We sit down with Hollywood makeup artist, Erin Koplow, to discuss what's it like being a makeup artist in Hollywood. She brings us on her journey from growing up in Florida to chasing a dream of doing makeup in Hollywood, where she ended up working with some of the most accomplished makeup people in the industry. From dodging a gig in the porn industry to The Blob to Gremlins 2 to Something About Mary, she's seen (and shaved) it all. Join us and our friend Erin as she shares what friendships have meant to her while working in such a crazy industry.
Today I'm sitting down with renowned Hollywood makeup artist and skincare expert Helen Marray-Finlay. Makeup artist to the stars, Helen has spent her career creating the unforgettable faces of our favourite characters, working on movies including Pirates of the Caribbean and hit TV shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine. But after undergoing a hysterectomy and experiencing menopause, Helen's journey took a detour, and driven by her knowledge and passion for skincare, she founded Finlay+Green, a simplified skincare for menopause. Today, Helen shares her insights on Hollywood, the glamour or otherwise, life as a midlife woman in LA and California, as well as some - certainly for me - much-needed makeup tips.
