Bradley Whitford, a classically trained stage actor, gained fame as “Josh Lyman,” on NBC's 'The West Wing,' which earned him his first Emmy award in 2001. He went on to win Emmys in 2015 and 2019 for his work in 'Transparent' and 'The Handmaid's Tale' and is grateful to have had the opportunity last year to direct the show's fifth season penultimate episode, “Allegiance.” He is currently filming “The Diplomat” alongside his West Wing co- star, Allison Janney. Whitford appeared in AMC's limited series 'Parish' alongside Giancarlo Esposito, a drama about a taxi driver whose life is upended after picking up a Zimbabwean gangster. He also starred in the independent film 'I'll Be Right' There with Edie Falco and completed work on Netflix's limited series 'The Madness,' opposite Colman Domingo. He is also known for his work in the Oscar-nominated films 'Get Out,' 'The Post,' 'Scent of a Woman,' and Lin-Manuel Miranda's 'tick, tick… BOOM!' Whitford also produced the documentary, 'Not Going Quietly,' about the life of progressive activist Ady Barkan. Other notable film credits include Warner Bros' 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters,' Disney's 'Saving Mr. Banks,' and HBO's Lyndon B. Johnson biopic, 'All The Way,' among many others.  TV credits include Apple TV+'s 'Echo 3,' NBC's 'Perfect Harmony,' which he executive produced and starred in; FOX/Netflix's 'Brookline Nine-Nine,' Showtime's 'Happy-ish,' ABC's 'Trophy Wife,' CBS' 'The Mentalist,' FOX's 'The Good Guys,' and NBC's 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,' among others. Growing up in Wisconsin, Whitford studied theater and English literature at Wesleyan University and attended the Juilliard Theater Center. He has appeared on Broadway in Aaron Sorkin's 'A Few Good Men' and in 'Boeing, Boeing' with Mark Rylance. Off-Broadway credits include 'Curse of the Starving Class,' 'Measure for Measure' at Lincoln Center, and 'Three Days of Rain' at Manhattan Theatre Club. Regional credits include the title role in 'Coriolanus' at the Folger Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C., and Oberon and Theseus in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at Hartford Stage. In 2021, Whitford starred in the Old Vic's production of 'A Christmas Carol' at the Ahmanson in Los Angeles as “Ebenezer Scrooge.” Also at the Ahmanson, in 2023, Whitford recently played the scene-stealing “Narrator” in the hit farce 'Peter Pan Goes Wrong.' Larry Ellison and his son David Ellison have won the bid to acquire Warner Brothers Discovery in a $110 billion deal, edging out Netflix. The Ellisons, close allies of Donald Trump, are financing the purchase with $70 billion in debt, including roughly $25 billion from Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds. The final price of $31 per share was more than four times the recent low of Warner Brothers Discovery stock. What this means for American media is staggering. The Ellisons already control CBS and CBS News through their earlier $8 billion Paramount merger. This new deal adds CNN, HBO, HBO Max, DC Comics, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Comedy Central, Showtime, TNT, TBS, the Food Network, HGTV, Discovery, Adult Swim, OWN, The Learning Channel, Avatar Studios, and the Lord of the Rings and Mission Impossible franchises. Larry Ellison also holds a significant stake in TikTok through Oracle. Hawk outlines how Bari Weiss, placed in charge of CBS News and 60 Minutes, has already driven away viewers and credibility, including Anderson Cooper, who walked away from 60 Minutes after 19 years. The same playbook is expected to be applied to CNN. The deeper concern is the Ellisons' intent to gut creative talent and replace programming with AI-generated content to service the enormous debt load this deal carries. With Trump signaling regulatory approval, antitrust challenges are effectively neutralized. Scott Jennings and CNN's panel-yelling format come up as symbols of a media landscape already in decline. The consolidation of this much media power in the hands of Trump-aligned billionaires represents a fundamental threat to independent journalism and creative expression in America. She is the co-director of the Netflix series Flint Town as and directed on the reboot of Unsolved Mysteries and AppleTV's Home. From 1979 to 1986 Roberts served in the US Army's Military Intelligence. Working at PIC-K (Photo Interpretation Center in Korea). Roberts held a Top Secret S.B.I. (Special Background Investigation) clearance as an Intelligence Analyst, later receiving an H-Identifier with OPFOR (Opposing Forces), where Roberts wore a Soviet uniform, ski mask and trained elite troops like US Army's Special Forces, 101st Airborne, Air Force Special Operations, Delta Force, 82nd Airborne, Marine Recon the Soviet Threat and W.E.F.T. (Wings, Engine, Fuselage, Tail section) in identifying Soviet aircraft.Roberts in 2004 became a paranormal investigator and with 750 investigations under his belt and 750 paranormal articles he has written lead him to be in documentaries. Candice Guardino is a comedian, writer, host and producer.  Brooklyn-born Candice Guardino grew up in a loud, loving Italian family on Staten Island—an upbringing she transformed into her hit theatrical comedy Italian Bred. Inspired by true events, the special follows Candice as she seamlessly slips into multiple characters, including her brassy grandmother, taking audiences on a hilarious and heartfelt journey through her childhood. Italian Bred was written and performed by Candice and filmed through her production company, Anthony Street Productions (launched in 2022). The special was produced by Chris DiPetta (Billy Gardell's Halftime, Showtime's Road Dogs), directed by Samuel Brownfield (longtime Jim Gaffigan collaborator), edited by Brent Katz (Now You See Him), with musical arrangements by Emmy-nominated David Dabbon (Oh Mary!, Beetlejuice the Musical). The original song, "Change in Me," was written by Candice and Dabbon. Candice is currently writing her debut comedic essay collection, Confessions of an Italian Bred Girl (Because Therapy Is Expensive and Laughing at Myself Is Free), which is being shopped to publishers. Almost all streamers offer some sort of discount via perks through Credit Cards, Cable and TV Providers, or Mobile Phone plans. On today's show we go through the top streamers and how you can get their services for free or reduced price.  Neflix T-Mobile: Netflix on Us is included with many of their higher-tier unlimited plans. It provides Netflix Standard with Ads for free.  Other carriers occasionally bundle it, but T-Mobile is currently the most consistent and prominent in the US. Xfinity (Comcast): Adding their "StreamSaver" bundle ($15/mo) includes Netflix Standard with Ads alongside Peacock Premium with ads and Apple TV+.   Similar occasional perks appear with Spectrum, Verizon Fios, or others during promotions, but they're not guaranteed long-term. Peacock Instacart+ If you subscribe to Instacart+ about $99/year, you can get Peacock Premium included at no extra cost. Xfinity Internet customers on Gigabit or higher plans can get up to 2 years of Peacock Premium free. Xfinity NOW TV streaming service subscribers get Peacock Premium included. Xfinity Rewards members (especially higher tiers like Diamond/Platinum) can claim Peacock Premium as a perk at no extra cost. Walmart+ membership often bundles Peacock Premium for free as part of the subscription benefits. Promotional deals or bundles — These pop up from time to time, and can save money. Student/Young Adult discounts — heavily reduced  about $5.99/month for students via verification or young adult offers. AppleTV+ When you buy a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV 4K, you get 3 months of Apple TV+ free.  Apple One bundle trial — Plans start around $19.95/month (Individual) after the trial, making Apple TV+ effectively part of a discounted bundle compared to subscribing separately. T-Mobile (US) — With qualifying Magenta or Magenta MAX plans, you can get Apple TV+ included at no extra cost. Some carriers (like Verizon or others in the past) have occasionally bundled Apple TV+ free or discounted with phone plans, but T-Mobile is the most consistent.  Peacock + Apple TV+ bundle — In some regions, you can bundle Apple TV+ with Peacock for around $14.99/month (saving over 30% compared to separate subscriptions).  Paramount+ Walmart+ subscribers ($12.95/month or $98/year) get Paramount+ Essential (the ad-supported plan) included at no extra cost. Verified U.S. military members get 50% off any plan for life (via SheerID verification). This is a permanent discount. Teachers Discount — Teachers may get 50% off any plan. Hulu Eligible U.S. service members, veterans, and families can get 25% off Hulu (With Ads) through The Exchange (shopmyexchange.com).  Select T-Mobile plans include ad-supported Hulu for free.
