    Wes and Charlie have been playing more Death Stranding and League of Legends.  They are also anxious to get into the recent Sea of Thieves: a Pirate's Life update.  Last week Scarlet Nexus, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, Mario Golf: Super Rush, and Lego Buider's Journey, all hit the streets.  Sims 4 has an exciting music festival in the works,  Halo series showrunner is leaving after season 1, and the special refund policy Microsoft established for Cyberpunk 2077 ends 6 July.  Valheim has a VR mod and Team Fortress 2 had its highest player count ever, following the release of a new anti-bot update.  AMD launched FSR last week and it doesn't seem too bad.  Now if it just rolls out to more titles soon , it could be good news for both Nvidia and AMD non RTX GPU owners.  It's been a pleasure making these podcasts and over the last year and we really appreciate all of our listeners.  Thank you and we hope you have a great week!

    This week Wes and Charlie talk about Death Stranding Civilization VI multiplayer, Phantasy Star Online 2, and Dead by Daylight/Resident Evil DLC.  They also wrap up their biggest takeaways from the 2021 E3 event.  Biomutant received a patch increasing the level cap from 50 to 100, Cyberpunk 2077 hits the Playstation Store on 21 June, and the Windows 11 reveal event is scheduled for 24 June.  The first set of DDR5 memory goes on sale next month, and for the first time in close to a year, GPU prices are starting to decrease.  As always, thank you for listening and have a great week!

    This week Wes and Charlie talk some more Forza Horizon 4, League of Legends, and Company of Heroes 2.  Stonefly, Operation: Tango, Astalon: Tears of Earth, Watch Dogs Legion: Legion of the Dead, and No Man's Sky Prisms update all came out this week.  Nvidia's latest driver supports DLSS for Red Dead Redemption 2 and a few other titles.  The Crowfall MMO is planned for release in July.  Riot Games has also announced Valorant for mobile platforms.  New laptops with both AMD GPUs and CPUs are hitting the streets and they look pretty good.  This will be the last month for our podcast as Charlie gets set to head off to college.  As always, thanks for listening and have a great week!

    This week Wes and Charlie talk Monster Hunter World: Iceborn, Resident Evil Village, Wreckfest, Forza Horizon 4, and Little Nightmares.  Wes has determined his wireless headset and TKL keyboard battery life spans well beyond a month between charges.  Charlie picked up a PS5 controller for the PC and got a new Asus Zephyrus G15 laptop for college.  The Steam Open Worlds sale is underway and you can pick up Little Nightmares for free and keep it forever.  Total War: Three Kingdoms was review bombed, and Microsoft Flight Simulator received an update that cuts the download size in half.  Epic Unreal Engine 5 hit early access, Horizon Forbidden West looked good during the Playstation State of Play event, and unfortunately, Blizzcon 2021 has been cancelled.  Virtual COMPUTEX begins today and runs through June.  As always, we hope you have a safe and fun week and thank you for listening.

    This week Wes shares how he finished Dying Light and has begun to dive a bit deeper into Forza Horizon 4 once again.  Charlie completed Monster Hunter World, and is going for his 2nd run at Hardcore Resident Evil Village.  Wes and Charlie also completed It Takes 2 and they share some thoughts about their experience.  Read Dead Redemption 2 now has a mod available that allows you to play in VR; visit Luke Ross's Patreon page for more on that.  Rust Console Edition, Knockout City, Just Die Already, Saints Row the Third: Remastered and Rocket League F1 DLC all released last week.  Overwatch 2 appears to be heading towards 5v5 with 1 tank only.  Metro Exodus is the first PC game to fully support PS5 controllers, and 2020 was the best year ever for Dungeons and Dragons.  June looks like it's going to have some great gaming release news and Nvidia DLSS now officially supports VR.  Nvidia also appears to be releasing Low Hash Rate cards in May and possibly the 3080 Ti and 3070 Ti cards in June.  As always, thanks for listening!

    This week Wes and Charlie have been playing more Monster Hunter World and Dying Light.  Subnautica: Below Zero and Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC Wrath of the Druids have been released.  MSI warns folks of some Afterburner related malware, EA's Play event is scheduled for 22 July, and the Australia ban on Disco Elysium was reversed.  A Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker release date was announced along with a new job/class, itch.io creator day gives 100% of the proceeds to the developers, and a new Ghostrunner sequel was announced.  Unfortunately, there are still no GPUs available but CPUs can be purchased.  As always, thank you for listening.

    This week Wes and Charlie talk a bit more It Takes 2, Dying Light, Tetris Effect, Fall Guys, and Forza Horizon 4.  Charlie is super amped for Resident Evil Village and has been getting ready for the release this week by playing Resident Evil 7 again, along with all the DLC.  Returnal, Pokemon Snap, and Total War Rome remastered all released last week.  Big Steam sale on games made in Japan right now, along with Titanfall 2 being free over the weekend.  Microsoft is reducing its share of the sales from 30% to 12%.  Hunt Showdown now has an option to play others at your your same skillset only.  EVGA is offering a new Elite Membership which gives members 24 hrs to purchase new items, before being offered to the general public.  Finally, big changes on the crypto mining front are coming; there could be some relief on the GPU demand, but an increased demand on SSD/HDD's may be coming as well.  As always, thanks for listening.

    This week Wes and Charlie talk more It Takes 2, Resident Evil 3 Remake, Dying Light, and Racing Games.  There are some deep discounts during the Steam CAPCOM sale thie weekend, so don't miss out!  Bioshock 4 appears may be an open world game, by the looks of the hiring announcements.  Amazon's Lord of the Rings MMO was cancelled unfortunately, but we're rooting for New World to be a success.  Two big showcases occurred during the week: 1) Nintendo's Indie World and, 2) the Resident Evil Village showcase; both were very exciting.  Oculus Quest 2 had some awesome news with organic wireless and 120Hz refresh rate capabilities coming soon.  If you weren't aware, the PS5 is the best selling gaming console of all time, for the first 5 months following release.  As always, thanks so much for listening and have a great week.

    Wes and Charlie talk more Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Mario Galaxy, Devil May Cry 3, Risk of Rain 2 and Dota 2.  It Takes Two, Monster Hunter Rise, Crash Bandicoot 4 were the big releases last week, all to pretty good reviews.  The ID@Xbox Showcase was a surprise hit with many new and exciting titles coming soon and a lot of them will be day one releases on Game Pass!  Mortal Online 2 held a server stress test this weekend and is interesting but needs a fair amount of polish.  Biomutant is in pre-order and Dota 2 has a new tutorial along with a Netflix series you may want to check out.   Gamestop is adding PC components and peripherals to their offerings and the latest rumor on the Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti looks like a mid-May release date.  As always, thanks for listening!

    First Valheim Tournament Held, 60 EA Play Games Added to Xbox Gamepass, and Square Enix Presents!

    This week Wes wrapped up the Bioshock trilogy and dabbled with Bridge Constructor Portal, Halo: the Masterchief Collection, and Grounded.  Charlie completed the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy and all Bowser's Fury accomplishments, and has been playing some Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and Street Fighter V.  Wes got a new G915 TKL and Charlie picked up the Mayflash F500 V2 Arcade Stick and they're both getting up to speed on them.  Several new releases came out this week to include more Outer Worlds DLC, Mundaun, Kaze and the Wild Masks, and the Tomb Raider Definitive Survivor Trilogy.  The first ever Valheim tournament was held recently and it was a blast to watch.  You may want to check out Mortal Online 2 if you're looking for a new hardcore medieval MMO.  60 EA games came to Xbox Gamepass and Watch Dogs: Legion finally got online CO-OP.  The Square Enix Presents event was a lot of fun, with news about the next Life is Strange, Balan Wonderworld, Forspoken and more.  As always, thank you for listening!

Wes subscribed to Game Pass for PC and, so far, is thrilled with the selection of games and value. Crash Bandicoot 4 hit the PS5 and Switch, and Monster Truck Championship hit Xbox Series X. The Metro series games are deeply discounted this weekend so pick those up now if you've been holding off. Dying Light 2 developers have an announcement to make on 17 March. Representatives from Bethesda and Microsoft Xbox met for a round table discussion last week right around the same time 13 major Bethesda hits came to Game Pass. Loop Hero came out last week and at an 84 on Metacrtic, you may want to check it out. GamesRadar+ will be streaming the Future Games Show on 25 March. Watchdog Legion Multiplayer was put on hold indefinitely and Valheim surpasses 5 million sold. AMD announces their 3000 CPUs will be able to take advantage of Smart Access Memory; you'll need a 500 series motherboard and a 6000 series graphics card to get the performance boost.     This week Wes and Charlie talk more about Bioshock 2 Remastered, Rage 2, Valheim, Mario 3D World and Teamfight Tactics. Wes moved to the wireless Sennheiser GSP 370 for his gaming headset and he likes it. Bravely Default 2, Breathedge, and Curse of the Dead Gods all released last week. Valheim bosses were made harder and there are new first person mods out. Hunt: Showdown custom ammo is on the test server and Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.2 is delayed until the 2nd half of March. Anthem development is officially cancelled and the retail chain Fry's is shutting down all remaining stores. E3 2021 Live is cancelled again this year. RTX 3060 cards were released; unfortunately you can't get your hands on any, and if you can, you're most likely going to pay way too much. The good news is AMD will announce more 6000 series cards on 3 March, so keep an eye out.

    This week Wes and Charlie talk more Bioshock 2 remastered, Valheim, No Man's Sky, and Super Mario 3D World. Persona 5 Strikers came out recently so check it out if the Persona series is your jam. Valheim may have set records with 3 million copies sold in its first 3 weeks. Charlie has been playing it a lot and is a big fan. The Dead by Daylight remastered effort is nearly halfway complete, No Man's Sky gets pets, and Metro Exodus is getting an enhanced edition which means better Ray Tracing and DLSS 2.0 for the PC. Blizzcon 2021 had some exciting announcements with Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV, and Nintendo Direct covered Splatoon 3, a Zelda remastered edition, and Mario Golf.     CD Projekt RED Gets Hacked, Unreal Engine Metahuman Creator, and Nvidia Outperforms AMD In New 3DMark Test!

    This week Wes and Charlie talk more Bioshock 2 Remastered, Minecraft RTX, Devil May Cry 3, Crash Bandicoot 2 Remastered, Cyberhook, and Valheim. Forza Horizon 4 is coming to Steam on 9 March and it would surprise us if there wasn't a new influx of players as a result. Little Nightmares 2 and Super Mario World 3D + Bowser's Fury were recently released to critical acclaim. CD Projekt RED was hacked, but chose not to give and inch to cyber criminals. We're super excited about the potential in Unreal Engine 5 combined with the new Metahuman creator engine. If you haven't seen those new capability demos, google them today. More games can be expected to implement DLSS 2.0 soon, so keep an eye open for your favorites. The Steam Lunar sale is on, but ends tomorrow. The RTX 3060 releases on 25 February and we're hopeful the resizable Bar functionality for Nvidia cards follows shortly thereafter. As always, thanks for listening!

    Valheim Makes Steam Top 10, Nvidia RTX Cards Support Resizable BAR Soon, Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Expansion!

    This week Wes and Charlie talk more Bioshock Remastered, Devil May Cry 3, and Minecraft RTX. Wes spent a little more time overclocking his 5800X but, optimized defaults with XMP enabled, yielded the highest Timespy scores by a significant margin. A surprise Viking crafting survival game called Valheim released last week and immediately became a top 10 Steam hit. Also released: Werewolf the Apocalypse Earthblood, NUTS, and Nioh 2 Complete Edition. Nvidia's attempt at resizable BAR performance enhancements should hit the street later in February with the RTX 3060. Final Fantasy XIV's next big patch should wrap up the initial story line and open up a new one with the Endwalker expansion. AMD intends to release addtional reference cards to include RX 6800 XT's and rumor has it, RX 6700 XT cards should hit the streets soon as well.     Sea of Thieves Seasons, Still No PC Hardware, Biomutant Release Date!

    This week Wes and Charlie talk about completing Crash Bandicoot 1 Remastered and Outer Worlds. They also discuss Devil May Cry 3 and Civilization 6. Some of the new releases touched on include: Robin Hood Builders of Sherwood, Olija, Gods Will Fall, Cyber Shadow, and The Medium. Did you know Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator is free on Steam until 1 February and the Epic Games Store gave away ~$750M free games in 2020? Sea of Thieves Seasons is on the streets now, so if you haven't played in a while you may want to check it out. IOI confirms future DLC for Hitman 3 and Animal Crossing has a new Festivale event. The bad news is, not only are GPUs still ridiculously hard to find, but some 3rd party manufacturers are raising prices because they are taking losses at the MSRP.     This week Wes and Charlie talk more Outer Worlds, Wreckfest, Risk of Rain 2, Crash Bandicoot Remaster, Sea of Thieves, and Hunt Showdown. Cyberpunk 2077 received it's first full patch and Hitman 3 was released to rave reviews. Dead By Daylight is working on a colorblind mode, Xbox raised the pricing on it's Live Gold offering, then returned the price to previous levels in response to the outcry. Resident Evil Village showcased and it looks like Rockstar may have some new traffic AI coded into GTA 6; fingers crossed.     Cyberpunk 2077 Roadmap Released, LucasFilm Games Announced, and CES 2021 Highlights!

    This week Wes and Charlie talk about completing Cyberpunk 2077 as well as CDProjektRed's apology and roadmap released earlier in the week. Wes also started Outer Worlds and Charlie finally made it past the janky part in Max Payne. Their systems are up and running perfectly and they added the specs of their third system on the website to provide a clearer picture of the cascade of components from system to system over the years. Hogwart's Legacy was delayed until 2022, Super Mario 3D World plus Browser's Fury is coming to Switch, and you may have trouble transferring status from Hitman 1 or 2, to Hitman 3 on the Epic Store. CES 2021 was a bit fragmented this year, but the RTX 3000 series laptops look promising, the RTX 3060 was announced, and the RTX 3080 ti was postponed indefinitely. As always, thanks for listening!

    More 2020 Game Awards, Winter Steam Sale Underway, and the KFConsole Announced!

    This week Wes and Charlie talk more Cyberpunk 2077. Charlie finished the main story line and Wes is still savoring the game, with a goal to finish this week. The final pieces of Wes' new system have been ordered and the 2020 upgrades should come to an end this week. While you can vote for your favorite games via Steam, Gameranx and Digital Foundry both announced their picks for 2020. Even in light of all the Cyberpunk 2077 controvery, it game out near the top on both lists. Night in the Woods is currently available free on the Epic Store and we have a family member that finished it a month ago or so and really enjoyed it. PC Gamer Hardware candidates have been announced as well. Believe it or not, Kentucky Fried Chicken has announced it's introduction into the console world with plans to include a chicken warmer with each unit. It sounds finger lickin' good!     This week Wes and Charlie talk a fair amount about their impressions of Cyberpunk 2077. They've both been playing it quite a bit and having a ton of fun! Minecraft Windows 10 Bedrock Edition was finally released with raytracing, but you need to play on worlds developed specifcally to support raytracing. Wes is trying the GOG Galaxy 2.0 game management front end and so far it's working well. A few new releases this week, including Doom Eternal to the Switch and the first Medal of Honor release in 8 years, which is specifically for VR. No huge earth shakers were announced during the Game Awards. Last of Us Part II swept many of the categories. RTX 3080 cards, and most others are still in short supply. The AMD 6900XT benchmarks were released and it seems pretty solid but, in our assessment, not worth the cost above and beyond an RTX 3080. As always, thanks for listening!

    This week Wes and Charlie talk more Red Dead Redemption 2 and Dead by Daylight. Wes installed a Zen 3 5800X into his system, Charlie got the 9700K, which made their third system an 8700K. 10 December is looking to abe a very important day for gaming; Cyberpunk2077 releases, the 2021 Game Awards airs, and Epic Games is giving away two great RPGs! Matrix Games has quite the lineup of war games planned for 2021. EndeavorRX became the very first video game approved by the FDA as an effective ADHD treament for kids. AMD 6900XT benchmarks should come out on 8 Dec. Pay attention to the parts you are buying and verify the age of the reviews you are looking at. Recently it was discovered that the ADATA SX8200 Pro performs significantly worse that it did a year prior. It seems components were replaced on it that degraded file copy times by nearly 40%. They wrap up the podcast by sharing some of their experiences filtering adverse content and keeping the home network safe while the kids were growing up.

Cyber Monday begins tomorrow, but it probably makes sense to look at historical pricing for products before you pull the trigger on any deep discounts, to be sure.     This week Wes and Charlie talk more Read Dead Redemption 2, Dead by Daylight, and Watch Dogs: Legion. They cover some house cleaning efforts they've done on their home gaming systems in the last week or two and Wes shares some thoughts on the next big upgrade; there may be a Zen 3 in the next month or three. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms are out and some of the titles look great! Assassin's Creed Valhalla, COD Cold War, Yakuza are out and Prodeus enters early access. AMD RDNA2 graphics cards will hit the streets on 18 Nov and we're super excited to see the benchmarks! Nvidia is working on their own approach to Smart Access Memory which, fingers crossed, may result in some performance improvements for many of us free of charge at some point in the not-too-distant future. The Steam Halloween sale ends 2 Nov and there are some great deals to be had. They sold their lowest end gaming system and made some of the money back for their latest upgrades. RTX3070 cards went on sale, still very short in supply and no relief has been noticed for the RTX3080 cards either. However, the latest announcements for Big Navi GPUs are very exciting with the RX6800 ($579) and RX6800XT ($649) going on sell 18 Nov and the RX6900XT being released on 8 Dec. Microsoft Flight Simulator VR to enter beta soon, Star Wars Squadrons was released last week, Genshin Impact is out if you're looking for a Zelda "like" fix, and Rogue Company has entered beta. RTX 3080 and 3090 cards are still in very short supply (i.e. non-existent) and the release date for the RTX 3070 has been pushed two weeks to allow them to get off to a better start. Mafia: Defintive Edition hit the streets and Serious Sam 4 were released last week. Resident Evil Infinite Darkness will be coming to Netflix soon. Microsoft bought Bethesda for $7.5B; can you say "Elder Scrolls 6 exclusive"? Amazon announced it's answer to Google Stadia, it's called Amazon Luna. RTX 3080 card are still out of stock and so are the RTX 3090 cards, released last week. They also talk about how their house was always the hangout house, a place kids could come, relax, play games, and Wes could keep tabs on them throughout the years.

    This week Wes and Charlie have been playing more Final Fantasy 14. Charlie has also been having fun with Dead by Daylight, Rainbow 5 Siege expansion, Operation Shadow Legacy, and Among Us. They touch on new releases to include, Outer Worlds DLC, Peril on Gorgon, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, and Borderlands 3 DLC, Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck. Ubisoft's most recent Forward event revealed two new interesting titles: Immortals Fenyx Rising and Rider's Republic. Immortals Fenyx Rising has a strong Zelda: Breath of the Wild feel combined with what appear to be Souls-like boss fights. Rider's Republic is an extreme sports MMO title to include wing suits, snow sports, and mountain bike competitions and looks like great fun. The RTX 3080 Founder's Edition benchmarks will hit the streets on 16 Sep with the 3rd party benchmarks to be released on 17 Spetember, the same day they go on sale. As for the XBOX releases, the Series X will handle all your 4K needs at $499, while the Series S has you covered for 1440P at $299. One final note, Crysis Remastered and Spelunky 2 are both scheduled for release this week.

    This week Wes and Charlie talk about their discovery of the Final Fantasy XIV free trial on Steam. In Mid August Square Enix extended the free trial to include the first expansion. Now you can play, entirely free, to level 60. We're really enjoying what we're playing! Iron Harvest, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, and Avengers were recently released. HP Reverb G2 looks like it will hit the streets soon; our recommendation for a VR headset if you're in the market. NVIDIA announced the RTX 3000 series cards earlier this week and the 3080 looks like the card Wes will be going for, benchmarks pending.     This week Wes and Charlie talk a little more about completing The Shores of Gold in Sea of Thieves, talk a bit about the hardcore aspects of Hunt: Showdown, and go over their highlights from Gamescom 2020. Each of their wishlists grew by at least 10 titles from this year's Gamescom. Medal of Honor in VR, Teardown, KeyWe, and of course, Cyberpunk 2077 were some of the titles they are most interested in learning more about soon. Wes sold all his Sim and VR equipment; he just doesn't have the time to play these days. Charlie has been checking out New World in closed beta and he likes what he's been playing. RTX 3000 series card announcements are Tuesday, 1 Sep and a 3090 card may be on the menu. WoW Shadowlands is set to release on 27 Oct.
