"The sooner they know, the better they can deal with it, and if they're hearing from me that it's not gonna happen. That has a totally different feel than if we wait until they figure out on their own that it's not gonna happen and then are coming back to me for it."Karen & Paul discuss the importance of timely communication when project deadlines change. They emphasize why it's crucial to inform stakeholders as soon as it's clear the original timeline won't be met. The conversation explores common reasons people avoid delivering bad news, such as fear of disappointment or repercussions.

It's Wednesday, August 27th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark India threatens life in prison for sharing Christ Christians may face life in prison for simply sharing the Gospel in India. The country's northern state of Uttarakhand amended its anti-conversion law last week. Violations are now punishable by life imprisonment. The law also cracks down on sharing one's faith through social media. Rev. Vijayesh Lal told Morning Star News, “These provisions, with penalties up to life imprisonment, represent some of India's harshest anti-conversion measures and could turn ordinary conversations about belief into criminal acts.” Please pray for the church in India. The country is ranked 11th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult places to be a Christian.  Trump imposes 50% tariffs on India over funding Russian war The U.S. imposed new tariffs on exports from India starting today. The tariffs come in response to India's continued purchasing of Russian oil. President Donald Trump's levies on Indian exports are at 50% now. India has become one of the top buyers of Russian oil since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. The Trump administration is accusing India of effectively funding Russia's war through its oil purchases.  5,000 Irish march for Jesus Around 5,000 people joined the March for Jesus in Belfast, Northern Ireland over the weekend. Rev. John Ahern organized the event. He told Christian Daily International, “As the people of God, if we're willing to humble ourselves and pray, as the Bible says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, and turn from our wicked ways, God has promised to hear from Heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land.” The event builds on last year's march in Dublin where about 12,000 Christians participated. Another march in Dublin is scheduled for next month.  2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Minnesota Christian colleges allowed to offer free credit to high schoolers A U.S. District Court ruled in favor of faith-based colleges in Minnesota last Friday. Previously, the state barred such colleges from offering free college credit to high school students. Minnesota parents successfully challenged the decision with the help of The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty.  Diana Thomson, senior counsel at Becket, said, “Minnesota tried to cut off educational opportunities to thousands of high schoolers simply for their faith. That's not just unlawful—it's shameful. This ruling is a win for families who won't be strong-armed into abandoning their beliefs, and a sharp warning to politicians who target them.” D.C. hospital halts transgender drugs on minors ABC News reports that Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C. will no longer offer transgender drugs to minors.  It's the latest hospital in the U.S. to stop offering so-called “gender transition” drugs. Other hospitals to make similar decisions include Yale Medicine, Kaiser Permanente, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and UChicago Medicine.  These decisions follow President Trump's executive order to end federal funding for transgender procedures on minors. U.S. gov't owns 10% of Intel stocks Last Friday, Intel announced an $8.9 billion investment in the company's stock by the U.S. government. This means the government will own about 10% of the computer chip manufacturer. The deal converts government grants into equity share in the company.  On Truth Social, President Trump wrote, “The United States paid nothing for these Shares, and the Shares are now valued at approximately $11 Billion Dollars. This is a great Deal for America and, also, a great Deal for INTEL.” 100-year-long German prayer chain And finally, this week is the anniversary of when a Christian community in Herrnhut, Germany began a round-the-clock “prayer chain.” The community started after Count Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf opened his estate to Protestant refugees. On August 27, 1727, dozens in the community committed to pray, in turns, every hour of every day. The prayer chain reportedly lasted over one hundred years. The Moravian community went on to send hundreds of missionaries around the world, becoming the spearhead of Protestant missions.  Colossians 4:2 says, “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, August 27th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com). Martha Arevalo, executive director of the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) in Los Angeles, described an atmosphere of fear and chaos as federal authorities escalate enforcement in immigrant communities. Speaking on Everyday Injustice, she said residents are facing armored vehicles, masked officers, and indiscriminate detentions that sweep up people regardless of their immigration status. Arevalo warned that Los Angeles has become a “testing ground” for aggressive tactics that could soon spread nationwide. “What we're seeing is an administration that is not following the law,” she said, pointing to raids where individuals are detained without warrants, dialogue, or regard for constitutional protections. She emphasized that those being targeted include not only undocumented individuals but also lawful residents, DACA recipients, and even U.S. citizens. “If you look Latino, if you look like you could be an immigrant, they might get you,” she said. The impact has rippled across the city, leaving schools half-empty, businesses deserted, and families uncertain about the whereabouts of loved ones. Despite the escalating crisis, Arevalo said her organization remains committed to defending immigrant rights through legal services, rapid response, and advocacy. She stressed that the broader public should see this not only as an immigrant issue but as a test of democracy itself: “Today is this community in Los Angeles and the immigrant community. Tomorrow it could be you”.

Keeping It Real with Cam Marston

On this week's Keepin' It Real, Cam has a message for parents whose children are playing high school sports as his youngest children enter their final year of high school. Every high school sport is suffering from a shortage of officials and referees. Zip it, he says, please just zip it.  -----  The second contact on a volleyball can be a double contact so long as it's one attempt and doesn't go over the net. That's a new volleyball rule set to begin this season. For years parents in the stands would holler “double” whenever they saw what they thought was a double touch on the ball on the second attempt. Now that rule is gone. Unless you know volleyball, none of this may make any sense. This rule change is a big deal. This school year my favorite youngest son and daughter, our twins, begin what will likely be their final experience with organized sports. They're high schoolers. Last night my daughter's first volleyball match of the season was in Birmingham. My wife is her coach. Tonight, my son's football team plays their first game against their archrival. Both teams require a parent meeting before the season begins. It's usually held in the school gym or cafeteria and the coaches go over the season's logistics and such and make their requests of the parents. This may be unique to our school, but my hunch is that it's the same everywhere. At both this year's football and volleyball meetings, the coaches implored the parents to leave the referees and officials alone. Both coaches mentioned that there was a shortage of officials. The veteran officials were quitting, and too few new ones were signing up. The reason. One word: parents. In Texas, the association that manages volleyball officials said that if they feel their officials are treated poorly or threatened, which happens, they will not allow the officials to return to that school, effectively forcing the school to forfeit every home match since the home team is responsible for booking officials. And our football coach told the gathered parents that when the game is over no one is to speak to the officials. They are to be allowed to leave the field and go to their cars without a word from the fans. Violations of this may result in the offending parent not being allowed back into the stadium. And the problem is spiraling. Since the veteran officials are leaving, the few new ones are being accelerated through their training and are now officiating games at speeds and skill levels beyond their little experience. They're doing the best they can but likely making poor calls due to inexperience. The parents are losing their minds. And referees and officials are wondering if the little they earn filling this role for the kids and for the sake of the sport is worth it. It's hard to argue differently. All this is certainly a part of something larger in our nation today. And I don't have time right now to hypothesize on what that may be. Just know this: The second contact on a volleyball can be a double contact so long as it's one attempt and doesn't go over the net. It's a new rule. If you see it differently, zip it. The same goes for the holding call. And your fast-food order, that guy in traffic who cut you off, and the reservation agent on the phone. Just zip it. There are already too few people willing to do the job, whatever it is. I'm Cam Marston and I'm just trying to Keep It Real.

In this in-depth episode of our legal advice series, Attorney Robert Navar of the Law Office of Robert Andrew Navar Esq.  shares exactly how he helps clients remove active traffic ticket warrants and fight the underlying charges—without paying unnecessary court warrant fees or risking jail time.If you've ever missed a court date, forgotten to pay a ticket, or received a letter warning of an arrest warrant, you'll want to hear this. Robert explains that when you fail to appear in court or pay your fine by the deadline, a judge can issue a bench warrant—often called an alias warrant in traffic cases. This warrant attaches to your name and driver's license, meaning police can arrest you at any time, even during a routine traffic stop.Ignoring a traffic ticket warrant can lead to severe consequences:Arrest at home, work, or during travelAdditional fines and court costsPoints added to your licenseHigher insurance premiumsA permanent conviction on your driving recordRobert breaks down the types of warrants he fights:Alias Warrants – Issued when you haven't entered a plea or paid the ticket. With these, an attorney can lift the warrant and continue fighting the ticket.Capias Warrants – Issued for not complying with a court order, such as failing to complete a payment plan. These are harder to remove without paying the full amount or serving jail time, but Robert explains your options.OMNI Holds – Restrictions placed by the Texas DPS on your driver's license for failing to appear in court or pay a fine, preventing you from legally driving. You'll learn why hiring a warrant lawyer for traffic tickets is more effective—and more affordable—than using a bail bondsman. Many bond companies can't post bonds for tickets and will often hire a lawyer anyway. By going directly to an attorney like Robert, you skip the middleman, save money, and get legal advice tailored to your case.Robert also discusses his process:Filing an appearance bond to lift the warrant immediately.Requesting discovery, including body cam footage, dash cam video, and officer reports, to identify inconsistencies.Challenging procedural errors in the charging instrument or citation.Negotiating with prosecutors to secure dismissals or defensive driving eligibility even when clients don't normally qualify.Once the warrant is removed, Robert doesn't stop there—he continues to fight the original ticket to prevent it from becoming a conviction on your record. Paying old tickets without legal help can lead to permanent marks that affect employment, especially for jobs requiring a clean driving record or background check.Key Topics Covered in This Episode:What triggers a traffic ticket warrant. Why you should never ignore a bench warrant. The difference between alias and capias warrants. How OMNI holds affect your license and ability to drive. Why hiring a lawyer is better than using a bail bondsman for traffic tickets. How to lift a warrant quickly without paying court warrant fees.Steps to fight the underlying ticket after warrant removal.Protecting your record and avoiding higher insurance rates. If you have an active traffic ticket warrant—or think you might—don't wait. Acting quickly with the help of an experienced traffic ticket attorney can mean the difference between a clean record and long-term consequences.Contact Information:

Trump 2.0 is causing mass anxiety throughout “Indian Country” and across Turtle Island so far in 2025. As of mid-June 2025, the Trump Administration's proposed Fiscal 2026 federal budget calls for nearly $1 billion in cuts to the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and other federal Native American programs. In addition, President Trump signed “Birthright Citizenship” Executive Order 14160 on January 20th, 2025, where the Trump Administration believes it could denaturalize Native American U.S. citizenship, especially if the U.S. Supreme Court in Trump v. CASA, Inc. agrees with the Trump Administration. But Native America nations have an extra-constitutional relationship with the United States government, and this extra-constitutional relationship is the result of more than 380 signed and ratified treaties between Native American nations and the U.S. government – an approximate similar number of treaties were signed but never ratified. The U.S. government, however, must legally and adhere to its “Trust” responsibilities its treaty obligations. Enduring questions are guest addresses: Do the Trump Administration's proposed budget cuts along with the DOGE cuts to federal programs violate the Treaties between Native American nations and the Trust Doctrine? In addition, does President Donald Trump's Birthright Citizenship executive order place Native Americans in real threat of losing their U.S. citizenship contrary to the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924? Lastly, does the combined actions of the Trump Administration plausibly suggest the possibility of new “Terminations” reminiscent of the 1950s? Today on American Indian Airwaves, our guest for the hour provides an in-depth description and analysis on the Trump 2.0 Administrations actions within the context of the understanding the legalities and constitutionality of the treaties between the Native American nations and the U.S. federal government. Today's interview was conducted prior to the four recent SCOTUS and lower court decisions on the Birthright Citizenship executive order. Guest: David E. Wilkins, a citizen of the Lumbee Nation, is a political scientist specializing in federal Indian policy and law. He is the E. Claiborne Robins Distinguished Professor in Leadership Studies in the University of Richmond's Jepson School of Leadership Studies and professor emeritus of the University of Minnesota. In this open and thoughtful conversation, David Marshall is joined by Barrie Gellis—long-time student of The Seth Material and one of the few people to have attended Jane Roberts' original ESP classes.  Together, they explore some of the most common misunderstandings surrounding Seth's teachings and reflect on the deeper implications for those genuinely working with the material.  Explore David's new spiritual community here: https://www.skool.com/modernmystic-6035/about Links to Barrie's books here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/stores/Barrie-Gellis/author/B002BM45K6 This is not a teaching or a lecture, but a shared inquiry into the subtle and sometimes misinterpreted layers of one of the most influential channeled works of the 20th century.   Key topics covered include: 0:00 • Misconceptions about Framework 1 and Framework 2   (4:40): Gellis explains that many people overemphasize F2 (non-physical reality) and dismiss F1 (physical reality) as an illusion. He stresses that both are real and serve crucial purposes.   05:18 • The Purpose of Linear Time (5:18): Linear time in physical reality provides a necessary "pause to reflect," which is essential for learning and spiritual evolution, particularly in understanding "violations of natural guilt" (8:08).   08:08 • Violations of Natural Guilt (8:08): This concept refers to violating one's own nature of love, compassion, and goodness, which occurs when harming others. Natural guilt acts as an inner trigger to prevent repeating harmful acts.   10.08 • The Importance of Helping Others (10:08): Gellis emphasizes that while creating one's own reality, it's crucial to include helping and not harming others. He clarifies that dismissing others' suffering by saying "they created their reality" is a misunderstanding of Seth's teachings (11:06).   18:13 • The Concept of "Victims" (18:33): Gellis clarifies that while on a deeper level there are no victims (as individuals subconsciously choose their reality), the term "victim" is valid in physical reality to describe someone who experiences harm they didn't consciously choose or want.   28:03 • Judging Reality vs. Judging People (28:03): The discussion highlights that assessing one's reality and judging situations is a necessary part of growth, but this differs from judging individuals as inherently bad or unworthy.   40:08 • Changing Beliefs (40:08): Gellis shares his personal experience of changing the belief that "people are good" and the importance of recognizing that good is stronger than evil. He suggests exploring one's beliefs, especially those related to personal struggles, through stream of consciousness writing to identify and change them (20:49).   1:10:41. • Love as the Foundation of Reality (1:10:41): Both David Marshall and Barrie Gellis agree that love is a fundamental condition and the basis for all existence, holding reality together. 1.13:55 • Kindness as a Superpower  (1:13:55): Gellis describes kindness as a revolutionary power that is often underrated and goes beyond mere behavior.

BREAK: Ingles Markets 6 STORY 1: Cobb commission approves property tax rate, budget Cobb County commissioners approved a $1.3 billion budget for the upcoming fiscal year along partisan lines, keeping the general fund millage rate flat at 8.46 mills. The budget includes a 3.8% increase over last year, staff raises of 2-5%, and four new positions funded by fire and water funds. While the fire fund millage rate was slightly reduced, rising property values will generate $13 million more in tax revenue. Public commenters raised concerns about transparency, spending, and the impact on renters. Chairwoman Lisa Cupid defended the budget, emphasizing sustainability and efficient use of resources. STORY 2: Riverside Parkway residents sound alarm over 'unsafe' living conditions Residents along Riverside Parkway in Mableton are demanding action to address unsafe and neglected conditions in apartment complexes like Five 7 Five, Residence at Riverside Row, and Silver Creek Crossings. Issues include pest infestations, overgrown grass, leaks, and broken windows, with many residents feeling ignored. The properties, now under receivership, are managed by Foresight Asset Management, but residents report little improvement. Mableton Mayor Michael Owens and local leaders are pushing for stricter ordinances and collaboration to ensure safe, affordable housing without displacing residents. Advocates stress the need for long-term solutions for essential workers living in the area.
