The Dallas Connection (1994) is the second and final film from Andy Sidaris’ son. Like Enemy Gold it’s filmed mostly in Shreveport Louisiana and therefore isn’t very exotic. But that’s where Julie Strain, Julie K. Smith and company come in. There are computer chips, satellites, historic meteor showers, regular showers and RC vehicle murders. Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 37 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! We continue our deep dive into the final seven Sidaris films, with the penultimate film in the series, Day of the Warrior! Andy is back in the driver’s seat for this one - writing and directing - and it’s good to have him back, frankly. He’s working with a whole new generation of stars though: the great Julie Strain is back, but for the first time he’s utilising the talents of Julie K. Smith, and the bizarrely proportioned Shae Marks. And there’s an American Gladiator, and also a WCW wrestler who gets to play the titular Warrior. But he’s not the Warrior the wrestler - the Ultimate Warrior, that is - he’s Marcus ‘Buff’ Bagwell. To try and explain this honestly confusing situation we look at the life and times of Marcus Alexander Bagwell, and discover three primary facts: he’s buff, he’s the stuff, and the ladies can’t get enough. Also, he had a theme song called ‘Buff Daddy’, and he wrestled in a tag team with a guy who called himself Big Poppa Pump. Even stranger than that, he was, in 2014, on the 5th season of the Showtime ‘reality’ series Gigolos. Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 2GO-GO69or(724) 246-4669!
