Energy Saving Light and LED Bulbs harm our body!

The Energy Saving Light and LED bulbs, LED display emit too much blue light and that harms our body, life expectancy, and can even make us blind. … The cellular energy or Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) nourish our body cells. Without ATP we can't live longer than 15seconds. Our food gives the cells only 30% of the ATP.With the right light (600 - 1300nm), - the red to infrared light we can boost our energy. The sun, fire or the old Incandescent bulbs with clear glass, have naturally the red and infrared light. At the end are links science proofed with much more information. The blue light from the Energy Saving Light and LED bulbs, LED/LCD display even disturb our cells so that less ATP is coming to our Cells. This means we harm our body with such unnatural light!!!In Germany, blindness is caused by 50% from age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The LED screens, LED lamps and Energy Saving Light Bulbs can cause the AMD. The natural light from the sun has a whole spectrum light from 0 to 5500K.  Fire and the old incandescent bulbs (with clear glass) have a whole spectrum light between 0 and 2700K. And the cool white light from the LED and Energy Saving Bulbs have 6500K.Now here comes a problem we measure colors in Kelvin and in wavelength nm. The temperature scale is totally different than the wavelength Scale… see the pictures! What is infrared light or rays?Infrared is not heat, nor does it (directly) cause heat; it's emitted by the heat of an object at a certain range of temperatures like the incandescent bulb, fire or even our body. Infrared LED's emit Infrared light without heat. Infrared is not visible for human beings. The red light is between 600 and 770nm afterward comes the not visible infrared light between 770 and  2000nm. For our cells is the best light between 600nm and 1300nm. And this light nourishes our cells. The magic best light should be the infrared 850nm. This Infrared light can heal our body and increase our life expectancy. The Infrared light goes through our cloth and can go up to 1 inch inside of our body.  We can buy cheap Infrared LEDs 850nm and a 5Volt power supply from the Internet/eBay/China.  Altogether between $10 to 20$. Is that possible? If we compare the whole spectrum from the different light sources we see that the best light is from the Halogen and Incandescent bulbs with clear glass. We have the options to buy these old Incandescent bulbs or the 6 to 12V Halogen light with a DC power supply that is the best…. Because a DC power supply doesn't flick the light off and on like the AC current. I have chosen warm light LED's (2700K), combine it with additionally Red light LEDs and Infrared LEDs. And with this light, I feel really better. For the display of my Laptop, I run the F.Lux app or we can run the Iris app. With both Apps, we get our red light to the screen.  My Video: Energy Saving Light and LED Bulbs harm our body! https://youtu.be/vreYX-mEk0cMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast.B/Energy-Saving-Light-and-LED-Bulbs-harm-our-body.mp3

EYE ON NPI - Würth Elektronik's RGB WL-ICLED Integrated Controller Within LED

This week's EYE ON NPI looks miiiiiighty familiar with those of us who love our colorful lights, it's Würth Elektronik's RGB WL-ICLED Integrated Controller Within LED (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/w/wurth-electronics/wl-icled-integrated-controller-within-led). WE's take on the 'smart LED' has taken over the electronics industry over the past 15 years. These ubiquitous LEDs can save you time, pins, and cost by simplifying the addition of up to a couple-dozen colorful LEDs, especially when the PCB size is at a premium. Back in my day, if you wanted to add a lot of colorful LEDs to a design, you'd have to use a dedicated LED driver chip. That is, unless your microcontroller had tons of pins, and 10mA drive current - and even then there's a total current-draw limit for the chip package. We still stock some breakouts for these like the TLC5947 (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1429) a 'chainable' SPI board that could drive 8 RGB LEDs and PWM them all for you, often with a set-able constant-current. There's still need for chips like this, but they're often kinda large, and they're not free, so using them was not a light matter. Then came the first - or close to the first - low cost chainable LED driver: the LPD8806 (https://www.adafruit.com/product/306). We wrote a library for this chip in 2011 (https://github.com/adafruit/LPD8806/commits/master/?after=1951478c2c2a8317feab9997cdfddba3728a245a+69), the way this chip worked is it could control two RGB LEDs per, with all PWM handled internally and you only needed 2 pins! This was inexpensive and worked great, but the chips were still a bit large, 14-SOICs. They were superseded by the WS2811 (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1060) which came up with using a Manchester encoding (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester_code) for transport over a single line. These used even less space, and only a single pin, with an SOIC-8 package. However, the real ingenuity is when folks realized they could put the chip INSIDE the LED: and thus was born what we call "NeoPixel" (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/result?s=N4IgTCBcDaIHYFMD2AHAlgDwQGxAXQF8g) a fully chainable smart LED that only uses one pin and no external components. Now all's been right in the world, with dozens of different shapes, configurations and sizes of 'WS2812-compatible' LEDs. But there was one thing missing: a reliable source of smart LEDs. And we should know because we use a lot of these chips: and we try to warn folks that low cost LEDs have differing LED color and brightnesses, are hard to solder and rework, and suffer high failure rates in the field. Worst of all, when one fails all the ones down the line also fail! Until today you just had to cross your fingers and hope that the reel you got was from a 'good batch'. That's why we were excited to see Würth Elektronik's RGB WL-ICLED in DigiKey's NPI list, because WE is known for high quality, reliable products. Unlike most NeoPixel compatibles, this datasheet specifies the LED brightnesses and spectra. It also has RoHS, REACh and Halogen compliance. Finally, you know you'll be getting consistent quality, where each LED solders just as well as last week's or last year's batch. The WL-ICLEDs are available in 4 sizes, including the common 5x5mm and 2x2mm. Würth Elektronik also designed a cool FeatherWing (https://github.com/WurthElektronik/FeatherWings/tree/main/ICLEDFeatherWing) with hundreds of the 2x2mm ICLEDs to demo how to display animations, text, and graphics. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tCo7FSO1Gk) If you want a NeoPixel compatible LED, with trace-ability, high reliability and known functionality check out Würth Elektronik's RGB WL-ICLED (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/w/wurth-electronics/wl-icled-integrated-controller-within-led) available right now at DigiKey! Order today and you'll get your ready-to-assemble rainbows by tomorrow afternoon.

We're going to dive right in to listener questions in this Pinks and Blues episode because today is all about testing for Chlorine. Chlorine is the most well-known of the Halogen elements, a group of Oxidizing Agents. So, if you catch me using these words interchangeably, it's because they are! As a quick chemistry refresher, a Halogen is the chemical that forms a salt when it reacts with a metal. There are 5 Halogens in the Periodic Table: Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine, and Astatine and you can  find the whole column of Halogens the column second furthest to the right. In Cooling Towers, we typically use Chlorine or Bromine. By the way, whatever you use, make sure it is registered for that usage. There are two methods of testing Halogen: OT (Orthotolidine) and DPD (N, N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine), which is the method many of us prefer because it allows us to have a free or total test. Are you curious yet about testing for Halogens? Today, we are going to talk about all things Halogens. From differentiating the types of Halogens, to understanding the different testing methods, and to the importance of having a Water Management Plan to make our jobs easier. Bottom line: Let's learn about testing for Halogen in a Water System. Do you know? Have you ever measured % brine saturation in your brine? How would you measure % saturation? When is the best time to measure it? If it is not reaching 100% saturation, can anything be done to improve it? What is the impact upon softener regeneration with less than 100% brine saturation? Take this week to think about the % brine saturation in your softener system's brine tank.    Quotes: “A Halogen is a chemical that forms a salt when it reacts with a metal, and there are five Halogens in the Periodic Table: Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine, and Astatine.” - Trace Blackmore “Halogens are highly reactive, which means they are quick to form bonds with other elements.”  - Trace Blackmore “Oxidizers are solids, liquids, or gasses that react readily with most Organic Materials or Reducing Agents with very little energy that has to go into them.” - Trace Blackmore “A Reducing Agent is a substance that can be oxidized by losing some of its electrons. An Oxidizing Agent is a substance that can be reduced by gaining electrons.” - Trace Blackmore “We generally use Chlorine or Bromine, and we will commonly hear them referred to as either Oxidizers or Halogens.” - Trace Blackmore “What Halogens are you using, and why are you using those?” - Trace Blackmore “The OT Test (Orthotolidine)  only tests for Total Halogen.” - Trace Blackmore “The DPD Method (N, N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine) can test for both Free and Total Halogen.” - Trace Blackmore “Your Tests are your Tools. Don't run your Test, and have your test tell you what to do next. Your Test only confirms or disproves any theory that you have.” - Trace Blackmore “Diagnose first and then use a test to confirm.” - Trace Blackmore “Free (Halogen) is the amount of Oxidizer in the system that hasn't been combined with anything yet. It is Free to react; therefore Free is the amount of quick kill agent you have in your system to sanitize contaminants” - Trace Blackmore “The Total Oxidizer is the amount of Free Oxidizer that you have plus the amount of Oxidizer that has combined with other Contaminants. So Free + Combined = Total” - Trace Blackmore “Combined Oxidizer is the amount of  Oxidizers that has combined with Organics.” - Trace Blackmore “Make sure that whatever you are using is registered for that intended use.”  - Trace Blackmore   Connect with Scaling UP! 125 Franken).

Most months have four Fridays, and we know what to do with them. We put out a podcast: a different but related one for each Friday in the month. Sometimes, however, a month has five Fridays, and then we do something different - usually celebrating sound in one way or another. This month on Friday Number Five we continue an irregular series of podcasts of music issued under Creative Commons licences: music to listen to during the summer heatwave. The music ranges from old-school EDM to soundscapes and indie folk, but it all flows together nicely. The musicians include Comfort Fit, Monopole, Nobara Hayakawa, Paper Navy, adcbicycle, Entertainment for the Brain Dead, Halogen, and Brad Sucks.

#165 - Your Brand is Not Just What You Wear, It's Also Your Attitude

The Business Side of Music

Play Episode Listen Later May 25, 2021 56:26

You're not a bit of everyone as an artist, or at least you shouldn't be. You are your own identity. Do you have a strategy in place to move your career forward? Are you performing music that fits your lifestyle and belief system, or are you only making the moves to please others or attempting to do so to get ahead? In the end, it's all about brand loyalty, with you yourself being the brand. So is your branding vertical, or is it horizontal? Do you know the difference, and does it matter? On this extraordinary episode of Dead Horse Discussions with Rick Caballo and Melissa Core Caballo from Dead Horse Branding, we interview Michael Blanton to discuss exactly these matters.  Michael Blanton of Brentwood, Tennessee, has celebrated a career in the national and Nashville music industry. But today finds him in all kinds of artistic and entertainment development, not limited to just artist management. A native of Amarillo, Texas, Blanton got his start in music as an A&R representative at Word Records in Waco, Texas, moving to Nashville in 1978 to open the company's office on Music Row. He and business partner Dan Harrell launched Blanton/Harrell Production and Management in 1980 with Amy Grant as their first client. In 1981 with friend Brown Bannister ('75), they created Reunion Records and Reunion Publishing and soon launched artists' careers, including Michael W. Smith and Rich Mullins, and Wayne Kirkpatrick. Blanton served as executive producer for some of Grant's biggest hits, including the albums Unguarded (1985), Lead Me On (1988), and the multi-platinum Heart in Motion (1992), which sold more than ten million copies and received five Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. He also executive produced hits for Smith, including his debut, Michael W. Smith Project (1983) featuring the song “Friends,” The Big Picture (1986), i 2 (EYE) (1988), and Change Your World (1992). In addition, Blanton and Harrell worked with authors including Frank Peretti, helping him release his multi-million-selling This Present Darkness in 1986 and Piercing the Darkness in 1989. Beginning in 1997, Blanton and Harrell served as co-presidents of Gaylord's Idea Entertainment. Still, in 2009 the golden franchise ended between Blanton and Harrell and thus started the new chapter for Blanton in artist development and branding. Currently, Blanton has partnered in the development with Songwriting University to help support the songwriters of Nashville and help develop new artistic talent. Also, Blanton is a partner with Vertigo Media and a new management launch called Halogen-BNA. Vertigo and Halogen will work together to build and develop new artists and songwriters thru technology and community. But not to be left out of the development lane, Blanton today is also working with new film projects, with Terry Benedict(producer of Hacksaw Ridge) and TV productions for a Texas non-profit, Heartlight and Parenting Today's Teens. He has also joined with long-time friend Gary Glover to continue to consult on many projects in development thru a partnership called Cyprus Creative Partners, a company to helps advance all types of branding and development. Whether for one singer or an entire company, vision-casting and strategically planning are what we are built for. Blanton is a member of the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences, the Gospel Music Association, the Country Music Association, and the Americana Music Association. He serves on the board of Lipscomb's College of Entertainment and Arts. In addition, the team of Blanton & Harrell was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2017. And then, in 2019, Blanton was named Outstanding Alumnus of the year for Abilene Christian University, his alma mater.   The Business Side of Music ™ © 2021 Beyond the Music Co-Produced and Hosted (by the guy who has a face for podcasting): Bob Bender  Co-Producer, Creator, and Technical Advisor (the man behind the curtain): Tom Sabella Director of Video and Continuity (the brains of the entire operation): Deborah Halle Editor (the “ums' and “aahs' removal guy who makes us sound good): Mark Sabella Marketing and Social Media: Kaitlin Fritts Talent Acquisition and Scheduling (the one who keeps us on track) Tammy Kowalski All Around Problem Solver and keeper of the key to the vault: Connie Ribas Recorded at: The Bunker in Franklin, TN (except during the Covid 19 pandemic, then it's pretty much done VIA Skype or over the phone, with the exception for those fearless enough to come to Bob Bender's living room… and there are a few).
