In pro wrestling there are several wrestlers who are controversial. Some are actually really controversial. And then there's Scott Steiner. Arguably the man who angered fans more than anyone is this week's guest on Going Ringside. Steiner came in as a babyface for many years alongside his brother Rick as part of the Steiner Brothers tag team. But in the latter half of the 1990's he decided to change his presentation. And “Big Poppa Pump” was born. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
"You cant just have matches, nobody gives a shit if there are no storyline". These were the words of the Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner recently about AEW that made a lot of fans upset. Some of the fans even went as far to say that we shouldn't listen to anything The Big Booty Daddy had to say about wrestling because he was "washed up" that he "couldn't wrestle" and that "he only did two moves". But is that really true or were the fans just upset over the criticism of the Hall of Famer about AEW? To help me find out if Scott Steiner's word on modern day wrestling is legit, Ryan Gray from the NOSO Wrestling Podcast joins in on this deep wrestling investigation! Oh, and we also went over Monday Night RAW from 08/19. https://www.instagram.com/rmgray1185/https://www.instagram.com/snugwrestling/

As we head into the final couple of months of World Championship Wrestling, the Nature Boy Ric Flair and his Magnificent 7" faction have been running roughshod on the roster. The group of veterans was supposed to form at the end of the Sin pay per view, but their debut was botched on account of Sid's broken leg. Adding some intrigue these days are the mysterious surveillance cameras capturing things in the back. In the ring, we have Big Poppa Pump, along with his freak and his big pole, defending that world title against Kevin Nash. Flair is ringside to make up the rules as they go along. The commissionership is on the line because of course it is, as Lance Storm takes on the Cat. The Dog Faced Gremlin Rick Steiner emerged from pay per view purgatory to defend his newly won United States championship against Dustin Rhodes, and DDP pulls double duty taking on Kanyon and then Double J. This is not the worst show of all time, but it's a little too little too late for the struggling promotion as we near the end of our trek through the final year and change of the company.
Breaking news! Mattel has added the Ultimate Edition Scott Steiner action figure to the WCW Monday Nitro Stage crowdfunding project's base offering of the stage and an Ultimate Edition Rey Mysterio figure. Mattel also reshuffled the unlockable tiers. Is Big Poppa Pump enough to get the project funded?

This week on Pop Uncultured, the continuation of last week's shenanigans! JY's theory that interracial relationships leads to comical cultural appropriation gives Mike the idea of woke plantations, and me the idea of sassy plantations full of thicc mamas. Slavery was wrong...but cmon. Who wouldn't want dozens of mouthy broads towing thousands of pounds of ass through their gentleman's estate? I know I would, by jove! And I also know you're lying if you say you don't. Immorality is a small price to pay for literally the best possible life. That brings us back to how I'm a filthy, degenerate criminal, and it turns out Mike is a pure, pristine golden boy who can't even steal a bag of Frito Lays from a passed out junkie cashier. Bless his unsoiled heart. Eventually we move on - to my barely contained excitement - to pro wrestling in the Attitude/Ruthless Aggression Era, which brings us to my man Scotty Steiner aka Freakzilla aka Big Poppa Pump. I don't know if you know this, but in addition to having disgusting mutant biceps, he's a math genius. We watch a clip where he busts out some dirty arithmetic on known fatass Samoa Joe. I'll tell you right now, there's at least a 141 perchance chance that I watch this promo everyday forever. We talk Espanol, we talk JY's Mexican Dram story (not me, a different me he went to Mexico with), we talk buying children, and also Mike's wife found out that he's gay. All that and more on Pop Uncultured!I just did the "all that and more" part because I was feeling lazy and didn't want to write more. It's a problem of work ethic, really. The "more" part is a lengthy discussion of the filth Mike and JY watch (Love Island UK and 90 Day Fiance), which leads us to Jersey Shore. Mike sells me on it with a clip where Snooki starts yapping at some dumb, boozed up dago, and he turns around and socks her one. Long story short, I want to watch Jersey Shore now. Violence against women is wrong...but cmon. The wretched little bimbo basically begged for it.

One would think that having an veritable money-making machine would keep a person or company from being a d-bag, but apparently not! Disney managed to get one of their stars ticked off enough to file a lawsuit and then doubled down on their douchebaggery with some harsh comments. We dive into the debacle that was the Black Widow simultaneous screen and stream debut along with news from the MCU, Star Trek, and more! LINKS OF INTEREST: - Is their a possible Loki cameo in the upcoming Eternals movie? - Behold, the Thanos variants! - Some theories on Thanos' real Infinity War motives - Is Star Trek gearing up to boldly go in a new direction? - Did we mention that Scott Steiner's math is suspect beyond belief? - Oh, and then there was that time that Big Poppa Pump debated Harvard graduate Chris Nowinski on RAW over the Iraq War - Here's a little VFX reel to show how they dropped Tig Notaro into Army of the Dead - Here's the original Wall Street Journal article on the Scarlett-Disney dust-up, and something from CNN for those who don't have a WSJ subscription (like us) - Did you know comic book creators make as little as $5,000 for their creations being used in movies? - How did Warner Bros. and HBO handle pissing off their stars? They paid them. - A quick primer on Hollywood Accounting where money disappears and mysteriously reappears in the studio's pockets! ...AND ANOTHER THING: Tim says that if you don't stay up late and watching Tombstone no matter what you have going on the next day, you're no daisy! Todd watched The Suicide Squad so that you don't have to. But hey, it's currently got a 91% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 72 Metascore in IMDB, so what the hell does he know? Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 37 of our spin-off show about the weird world of softcore skin-flicks! We continue our deep dive into the final seven Sidaris films, with the penultimate film in the series, Day of the Warrior! Andy is back in the driver’s seat for this one - writing and directing - and it’s good to have him back, frankly. He’s working with a whole new generation of stars though: the great Julie Strain is back, but for the first time he’s utilising the talents of Julie K. Smith, and the bizarrely proportioned Shae Marks. And there’s an American Gladiator, and also a WCW wrestler who gets to play the titular Warrior. But he’s not the Warrior the wrestler - the Ultimate Warrior, that is - he’s Marcus ‘Buff’ Bagwell. To try and explain this honestly confusing situation we look at the life and times of Marcus Alexander Bagwell, and discover three primary facts: he’s buff, he’s the stuff, and the ladies can’t get enough. Also, he had a theme song called ‘Buff Daddy’, and he wrestled in a tag team with a guy who called himself Big Poppa Pump. Even stranger than that, he was, in 2014, on the 5th season of the Showtime ‘reality’ series Gigolos. Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 2GO-GO69or(724) 246-4669!
