Acomi and Turk182 bundle up against the unyielding cold of a nuclear winter and try to survive in a world run by power hungry, pleasure seeking gangsters. Among those fighting each other for control of dwindling resources is woman who seems to have it all. But, it wasn't without pain, struggles, and sacrifice. Now, for the fate of everyone, she has to fight to save the two things she cares about most. The man she loves, and the her moral code. Julie Strain is Battle Queen 2020 (2001). A movie where everything bad is what makes it good. And everything good makes it even better. Early, crappy Amiga computer CGI graphics, a narrative voice over that tells what happens between scenes, low budget, limited shooting locations, scene chewing acting, and the best thing of all, the incomparable Julie Strain. Join Acomi and Turk as they burn survivors for warmth, and fight the other gangsters for time and money at the brothel. A brothel run by a woman with a heart of glass, nerves of steel, the will of Hercules, and breasts of the finest saline and most skilled doctor. Watch with them as they learn the only one that can save us from a horribly bleak future is Battle Queen 2020. Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS! During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. It's a journey, dear listeners, so strap in and get ready for the trip of a lifetime. Join the madness! Go to our official TRAPPO blog and tell us whatever the hell is on your mind! There are no rules anymore, no guidelines. Just share whatever you want. Seen any interesting movies, lately? Read any engrossing books? Heard any cool music? Robert Ray Shafer is an American character actor who has appeared in film, television, commercials, voice-over and theater. Shafer, sometimes credited as Bobby Ray Shafer, is perhaps best known for playing Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration on the American sitcom The Office, and has amassed a substantial cult following for his portrayal of Officer Ted Warnicky (more commonly known as Joe Vickers) in the 1989 horror-comedy Psycho Cop and the sequel Psycho Cop Returns. On today's episode, we chat with Bobby about everything from getting Mike Tyson & Robin Givens drunk to him working with Julie Strain and partying with Christopher Lambert and being invited to David Niven Jr's Wedding! Acomi and Turk182 realize why some prayers go unanswered. Sometimes God can't answer your prayers. But, Satan can! And, that must be how we ended up with the long awaited and severly underwhelming and disjointed Heavy Metal 2000 (2000) also known as Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.2. Based on the Melting Pot graphic novel by Simon Bisley, Kevin Eastman, and Eric Talbot the movie stars Julie Strain, in both voice and likeness, as the heroine... Julie. Making a loose connection to the original film, with a mysterious glowing meteorite being the underlying antagonist, the main villain travels the cosmos in search of a lost alien race that can make him immortal. With Julie's home world being the first stop on the Self Indulgence Mass Destruction intergalactic tour - Coming to planet near you! - she embarks on a reckless journey of revenge. Lackluster animation devoid of detail and shading, combined with emerging CGI rendered graphics make watching the movie as disjointed as watching a black & white movie with old school red & blue 3D glasses. Like the first movie HM 2K has an amazing hard rock soundtrack, but the songs don't fit the scenes they're in. Join Acomi and Turk as they try to convince each other to not open the airlock and embrace the cold death of space instead of watching anymore of Heavy Metal 2000. On the plus side there are a multitude of pictures online of the amazon goddess Julie Strain dressed as her HM 2K character. Complete with badass weapon. Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 98 of your guide to the truly astonishing world of softcore films, and the world’s number one podcast on that subject! Oh hey, we’re back! We took a little hiatus to move, but it started earlier and finished later than expected. But Get Soft is 100% back, with the episode we’d planned to do in February when Julie Strain’s passing was a little more recent. Still, it’s never a bad time to pay tribute to the Eternal Queen of ‘90s Softcore, and what better film to do that with than John Quinn’s 2001 feature Sex Court: The Movie! And what better guest to have join us than Compañeros Radio Networks’ very own Heather! Sex Court: The Movie is a movie, based on the TV show Sex Court. There are some pretty awful moments, and there are some great moments. We’ve missed this. And of course, we talk about the late, great Julie Strain. We're back! This week, Katie and Chris watch...well, basically just softcore porn. We're doing a blind commentary to the 2001 direct to video b-movie, Battle Queen 2020. It stars Julie Strain, Julie Strain's breasts, a murder of Canadians, and (weirdly) a few child actors for some reason. Watch along with us! This Skinemax fiasco is clearly NSFW, but as you're probably working from home- fuck it! This one's on Amazon...boy is it ever.
Witchcraft, jealousy, and revenge! This week Oscar and Clemente review Sorceress from 1995. A movie about women doing witchcraft for the benefit of their husbands even though they never asked them or even wanted them to do it.
Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 40 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! It’s the end of an era, as we take a look at the last of the Sidaris filmography, with Andy’s 1998 swansong L.E.T.H.A.L. Ladies: Return to Savage Beach. It’s a gigantic, complicated, labyrinthine piece of work: literally minutes of exposition at a time, and an ending that would make the writers of Scooby Doo wonder if they'd gone too far. Plus, all the usual gadgets, remote controlled vehicle explosions and fit-’em-in-where-you-can sex scenes you’ve come to expect from the great man. Is the film a perfect ending to a wonderful career? Well, that’s up for debate, but we do all get a little misty eyed saying goodbye to a great filmmaker. And this time we turn the spotlight on the legendary Shae Marks: Tiger herself! She only did two of Andy’s films, but she made an unforgettable impact, that’s for sure. She was best buds with co-stars Carrie Westcott and Julie Strain, and almost starred in a film written and directed by Julie’s then-husband (and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator) Kevin Eastman called Phasmophobia! Unfortunately it never got off the ground. Goddamn! What a wild ride that would have been! Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 2GO-GO69 or (724) 246-4669!
If you ever saw an Andy Sidaris movie, you knew his style instantly. Heroic women, explosions, wailing guitar, and usually a ninja or two. In this episode, Andrew and Kate check out 2 of the 12 films in the LETHAL Ladies series: 1989's "Savage Beach" and its 1998 sequel, "Return to Savage Beach" starring cult film legend Julie Strain.

Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 37 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! We continue our deep dive into the final seven Sidaris films, with the penultimate film in the series, Day of the Warrior! Andy is back in the driver’s seat for this one - writing and directing - and it’s good to have him back, frankly. He’s working with a whole new generation of stars though: the great Julie Strain is back, but for the first time he’s utilising the talents of Julie K. Smith, and the bizarrely proportioned Shae Marks. And there’s an American Gladiator, and also a WCW wrestler who gets to play the titular Warrior. But he’s not the Warrior the wrestler - the Ultimate Warrior, that is - he’s Marcus ‘Buff’ Bagwell. To try and explain this honestly confusing situation we look at the life and times of Marcus Alexander Bagwell, and discover three primary facts: he’s buff, he’s the stuff, and the ladies can’t get enough. Also, he had a theme song called ‘Buff Daddy’, and he wrestled in a tag team with a guy who called himself Big Poppa Pump. Even stranger than that, he was, in 2014, on the 5th season of the Showtime ‘reality’ series Gigolos. Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 2GO-GO69or(724) 246-4669!
