The pod welcomes TNT Sports co-commentator Lucy Ward for the latest edition of Mesut Haaland Dicks, as she chooses her six personal fascinations and irritations of football. Among Lucy's selections are the joy of young players making their senior debut, fence-perching and megaphone-toting Continental ultras, the post-goal cue for a co-commentator to wax lyrical, the "Ayling Flop" and clubs tenuously claiming youth signings as "one of their own". Meanwhile, the Adjudication Panel hear an unexpected pre-penalty shout at Yeovil, ponder a potential technicality in awarding the save of the season, and get mathematical about passes being put on a proverbial "sixpence". Blind Faith Of Atheist Materialism We’re breaking up Bahnsen’s 2nd rebuttal into two sections as we did with Stein, as there are two major sections both have covered. In this first half, Bahnsen makes the case of the use of blind faith of atheist materialism, in which the worldview has no ability to justify the use of logic or of science, as the issues that have been covered in the debate – that of the problem of induction and the non-material nature of logic leads to a denial that they even exist. TIMELINE: 00:00 – Introduction 01:26 – Bahnsen Hasn’t Heard Any Justification For An Atheist To The Laws Of Logic 03:35 – The Issue Of Induction To Science Has Gone Unanswered 05:23 – The Future Is Only Probability For Atheists 07:35 – The Atheist’s Blind Faith In Logic & Science 10:55 – Conclusion BOOK LINKS: The Great Debate – Does God Exist? – Edited and Commentary by Joshua Pillows Debate Transcript Video The Bahnsen Institute All episodes, short clips, & blog – https://www.cavetothecross.com

Allegations of DOJ/FBI Surveillance The Biden DOJ and FBI spied on Trump‑aligned individuals, including: Susie Wiles (Trump campaign figure) Kash Patel Allegations include secret subpoenas for phone records, including calls involving attorneys, raising concerns about attorney‑client privilege. This is part of a broader history of political weaponization of federal agencies. DOJ/FBI surveillance also targeted several Republican senators and conservative groups. Comparisons are made to historical incidents such as the Steele Dossier, the Russia investigation, and alleged misuse of federal agencies. 2. Big Tech is hiding behind the First Amendment to profit while their algorithms drive our children toward depression and suicide. In this episode of The Narrative, Aaron, David, and Mike expose how these giants are fighting to keep parents out of the room while they harvest the attention of minors. Countries like the UK and Australia are already moving to ban these platforms for children under 16. These giants fought the "Social Media Parental Notification Act" in court and won a temporary reprieve from a federal judge. CCV is back at the Statehouse to hold these platforms accountable through HB302. After the news, Associate Professor Wilfred Riley joins the guys to discuss how mid-level bureaucrats are rebranding the poison of DEI as "belonging" or "togetherness" to stay entrenched. Learn how the Deep State functions at the GS-level and why the Left's mechanical drift only stops when we actively dig the ideologues out of the mole holes. They also tackle the rising threat of the "Woke Right" and why identity politics is a trap that abandons objective truth. From the absurdity of "pregnant men" to the weaponization of language, the hosts unpack why we cannot give an inch to word games that defy biological reality. More about Wilfred Reilly Wilfred Reilly is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Kentucky State University, and the author of the books "Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me," "Taboo: 10 Facts You Can't Talk About," and "Hate Crime Hoax." Reilly, alone or in combination with others, has published more than 100 articles across both national media and academic outlets - including Administration and Society, Academic Questions, National Review, Commentary, Newsweek, Spiked UK, and Quillette. His research interests include international relations, contemporary American race relations, and the use of modern quantitative methods to test "sacred cow" theories like the existence of widespread white privilege. Off work, he enjoys dogs, archery, basketball, and Asian cooking. Learn More about the Minnery Fellowship The Minnery Fellowship provides ongoing educational opportunities for pastors and church leaders to dive into the practical issues facing Christians in culture and develop, with a cohort of their peers, biblical strategies and messages to respond. Today, we're celebrating Sarah's birthday by hoping she gets to do what she loves most, sneaking food into the cinema. We also vent about a torturous hike ruined by unprompted motivational speeches from men on the trail. Then, we get into the science of attraction. Think you have a "type"? Sarah explains why you're wrong, who you actually like, and why the person of your dreams is probably already off the market. The Dating Debate: Be honest, do you actually have a "type" or do you think it's all a myth?#LoveIsBlind #DatingMyths #RelationshipAdvice #DatingPsychology #MovieSnacks #HikingAdventures #TrailEtiquetteBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:This episode is sponsored by Betterhelp. Explore the secretive history of CIA psychic experiments, remote viewing programs, and Project SOAR in this riveting episode of The Good Trouble Show. Dive deep into redacted school records, GATE program anomalies, and the CIA's use of hearing tests and pharmaceuticals to identify children with psychic potential. This episode links these covert operations to current events involving UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena), UFO research, and national security disclosures, providing a rare glimpse into the intersection of science, intelligence, and the UFO phenomenon. If you were part of a gifted program in the 1980s, this insightful interview about government psychic programs like Project SOAR might illuminate forgotten memories and raise new questions about the involvement of secretive agencies in educational initiatives.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-good-trouble-show-ufo-uap-politics-interviews--5808897/support.Sponsorship Inquires: sponsors@thegoodtroubleshow.comSubstack: https://substack.com/@thegoodtroubleshowLinktree: https://linktr.ee/thegoodtroubleshowPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/TheGoodTroubleShowYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheGoodTroubleShowTwitter: https://twitter.com/GoodTroubleShowInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thegoodtroubleshow/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@goodtroubleshowFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/The-Good-Trouble-Show-With-Matt-Ford-106009712211646Threads: @TheGoodTroubleShowBlueSky: @TheGoodTroubleShow

1. Major Mexican Cartel Leader Killed CHECK OUT the STORY Mexican forces killed Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (“El Mencho”), leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. His death triggered violent retaliation across multiple Mexican states, including burning vehicles, airport panic, suspended public transportation, and regional shutdowns. The U.S. issued shelter‑in‑place warnings for American travelers in affected areas. Violence may increasingly target American tourists, especially during spring break. Commentary emphasizes Mexico’s struggle with cartel control and the U.S. pushing Mexico to take stronger action. 2. U.S.–Mexico Relations and Trump Administration Pressure CHECK OUT the STORY Mexico’s action was a response to pressure from President Trump, who warned of U.S. strikes on cartel targets. Broader theme: Trump administration aims to deter cartels, reduce drug trafficking, human smuggling, and violent crime. Noted drops in national murder rates (~20%) and drug overdose deaths (~20%), attributed to tougher border and anti‑cartel policies. Commentary mocks media for ignoring or downplaying these improvements. 3. Advice for Americans in Mexico For those currently in Mexico, the guidance is: Check State Department travel advisories. Follow regional safety updates closely. Contact U.S. government resources if in danger. Hosts recommend being extremely cautious about spring break travel during escalating cartel unrest. 4. Supreme Court Strikes Down Trump’s Tariff Approach Supreme Court decision ruled that one specific statute (IEEPA) does not authorize the tariff method Trump used. Majority opinion written by Chief Justice John Roberts; the prediction on the podcast had expected the opposite outcome. However, the ruling does not prevent Trump from imposing tariffs — it simply means he must rely on other statutes. The conversation outlines multiple other laws Trump can still use: Trade Act of 1974 (Sections 122, 301) Smoot-Hawley (Section 338) Trade Expansion Act (Section 232) Trade Act Safeguards (Section 201) Expectation: tariffs will continue, though implemented via different legal pathways. 4. Political Reaction to the Tariff Ruling China and U.S. Democrats were reportedly celebrating the ruling. Democrats oppose tariffs mainly to politically hurt Trump, not on principle. Expect ongoing litigation from companies seeking refunds from past tariffs—potentially costing billions. 6. Upcoming State of the Union Suggestion that Trump should focus the State of the Union on: Lower crime rates Lower drug overdose deaths “America First” accomplishments Acknowledged cartel takedowns but also keeping the focus on domestic well-being. 7. Olympic Highlights — USA Beats Canada in Men’s Hockey "We got GREAT Dentists" WATCH Hughes video HERE Big national pride moment: USA wins gold in men’s hockey against Canada in overtime. Follows U.S. women also beating Canada in the finals. Jack Hughes (NHL player, Team USA) celebrated passionately about playing for the country. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. Psalms 1 & 2 E1 — The Psalms scroll—Israel's ancient hymn book—has deeply shaped the worship and prayers of millions of people over several millennia. The first two psalms work together as a unified introduction to the whole collection. Psalm 1 starts with the phrase “How good is life for the man who…” or in most English translations, “Blessed is the man who…” We then find a list of activities to avoid and an instruction to practice daily Scripture meditation. So how does this way of living lead to “the good life”? And what happens to those who follow it—and to those who don't? In this episode, Jon and Tim start a short series in Psalms 1 and 2 by first meditating on Psalm 1.FULL SHOW NOTESFor chapter-by-chapter summaries, biblical words, referenced Scriptures, and reflection questions, check out the full show notes for this episode.CHAPTERSThe Path of Tragedy (0:00-21:35)Becoming Like a Tree (21:35-40:40)Standing in the Judgment (40:40-1:06:14)OFFICIAL EPISODE TRANSCRIPTView this episode's official transcript.REFERENCED RESOURCESThe Hebrew Bible: A Translation with Commentary by Robert AlterCheck out Tim's extensive collection of recommended books here.SHOW MUSIC“Growing Season” by Gas Lab & Guillaume Muschalle“New Dae” by El Train & G MillsBibleProject theme song by TENTS SHOW CREDITSProduction of today's episode is by Lindsey Ponder, producer, and Cooper Peltz, managing producer.
