This week, we salute Fordham University Women's Basketball alum Bryson Cavanaugh who publicly came out as transgender via a post to his Instagram! Also: The U.S. Department of Education convinced Franklin Pierce University — the school that produced CeCé Telfer, the first out trans women to win an NCAA championship in track and field — to drop its policy on inclusion of transgender student athletes by threatening to withhold federal funding. But officials in New Haven, Conn. did not buckle to similar pressure from Betsy DeVos's Office of Civil Rights. Students there will get a $3M grant for five magnet schools that DoE threatened to withhold, because of trans inclusive policies. In other news, Dawn and Karleigh discuss Amy Coney Barrett lying to the Senate Judiciary Committee and using the phrase "sexual preference," plus the final presidential debate, and Dawn has the scoop on what's coming up on Star Trek: Discovery Season 3!
