Mary Frances Bowley is a successful author and the Executive Director of Wellspring Living, an organization fighting childhood sexual abuse and exploitation since 2001. She has been a leader in bringing the fight against child sex-trafficking to Atlanta and is a founding member of the Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force. Bowley was appointed to the Governor’s Commission on Domestic Violence in 2010-2012.
My special guest today is Mary Frances Bowley, author of Make it Zero: The movement to safeguard every child. Mary Frances is the Founder of Wellspring Living, an organization fighting childhood sexual abuse and exploitation since 2001. She has been a leader in bringing the fight against child sex-trafficking to Atlanta and is a founding member of the Georgia Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force. Mary Frances was appointed to the Governor’s Commission on Domestic Violence in 2010. She was awarded the Martin Luther King Community Service Award and the AKA Humanitarian Award. She is also the author of A League of Dangerous Women and The White Umbrella. Make it Zero is co-authored by Jennifer Bradley Franklin, a multi-platform journalist and editor, specializing in travel, food and lifestyles. Her work appears in USA Today, Delta SKY, American Way, People, Food Network and a host of others. She holds an ABJ in Journalism from the University of Georgia's Grady College. One of her greatest joys has been immersing herself in some of the biggest concerns facing America's young people - weighty issues like poverty, hunger and much more - through the research and writing of Make it ZERO. I am very excited to be a part of this book launch and to introduce you to Mary Frances.
