This magician, illusionist, actor, and adventurer first appeared on the show 11-30-2020. This is where you find the story of his journey so far. In this episode, we chat about the upcoming SECOND season of his adventure show 'Culture Shock: Bridging Culture Through Magic', on TUBI TV. We also discuss being an illusionist, and some of his insane magic tricks. Then we talk about some of the adventures that he has had on his travels, including some of the weird stuff that he has been asked to eat in faraway lands! Rich is also an actor, who's production banner, 12th Planet Productions, starring in the action thriller, “Fallen Cards”which he wrote and co-directed along with Zack Ward and Justin Zagri now in post-production and other credits include the comedy, “Slay Belles” starring Barry Bostwick as well as the critically acclaimed, “The Debt Collector” starring Scott Adkins, Michael Pare, Louis Mandylor, directed by Jesse V. Johnson, the action adventure “Knight And Day” starring Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz,directed by James Mangold and the family comedy, “Cowboy Spirit.” Rich Manley was born in Concord Massachusetts and raised in the city of Stow and as a ten-year-old learned magic from his grandfather, Dr. Douglas Marchant, a surgeon who explored global cultures and their medicinal traditions. The review of 2024 films are in full swing, but first there is the annual look back at the movies seen last year that were NOT FROM last year. Its the NOT 2024 Top Ten, where we highlight films worthy of a second discussion because they just impacted us so much.     And for the 3rd year running on this particular episode, Dave, Mikey, and #TwitterlessDrEarl welcome in Friend of the Show, streaming live from the freezing metropolis somewhere in Bainbridge, Wyoming, that is one Jacob "Roth from Wyoming."   Together, the foursome discuss their top ten faves of the year from all over the place, as far back as the early 20s and 30s to all the way through the 60s and 70s and in 2010s and 2020s... assigned movies come into play as films others were asked to watch appear in various Top Tens, while Burgess recommended movies keep coming up as well.  Mikey is loving some old Gena Rowland and Walter Matthau as an action star, while #XLessDrEarl digs into more music docs, Dave revisits a Hallmark fave, and Roth finally sets sail on the ship of dreams. 2024 has been the year of surprises and films exceeding our expectations in terms of martial arts cinema. First, we had ‘Twilight Warriors: Walled In' which ended up being an INCREDIBLE film that we honestly both went into expecting to be disappointed. Instead, we were treated to one of our favorite martial arts movies of the past decade! Then we had ‘Officer Black Belt', which came out of NOWHERE and gave us one of the most moving and powerful narratives to ever be told in the martial arts film genre! Alessandra WilliamsTake a walk with me down Fascination Street as I get to know actress Alessandra Williams. In this episode, we chat about her growing up in New Jersey, and where some of the best pizza is. Then we get into what made her want to become an actress in the first place. She explains how gymnastics and competitive cheerleading as a youth, helped her win some of her first auditions. Alessandra tells a wonderful story abut moonwalking into an audition for a Bollywood film; and how that turned out. Then we discuss some of her other passions. Alessandra not only acts, but paints, and writes children's books. Naturally, I ask about how and why she became a member of The Actors Studio, and she tells me how Al Pacino helped her get in. We cover a few of her film projects with Peter Berg, and she cracks me up with a tale about working with Gina Gershon.
