Have you ever walked down the wine aisle at Costco, picked up one of their Kirkland Signature wines and thought, “What the eff is this wine?” Because, you know, you feel like if a wine at Costco is $7.50 you should probably just buy it, but you just want to make sure you are going to like it. If that happened to you when you saw the Kirkland Signature Côtes du Rhône Villages wine and you hesitated to buy it, then this episode is for you! As we do in all of our Costco Kirkland Signature wine challenges, we pit the Kirkland brand against two other similarly priced wines and see who comes out on top. Sometimes it's Kirkland, and sometimes it ain't. This time around?!? One of the wines won the challenge hands down - no doubt about it. We also go into just what the eff Côtes du Rhône wine is, and why you should know about it. But, most importantly, we help you choose the right wine so you feel good about your purchase! Send me a Text Message! In this episode, Mike and Angie Kitko record live from Cabo San Lucas, reflecting on business, travel, relationships, profit margins, codependency, emotional pressure, and unconditional love. What starts as a casual beachside check-in quickly turns into one of the most vulnerable, soul-level conversations yet. From the cyclical nature of entrepreneurship to healing childhood patterns through the Drill Method, this episode is a masterclass in emotional honesty and spiritual sovereignty.Key TakeawaysSuccess Is Cyclical, Not Linear Business doesn't move in a straight line — it moves in seasons, waves, and contrast.Messiness Creates Connection People resonate more with truth than with perfection. Send me a Text Message! When I think of the state of the church of America, actually let me personalize it, when I think of the state of my own heart. Here is the thought that comes to mind. "It's worse than we think and it could be better than we can imagine." Some of you may not be ready to hear me say this, because it requires a softness of heart, an inclination of our souls to God. It requires a posture of surrender and brokenness and humility. It requires a choice to chase Christ with all our hearts. But if we are willing to do that...what is worse than we think can become better than we ever imagined.

Send Krystal a Text Message. The dreaded publish button. That moment when your finger hovers over the keyboard, second-guessing everything you've created. Sound familiar?Today, I'm walking and talking about the universal fear that plagues nearly every content creator: publishing your first piece. After speaking with countless creators who have their equipment set up perfectly but simply cannot bring themselves to record that first episode, I decided to address this head-on.What's fascinating is how this fear transcends experience levels. Even certified coaches and professional speakers find themselves suddenly at a loss for words when it's just them and the microphone. As one student wrote: "Every time I go to record my first episode, I completely freeze up. I don't know what to say. Does this mean I'm not meant to be a podcaster?"The truth? This happens to EVERYONE. That awkward feeling when you're talking to yourself, questioning if you sound stupid, wondering if anyone will listen—it's not unique to you. What separates successful content creators isn't the absence of these feelings but their willingness to push through them.My advice might sound overly simple, but it works: Record something. Delete it if you hate it. Record again. Keep going until you have a version you can live with. Because content creation isn't about perfection—it's about progress. You're in this for the long game, committed to showing up consistently and improving gradually.Whether you're launching a podcast, YouTube channel, or newsletter, remember that your first piece won't define you. What matters is starting somewhere and keeping going. Join our Consistent Creators Club or check out Proffitt Podcasting if you need support on this journey. The bravest thing any creator can do isn't creating perfect content—it's simply beginning. What's your biggest hurdle to hitting publish? Share your experience or send me a text through Buzzsprout. I'd love to hear which content topics you want me to tackle next!Click the "Send Krystal a Text Message" link above to send us your questions, comments, and feedback on the show! Send me a Text Message!Sometimes I look around me at the beauty of creation, family and friends around me, good things happening in people lives, and answers to prayer. In moments like that, do you know what's hard to believe? It's really hard to believe that we are living in a war zone. Every night before I go to bed, I google the war-news about Myanmar and the Ukraine. I don't have to imagine their war zone. But sitting in my office, it's hard to believe I'm in a battle. But that's the message of scripture. It's not a battle against people, that I'm talking about. It's a different kind of war. And sometimes the reason why our prayer life is anemic and our lifes are not thriving, is because we are fighting the wrong battle. What is your battle?
In this riveting conversation, Dr. Stephen Riggs shares his remarkable journey from conventional primary care physician to pioneering metabolic health specialist. After 30 years of traditional practice, everything changed when his wife handed him "The Obesity Code" by Dr. Jason Fung. Initially skeptical, Dr. Riggs tested the low-carb approach with his patients and witnessed transformations that defied his medical training: patients reversing type 2 diabetes, coming off insulin, and experiencing substantial weight loss in mere months.Dr. Riggs reveals how he built a comprehensive metabolic health clinic within a traditional healthcare system by meticulously tracking patient outcomes and demonstrating remarkable cost savings—over $550,000 annually in medication reductions from just 220 patients. He discusses his "Low Carb Bootcamp" program that achieves a 73% diabetes reversal rate and how his team approach incorporates health coaches, nutritionists, and food addiction specialists.Perhaps most fascinating is Dr. Riggs' observation that 95% of patients with food addiction see their addiction resolved within 8-12 weeks on a ketogenic diet—without specific addiction counseling. He offers practical insights on protein requirements, implementing lifestyle changes in America's heartland, and navigating resistance from colleagues and insurance companies. This conversation offers a powerful glimpse into how evidence-based nutritional interventions are quietly revolutionizing healthcare from within the system, bringing joy back to medicine by truly healing patients rather than merely managing their decline.BIG IDEA"Nutrition went from being basically irrelevant to me—I got almost zero nutritional training, what little I did was probably wrong—and now it's the biggest tool in my toolbox by far."Stephen Riggs, MD Contact InfoPersonal Website:www.livingbyDesignKetonutrition.com Metabolic Clinic Site:MercyOne.org/LivingbyDesign Send Dr. Ovadia a Text Message. Comment on the Show by Sending Mark a Text Message. The global workplace teeters on the edge of a major shift, and Gallup's State of the Global Workplace 2025 report confirms what many have sensed. Employee engagement has fallen from 23% to 21% in 2024, mirroring the drop seen during COVID-19 lockdowns and costing the global economy a staggering $438 billion in lost productivity.Surprisingly, the primary driver isn't frontline worker burnout but a significant decline in manager engagement, which fell from 30% to 27%. Young managers under 35 saw their engagement drop by five percentage points, while female managers experienced an alarming seven-point decline. Caught between increasing executive demands and evolving employee expectations, managers are being asked to "square the circle" – achieve the impossible amid constant disruption. This matters tremendously because 70% of team engagement is directly attributable to the manager. When they struggle, teams inevitably follow suit, creating a devastating ripple effect throughout organizations. The connection between engagement and overall wellbeing is equally clear – half of engaged employees report thriving in their overall lives, compared to just one-third of disengaged workers.Yet hidden within this challenge lies a transformative opportunity. Gallup estimates a fully engaged global workforce could add $9.6 trillion to the world economy – equivalent to about 9% of global GDP. The pathway to unlocking this potential is surprisingly achievable: providing basic manager training (currently missing for 56% of managers), teaching effective coaching techniques, and implementing ongoing development focused on wellbeing.Regional variations add fascinating context to the global picture. The US, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean lead with 31% engagement, while Europe lags significantly at just 13%. Australia and New Zealand boast the highest thriving rates at 56%, contrasting sharply with South Asia's concerning 15%.As artificial intelligence transforms workplaces worldwide, this pivotal moment demands strategic choices. Will organizations leverage technology to elevate human potential or risk further disengagement? The data makes one thing abundantly clear: the future of work isn't fundamentally about technology – it's about human connection, empathetic leadership, and strategic development of our most valuable resource: people. Send me a Text Message! In Luke 8, Jesus tells a story that in many ways sums up James 3. He shares a parable about seeds and soils and a 100 fold return in the harvest. But really it's all about words, and hearts, and a great return on investment in the lives of peole. It's about having the kind of heart that overflows with life on the people around us. So I can't help but ask the question, what is the texture of a good heart? That's wht this episode is all about.

But if's true, it would be good, right? In this episode we are looking at a story that Jesus told about 100x gains on investment. An investment of His Word into your heart; are you looking for a 100x return?

Send me a Text Message! If I declare to you, "We need a radical heart-revolution!" what would you think I mean? I have a sneaky suspicion that James would say that it's all about humility. We need a radical heart-revolution that takes us out of the center of the world, even out of the center of our own world. One of the key characteristics of God's way--is described by James as "Doing good works with humility." This humility thing is so illusive. What does humility look like? We've talked about this before, even recently, but I got to believe it's good for us, or at least good for me to hear it again. James says that we can't hear God, we can't follow God and we can't find life, without humility. So what we need is a radical heart-revolution.
Send Krystal a Text Message. When I hear tech visionaries claim that AI will replace human connections, I can't help but notice an important fact they often overlook: our evolution has been shaped by togetherness and communication. In this conversation, Joe explores the importance of genuine human connection, even as technology continues to evolve. As an entrepreneurial parent, he shares the unique challenges of balancing business demands with raising young children, emphasizing the importance of tailored advice for "solopreneur parents" who face time constraints. We explore practical AI applications, such as "vibe coding" and using AI for "rubber ducking" to brainstorm solutions. Joe stresses the importance of authenticity in using these tools, ensuring that the final product reflects the human experience rather than becoming another generic AI output.Joe and I both believe that authenticity is essential for creators; we should stay true to our voices rather than chase trendy tactics for quick success.
