observational study from Japan (By Tetsuya Matsubayashi, Yasuyuki Sawada, Michiko Ueda) Numerous researchers have looked into the results of the 2012/2013 blue light study since it was originally plublished. In doing so, they have called into question its results. One such researcher is Masao Ichikawa of the University of Tsukuba. You can read his 2014 follow-up study via the link below. Reconsidering the effects of blue-light installation for prevention of railway suicides Here is the 2019 BBC article mentioned during this episode that helpsput into doubt the idea that blue lights prevent suicide. Japanese train companies appeared to have found that soothing blue lights could reduce the rate of suicides at station. But does the "nudge technique" really work? And if so, how?
Would you like to learn more about numerology? Lisa continues the conversation today with our guest world-renowned numerology expert Glynis McCants. She explains how in numerology, our year of 2025 breaks down to the World Number “9.” This is calculated by adding 2 + 0 + 2 + 5. According to Glynis McCants, this is the year of family. The cycle of “9” asks us to look at who we are and how we are being. Glynis teaches how the month and day you are born, added to the World Number “9,” determines your Personal Cycle. It's a time to go inner and work on yourself. Glynis goes through each number individually to determine your outlook for the rest of the year. She talks about Life Path Numbers and how to determine them. She explains how Numerology has many different layers. She also talks about her books, “Glynis Has Your Number,” and “Love By the Numbers.” Your name also has numbers, as well as your pets' names. Glynis explains how when you name an animal, you are giving that animal energy, and you want it to be compatible with your energy. They use as an example Lisa's cat who is named “Little Man.” Glynis talks about the energy of the name and what the numbers mean. In her book, “Glynis Has Your Number,” she has a chapter devoted to the numerology of names. It's complicated, but Glynis keeps it simple. Numerology is a language. She talks about vowels in your name and what they mean. 1, for example, is about Self and 9 is about Others and making a difference. Every letter has a number. This determines your Intensity Number, which is significant. Glynis also talks about her calendar and how she determines the best dates, as well as caution dates. It's discounted now, since it's July. This is all based on vibration. Glynis explains the importance of affirmations as well. She suggests affirmations such as “People are kind and good to me and it's all I ever attract.” This can be immensely helpful and can make you immediately feel better. She also has affirmations for grief, healing and health, prosperity, and more. She talks about her Lion's Gate Retreat at Omega Institute in NY in August. They will be covering 8/8, how the Full Moon influences your numbers, and what you can do to manifest. Glynis's unique method is based on the Pythagoras Number system, which is more than 2,500 years old. Info: NumbersLady.com

So much of our lives, nay, our heart-space, our mind-space, is about flying or falling, of binaries like coming ahead, being there first, being smarter than the other. We live and die in comparisons. And as always, when we wallow in shallow waters, we never ever get drenched fully. Without realising that this is the way of the world, that we can be the maximum of ourselves, but never more, and that comparisons are a zero sum game, anathema to coexistence. And actually, if we apply our mind enough, they are the interim stage to combine strengths, compensate weaknesses and come out sturdier, more resilient, a team. But much more than that, falling is merely the stage before getting up. And to realize that in life everything adds up. How that happens is a matter of staying the course, and later, much later, looking back and seeing how it all added up to get us where we did. The universe collects the debris of our heartbreaks, the whisper of our tears, the pollen dust of our regrets, and keeps them in a cachet of remembrance, pushing them back into our lives as accretions, as milestones, for us to know them as growth in time. In the immensity of our lives, we should fall gloriously, fail with panache, and never forget to be kind to others - and to ourselves. LESSON 184The Name Of God Is My Inheritance. You live by symbols. You have made up names for everything you see. Each one becomes a separate entity, identified by its own name. By this you carve it out of unity. By this you designate its special attributes, and set it off from other things by emphasizing space surrounding it. This space you lay between all things to which you give a different name; all happenings in terms of place and time; all bodies which are greeted by a name. This space you see as setting off all things from one another is the means by which the world's perception is achieved. You see something where nothing is, and see as well nothing where there is unity; a space between all things, between all things and you. Thus do you think that you have given life in separation. By this split you think you are established as a unity which functions with an independent will. What are these names by which the world becomes a series of discrete events, of things ununified, of bodies kept apart and holding bits of mind as separate awarenesses? You gave these names to them, establishing perception as you wished to have perception be. The nameless things were given names, and thus reality was given them as well. For what is named is given meaning and will then be seen as meaningful; a cause of true effect, with consequence inherent in itself. This is the way reality is made by partial vision, purposefully set against the given truth. Its enemy is wholeness. It conceives of little things and looks upon them. And a lack of space, a sense of unity or vision that sees differently, become the threats which it must overcome, conflict with and deny.Yet does this other vision still remain a natural direction for the mind to channel its perception. It is hard to teach the mind a thousand alien names, and thousands more. Yet you believe this is what learning means; its one essential goal by which communication is achieved, and concepts can be meaningfully shared. This is the sum of the inheritance the world bestows. And everyone who learns to think that it is so accepts the signs and symbols that assert the world is real. It is for this they stand. They leave no doubt that what is named is there. It can be seen, as is anticipated. What denies that it is true is but illusion, for it is the ultimate reality. To question it is madness; to accept its presence is the proof of sanity.Such is the teaching of the world. It is a phase of learning everyone who comes must go through. But the sooner he perceives on what it rests, how questionable are its premises, how doubtful its results, the sooner does he question its effects. Learning that stops with what the world would teach stops short of meaning. In its proper place, it serves but as a starting point from which another kind of learning can begin, a new perception can be gained, and all the arbitrary names the world bestows can be withdrawn as they are raised to doubt.Think not you made the world. Illusions, yes! But what is true in earth and Heaven is beyond your naming. When you call upon a brother, it is to his body that you make appeal. His true Identity is hidden from you by what you believe he really is. His body makes response to what you call him, for his mind consents to take the name you give him as his own. And thus his unity is twice denied, for you perceive him separate from you, and he accepts this separate name as his.It would indeed be strange if you were asked to go beyond all symbols of the world, forgetting them forever; yet were asked to take a teaching function. You have need to use the symbols of the world a while. But be you not deceived by them as well. They do not stand for anything at all, and in your practicing it is this thought that will release you from them. They become but means by which you can communicate in ways the world can understand, but which you recognize is not the unity where true communication can be found. Thus what you need are intervals each day in which the learning of the world becomes a transitory phase; a prison house from which you go into the sunlight and forget the darkness. Here you understand the Word, the Name Which God has given you; the one Identity Which all things share; the one acknowledgment of what is true. And then step back to darkness, not because you think it real, but only to proclaim its unreality in terms which still have meaning in the world that darkness rules.Use all the little names and symbols which delineate the world of darkness. Yet accept them not as your reality. The Holy Spirit uses all of them, but He does not forget creation has one Name, one Meaning, and a single Source Which unifies all things within Itself. Use all the names the world bestows on them but for convenience, yet do not forget they share the Name of God along with you.God has no name. And yet His Name becomes the final lesson that all things are one, and at this lesson does all learning end. All names are unified; all space is filled with truth's reflection. Every gap is closed, and separation healed. The Name of God is the inheritance He gave to those who chose the teaching of the world to take the place of Heaven. In our practicing, our purpose is to let our minds accept what God has given as the answer to the pitiful inheritance you made as fitting tribute to the Son He loves. No one can fail who seeks the meaning of the Name of God. Experience must come to supplement the Word. But first you must accept the Name for all reality, and realize the many names you gave its aspects have distorted what you see, but have not interfered with truth at all. One Name we bring into our practicing. One Name we use to unify our sight. And though we use a different name for each awareness of an aspect of God's Son, we understand that they have but one Name, Which He has given them. It is this Name we use in practicing. And through Its use, all foolish separations disappear which kept us blind. And we are given strength to see beyond them. Now our sight is blessed with blessings we can give as we receive.Father, our Name is Yours. In It we are united with all living things, and You Who are their one Creator. What we made and call by many different names is but a shadow we have tried to cast across Your Own Reality. And we are glad and thankful we were wrong. All our mistakes we give to You, that we may be absolved from all effects our errors seemed to have. And we accept the truth You give, in place of every one of them. Your Name is our salvation and escape from what we made. Your Name unites us in the oneness which is our inheritance and peace. Amen.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Matthew 7:21-29 - Jesus said to His disciples: "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your Name? Did we not drive out demons in Your Name? Did we not do mighty deeds in Your Name?' Then I will declare to them solemnly, 'I never knew you. Depart from Me, you evildoers.' "Everyone who listens to these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock. And everyone who listens to these words of Mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined." When Jesus finished these words, the crowds were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes. Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2) Neocons are rooting for war with Iran not just because of politics, but because of "bad theology" https://humanevents.com/2025/06/23/jack-posobiec-and-joshua-lisec-neocons-are-rooting-for-war-with-iran-not-just-because-of-politics-but-because-of-bad-theology 4) Jesse answers questions on Judaism

1. You Are More Than What Afflicts YouJust like the man who said “I am Legion,” we often define ourselves by our struggles. But Jesus doesn't see us as problems to fix—He sees us as people to restore.2. We Are Spiritual Beings Having a Human ExperienceIn a world that often ignores the spiritual realm, Luke's Gospel reminds us that forces—good and bad—are real. What you allow to “possess” you shapes who you become.3. Possession by the Wrong Things is Loud, Lonely, and a Dead EndLike the man in the tombs, when we're controlled by pride, shame, addiction, or fear, we isolate ourselves and lose our true identity.4. Healing Begins When Jesus Asks, “What's Your Name?”Naming your pain and standing in the presence of Christ is where healing starts. It's how God begins restoring you to yourself.5. Church is Where We Come Up for AirLike whales needing breath, we need sacred moments to remember who we are and whose we are. Worship is our place to breathe deeply and reconnect with the Spirit.6. Grace Isn't Complete Until It Flows Through YouJesus sends the healed man back home, not to retreat, but to witness. Our healing and restoration are not the end—they are the beginning of a life lived for others.7. God Won't Let GoLike Disney's rule for character hugs, God never lets go first. When we run to God, we're held in a love that never leaves—even when we're sent back into the world.

Episode 186: Depeche Mode – Speak & Spell (1981) Part 3 In this episode, Brian and Sarah resume their look back at Depeche Mode's debut album. As a reminder, they're using the US track listing as they talk about the album, but for the songs contained in this episode, the track listing is the same on both sides of the pond. The next songs up for discussion aren't singles, but that doesn't stop our hosts from finding plenty of things to talk about. Here are just a few examples: • Sarah's phrase ‘Erasure gallop' is changed to ‘Vince Clarke gallop' due to one of these songs • Brian's favorite ‘one-two punches' of Depeche Mode album tracks—one of which is found on this album • The probable origins of the song “What's Your Name?” and whether or not it's actually a bad song. • DJ Stevo competing with Daniel Miller to work with Depeche Mode, and the compromise that was reached • The last live performance of “Photographic” and who was there for it Additionally, our hosts are thrilled to share recordings from two listeners who provided Speak & Spell memories, and there are three reviews to read as well. And here's a friendly reminder that you too, can use the phone number or link below to record your own memories for use in a future episode! Songs discussed in this episode: Nodisco What's Your Name? Jesus Followers Seek First God's Will, and then They “Die” to their Self-Ambitions and Self-Appetites and Take Up Their Cross MESSAGE SUMMARY: In a time in which we hear so much about self-help, self-image, and self-actualization, Jesus is saying self-denial is the way to life for Jesus Followers. Jesus tells us, in Matthew 16:24, that self-denial is a key element in following Him: “Then Jesus told his disciples, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.'". “Taking up one's cross” means to die to self-ambitions and self-appetites. When we die to our self-ambitious and self-appetites, we put them on the cross; and Jesus' life moves through us: “Not my will but Thy will.”. By denying self, we become alive in Jesus; and His Spirit flows through us – we experience eternal life and abundant life. TODAY'S PRAYER: Most merciful God I confess that I have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone. I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I am truly sorry and I humbly repent. For the sake of your son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me; that I might delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of Your Name. Amen. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Lust. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Perfect Provision. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). At Times, Are You Unrepentant in Your Spiritual Life and, Therefore, “storing up wrath for yourself on the {Judgement} day of wrath”? MESSAGE SUMMARY: Penitence is not a once in a lifetime occurrence. Penitence is a daily and moment by moment occurrence. None of us is perfect, and not one of us always does the will of God. Paul, in Romans 2:4-5, is unequivocal in establishing the need for your continuing penitence and the consequences of your not repenting of your sins on a real-time basis: “Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.". Therefore, we all need to repent and return to the Lord. You can become cocky and arrogant in your spiritual life – “I am a Christian; God has done this for me.”. As the Psalmist tells us in Psalms 32:5 of his confession and his penitence: “I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,' and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.". You can rest on our perceived laurels; but these perceptions, of personal goodness and righteousness, can lead you quickly to a need for your penitence. Amen. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I will rejoice in Him (Philippians 4:4). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14). SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Mathew 3:8-11; Romans 2:4-5; 2 Corinthians 7:10; Psalms 140:1-13. A WORD FROM THE LORD WEBSITE: www.AWFTL.org. Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 17:20-26 - Lifting up His Eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed saying: "I pray not only for these, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, so that they may all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one, as We are One, I in them and You in Me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that You sent Me, and that You loved them even as You loved Me. Father, they are Your gift to Me. I wish that where I am they also may be with Me, that they may see my glory that You gave Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world. Righteous Father, the world also does not know You, but I know You, and they know that You sent Me. I made known to them Your Name and I will make it known, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them and I in them." Client Reviews… ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jenny's teachings have produced results reconnecting me with my estranged daughter I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support and guidance received in the most tragic time of my life from coach Jenny Good. Her faith, compassion, understanding, dedication and display of radical love has truly been life-changing for me. I was so overwhelmed with feelings of confusion, guilt, and sadness. I felt lost and didn't know how to navigate through the emotional turmoil I was experiencing. However, from the very first call, Jenny created a safe and non-judgmental space for me to share my details. Her ability to listen attentively and empathize while helping me understand a different way of thinking is truly remarkable. She understood my feelings and offered tools each session in ways I have not experienced even from therapy. I am forever thankful for the medicine she has poured into me to be the very best version of myself! This has rippled into all areas of life for me. Jenny's teachings have produced results reconnecting me with my estranged daughter! Thank you for being the vessel of unwavering faith & love that so many of us could benefit from, estranged or not. A true Godsend. - Melinda Wyman . ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I am living a truly happy life, and I reconciled with my son Having a coach and mentor who is rooted in Christ is very important. I've experienced so much inner healing with Jenny as my Coach. I am living a truly happy life, and I reconciled with my son! I feel empowered to continue stepping into my full power as a mother and to live a life where my children matter, but they don't determine my worth. I am me again. - Carol Adams . **Prayer from this episode** Jesus, I enter your gates with thanksgiving. Today I am thankful for _______. I am hungry for your total peace and I want to release anger and not allow it to be rooted within me. I know that if I am walking in Your will, and I pray according to Your will, You hear me and grant my request. I ask, in Your Name, that You remove all anger from me and replace it with empathy, forgiveness, peace and radical love. I thank You for my anticipated transformation. Amen.
Today's Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Father Charles Murr joins Terry and Jesse from Spain Gospel - John 17:11b-19 - Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed, saying: “Holy Father, keep them in Your Name that You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are One. When I was with them I protected them in Your Name that You gave Me, and I guarded them, and none of them was lost except the son of destruction, in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to You. I speak this in the world so that they may share My joy completely. I gave them Your word, and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. I do not ask that You take them out of the world but that You keep them from the Evil One. They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, so I sent them into the world. And I consecrate Myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day Pope Leo XIV begins the month of the Sacred Heart by praising marriage and family https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/pope-leo-xiv-begins-the-month-of-the-sacred-heart-by-praising-marriage-and-family/

Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 17:1-11a - Jesus raised His Eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Give glory to Your Son, so that Your Son may glorify You, just as You gave Him authority over all people, so that Your Son may give eternal life to all You gave Him. Now this is eternal life, that they should know You, the only true God, and the One Whom You sent, Jesus Christ. I glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work that You gave Me to do. Now glorify Me, Father, with You, with the glory that I had with You before the world began. “I revealed Your Name to those whom You gave Me out of the world. They belonged to You, and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. Now they know that everything You gave Me is from You, because the words you gave to Me I have given to them, and they accepted them and truly understood that I came from You, and they have believed that You sent Me. I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for the ones You have given Me, because they are Yours, and everything of Mine is Yours and everything of Yours is Mine, and I have been glorified in them. And now I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, while I am coming to You.” Memorial of Saint Charles Lwanga, and Companions, Martyrs Saint Charles Lwanga, and Companions, pray for us! If I were to forget You, for a moment, even for an instant, O Lord Master, it would be like fifty years for me. I was always such a fool and an idiot, O Siblings of Destiny, but now, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, my mind is enlightened. || 1 || Dear Lord, You Yourself bestow understanding. Dear Lord, I am forever a sacrifice to You; I am dedicated and devoted to Your Name. || Pause || I have died in the Word of the Shabad, and through the Shabad, I am dead while yet alive, O Siblings of Destiny; through the Shabad, I have been liberated. Through the Shabad, my mind and body have been purified, and the Lord has come to dwell within my mind. The Guru is the Giver of the Shabad; my mind is imbued with it, and I remain absorbed in the Lord. || 2 || Those who do not know the Shabad are blind and deaf; why did they even bother to come into the world? They do not obtain the subtle essence of the Lord's elixir; they waste away their lives, and are reincarnated over and over again. The blind, idiotic, self-willed manmukhs are like maggots in manure, and in manure they rot away. || 3 || The Lord Himself creates us, watches over us, and places us on the Path, O Siblings of Destiny; there is no one other than Him. No one can erase that which is pre-ordained, O Siblings of Destiny; whatever the Creator wills, comes to pass. O Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides deep within the mind; O Siblings of Destiny, there is no other at all. || 4 || 4 ||

Walk with God | May 21, 2025 Season 19: The Power of Prayer SCRIPTURE: Daniel 9:1-19 SHOW NOTES: For encouragement on your spiritual journey, we invite you to visit our ministry website, Discover God's Truth, where you can access additional resources to enrich your Walk with God. Daniel was a man dedicated to prayer. In previous lessons, we have examined two other instances when Daniel turned to the Lord and sought His wisdom and counsel. He was not afraid of the king; rather, he chose to continue his regular daily practice: “I will pray to the Lord three times each day.”"I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the Lord given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. So, I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes." Daniel 9:2-3In the following sixteen verses, Daniel associates himself with the people of Israel and confesses their sin and disobedience. He acknowledges the greatness, lovingkindness, and mercy of the Lord. "Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of Your servant. For Your sake, Lord, look with favor on Your desolate sanctuary. Give ear, our God, and hear; open Your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears Your Name. We do not make requests of You because we are righteous, but because of Your great mercy. Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, hear and act!" Daniel 9:17-19Daniel cried out with fervent prayer to the Lord on behalf of his people. He has provided a powerful example of prayer for each of us. He emphasizes God's promise of land to Abraham. He then discusses the jealousy of Joseph's brothers, highlighting how God protected him and led the Jews to Egypt. Stephen then recounts the story of Moses and explains how he saved the people despite their repeated obstinance. God was present and active all throughout Israel's history. Stephen notes that God is still working through the Holy Spirit, yet the Jews remain rebellious, even murdering “the Righteous One.” This infuriates the crowd, leading them to stone Stephen to death. In his final moments, Stephen sees Jesus in heaven standing next to the Father and pleads that the people's sins not be held against them. Stephen's defense provides several meaningful application points. First, he was wise and courageous in his willingness to share the truth about God with a dangerous crowd. Confessing Jesus requires standing firm in the face of eminent danger. Second, the lengthy message recounts key figures in Israel's history. More importantly, it illustrates that God was always present with them, never limited by location or hindered by anyone. This is the God we serve, who remains active and unstoppable today. Finally, the glory of Jesus resonates through Stephen's words and character. Like Stephen, we should know God's story and emulate Jesus as we share it. He honors Christ by reciting Jesus' words on the cross, even unto his dying breath. Great Father, Your involvement with Your people has sustained them for generations. Men and women of faith stood firm for You, even when Your own people opposed them. Help us recognize that You are with us. Open our hearts to the presence and work of the Holy Spirit. Many resist Him, some even in a misguided attempt at faith. Please guide us by Your Spirit to know and teach the truth. If defending Your Name costs our lives, grant us the courage of Stephen to emulate Jesus and die with unwavering faith, heavenly hope, and love, even for our enemies. Thought Questions: - God supported the faithful, especially as others opposed them. Do you believe God is with you? And how is He helping you today? - The Jews were “resisting the Holy Spirit,” though they thought they were righteous. How do you avoid falling into such a misguided religion? - Jesus and Stephen asked God to forgive those who murdered them. How do you demonstrate that heart of mercy to others?

Send us a textGood morning! Thank you for taking a few minutes to listen. If you are interested in the Daily Bible Devotional, you can find it at the links below:Amazon - (paperback, hardcover, and Kindle)Spiritbuilding.com - (premium quality paperback)Youtube Video Introducing the ContentFeel free to reach out with any questions: emersonk78@me.comJohn 1 John's gospel starts “in the beginning.” Jesus was the Word in heaven who made all things. After creation, He becomes the Light from heaven to illuminate our hearts. Jesus is the grace of God revealed to bring the Father's favor. He is the Lamb of God who would die to “take away the sins of the world.” He is the Christ prophesied in the Old Testament. Jesus Christ is the greatest gift man has ever been given. John the Baptist proclaims Jesus as the Son of God, saying he has seen the Spirit fall on Him and that Jesus will be the One who baptizes others in the Holy Spirit. Jesus then begins his public ministry by calling into service four men from Galilee: Peter, Andrew, Philip, and Nathanael. Most scholars contend that John's Letter is the last inspired gospel. He brings a different perspective and unique details to Christ's ministry. The central point of his letter is belief. We must believe Jesus is the Creator. We must embrace Him as God's Light and grace, and as the sacrificial Lamb sent to save us from our sins. The evidence from John the Baptist, the Old Testament prophets, and the Holy Spirit falling on Him testify to Christ's identity. We must see Him as Nathanael did: with amazement and humility. Starting with simple trusting faith, Jesus takes Nathanael on an incredible journey and shows him many wonderful things. He will do likewise in our lives if we choose to follow Him. Glorious Father, we praise Your Name for Your beautiful grace. Thank You for taking all the blessings You seek to give us and placing them in Your Son. If we will pursue Him, loving and obeying Him, we will be forgiven and saved forever. Great God, we ask you to take us on a journey like the four men who followed Jesus. Overwhelm us with Christ's glory. Then take us places we have never been, show us things we cannot imagine, and use us in ways we never thought possible. Lord, we believe. Show us how to follow Jesus. Thought Questions: - Is Jesus your Creator? Is He God's greatest gift to bring grace and hope into your life? Why are those questions important? - John the Baptist was a great prophet, but he always redirected glory to Jesus. How do you direct all glory to Christ? - If Jesus showed up today and said, “Follow Me”, would you go? How is He already calling you to do that in your life?
