This week hosts Aljon Go (@aljongo) and Dave Bossert (@dave_bossert) talk former Disney Animator, David Pruiksma. Pruiksma worked on the films The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver & Company, The Little Mermaid, and The Rescuers Down Under. He rose to supervising animator and created the characters of Mrs. Potts and her son Chip for Beauty and the Beast. Other characters included the Sultan for Aladdin, Pumbaa for The Lion King, Flit for Pocahontas, and the characters Hugo and Victor for The Hunchback of Notre Dame. After completing work on 2001's Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Pruiksma left Disney and worked freelance as an animation director and storyboard artist for the Cartoon Network series Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. The playoffs keep chugging along and boy do I have egg on my face. "Make Chris watch Yu-Gi-Oh," I said, "it'll be hilarious." Well joke's on me. Due in part to Stefon Diggs making one of the most ridiculous plays I've ever seen, I was supposed to watch not one, not two, but three episodes of "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi." Supposed to is the key word. I've nearly hit my breaking point, and I fear that if the Eagles make it to a Super Bowl I may never recover.
