Most months have four Fridays, and we know what to do with them. We put out a podcast: a different but related one for each Friday in the month. Sometimes, however, a month has five Fridays, and then we do something different - usually celebrating sound in one way or another. This month on Friday Number Five we continue an irregular series of podcasts of music issued under Creative Commons licences: music to listen to during the summer heatwave. The music ranges from old-school EDM to soundscapes and indie folk, but it all flows together nicely. The musicians include Comfort Fit, Monopole, Nobara Hayakawa, Paper Navy, adcbicycle, Entertainment for the Brain Dead, Halogen, and Brad Sucks.

Craig and Scott are trying to discover free music that's actually GOOD. Each episode they play 8 tracks, rate them, and try to discover new music they've never heard and is also free. Episode 4 is here!  Albeit late!  But I sat through a thunderstorm while recording this, risking losing all my work in the process.  Today's podcast features Paper Navy, and their album All Grown Up.  Here are some notes: The opening track was called Here Comes the Rain by Wilson Noble My poor dog was freaking out for the duration of the podcast; I dedicate it to him I recorded this with my bizarre set up again - using two different Skype accounts between two computers. I apologize for the popping p's.  I am going to try to fix these next episode.
