70 is that odd phase in an innings, the period when you're trying to change gears but can you? In Ep 70, we have Sameer from The Brokenhearted Boys Club of RCB and Chops from the 1940s and debutant Varun Murali as President of his RWA's IPL Debating Society exchanging non-existent notes and reviewing non-newsworthy pieces of news as the IPL juggernaut rolls on in a strangely traffucked sort of manner, especially in the middle of the points table (no, not the one for Fairplay). They also talk about India's injured and dying prospects in the WTC final and Pujara's success at Sussex and round it up with two retirement announcements that made them nostalgic. December is upon us, and with the arrival of Advent we discuss wooden Advent calendars, homemade calendars, and why giving chocolate to children at eight in the morning seems a terrible idea. We also chat German football terminology, direct translations, and our most used German words and phrases. After an email from a listener sparks a discussion on language learning, we compare notes on how we maintain our German, and offer some tips on some of the small things we do to keep improving. The recent announcement of proposed changes to citizenship in Germany leads us to talk about our own experiences of gaining citizenship, the pitfalls, and why taking a different passport isn't simply a matter of paperwork. We finish on a study from the Kraftfahrtbundesamtes (Federal Motor Transport Authority) which has found that more traffic offenses are caused by men than women in Germany.LinksMen commit more traffic offended than womenGerman citizenship faster? Isaiah had a very interesting upbringing, and he spoke to us about what it was like for him to move around the world and how he is able to make his current location feel like home by staying active and living in the moment through his various hobbies. Isaiah spoke what it's like for him to be fully in the moment by channeling his inner flow state, and fully submerging himself in the moment, and letting life's problems fade to the background, if even for a brief moment. Terence is one of those friends that no matter how long you spend apart, the moment you're able to reconnect seems like there has been no time lost. Terence and I spoke about his responsibility in my decision to make the move abroad a permanent one, and how he has adapted to living in Spain going on 5 years. Terence has become fluent in Spanish by immersing himself in the culture, and that decision has paid off tremendously for him, by allowing him to form countless new relationships with the locals of the cities where he lives. While investigating a bizarre wall in rural China, Dr. Penderson stumbles across something far older and vastly more important. More Stories by Larry Hooten http://talltaletv.com/tag/larry-hooten/ ---- Story Submission ---- Got a short story you'd like to submit? Submission guidelines can be found at TallTaleTV.com ---- About Tall Tale TV ---- My name is Chris Herron, and I narrate audiobooks. In 2015, poor control of my diabetes left me legally blind for the better part of a year. The doctors predicted an 80% chance I would never see again, but I changed the way I was living and through sheer willpower beat the odds. During this time I couldn't read or write. Two things that I had been turning to for comfort since I was a small child. With the sheer amount of stress I was under, this was devastating. My wife took me by the arm, lead me into the local library, and read out titles of audiobooks to me. I chose the audiobook versions of books I had loved such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter and more. They brought my favorite stories to life in ways I never thought possible and helped me through the darkest time of my life. Once my vision recovered, I maintained a love for audiobooks. I decided I would turn my focus from being a writer to becoming a narrator. I devised Tall Tale TV as a way to help out all the amazing authors in the writing communities I had come to love before my ordeal. I created Tall Tale TV to help aspiring authors by providing them with a promotional audiobook video. A way to showcase their skills with the written word. They say the strongest form of advertisement is word of mouth, so I provide a video to a platform of readers to help get people talking. Help them spread the word. Would you please help us improve the show by voting for your favourite track from this episode? TweetPinShare US citizen Russian/Japanese descendant Miya Folick surprises the hell out of us by actually being more English than us! Her track Thingamajig prompts debate about how quintessentially English it is. Furthermore, we try to decide between ourselves what her next single should be entitled. Join us to find out more. However, Miya Folick's magic is not all we have today. You'll learn that Tobin is secretly trying to paint a picture of Richard by following up his How To Socialise and Make Friends LP single track a couple of weeks back by introducing Drinker to the show. Ha! Tobin has been rumbled. Secondly, he follows that up with a classic punk track by The Freeze from only this year proving the genre is far from dead. In fact, Tobin introduces more skull cracking punk in a few weeks time so stay tuned. In addition to this already appalling racket, Richard spins up a Record Box Classic from deep within his own personal collection, the heavily E-tuned strings of Kim Thayil's guitar wizardry. Soundgarden pump out from the exquisite translucent yellow vinyl straight into your ears. Revel in it's glory. We then have a cautionary tale of colonialism, sexism, racism and brutality from the past with the musical juggernaut Black Myself. It's a track full of hope and resilience actually and isn't afraid to confront some pretty ugly issues. Oh, no pun intended, brother and sister duo The Oh Hellos bookend the show nicely for us. We have been listening to this here at Record Box HQ for a few weeks already now and cannot wait to share it with our listeners. It's a dreamy, intergalactic, diverse journey of a listen and one which does in fact transport the listener through the cosmos. From the opening track through to the finale it's music to be consumed whilst sat in a cloud of smoke from a thousand joss sticks. Twink has moved right on along with technology but still has that magic spark that allows him to retain his original sound from all those years ago. Twink is the genuine article and a bona fide psychedelic rock god.

It doesn't matter where you go, what you do, or how you enjoy your RV - just as long as you're out there making memories and living the RVing dream. And that's what this episode of the Roadtreking RV Lifestyle podcast is all about - from Jennifer's Tip of the Week about finding fun festivals around North America and equipping your RV with the right gear to a great group of friends we met RVing in Florida (that's them in the above photo), including someone who comes to the U.S. from England every year just to RV. Also in this episode, we help you pick the right inverter for your rig along with more RV tips, an off the beaten path suggestion near Yellowstone National Park, the Thingamajig of the Week, an RV Calendar filling up with RV shows, and more.
