It’s a WILD Season 3 mid-season finale! Along with guest Jeff, we talk the entire first half of the season so far, have all the feelings about meeting Gladys and Jellybean for the first time, and cheer on all the bitches getting shit DONE—from Cheryl and Veronica teaming up to take on the parents, to Betty and Ethel finally setting their differences aside to take down Sister Woodhouse and liberate their fellow oppressed/brainwashed gals in red cardigans! Also, uh: is Penny Peabody dead? As the episode ends, we talk our hopes, dreams, and theories for Season 3B: wondering what’s gonna happen with this quarantine/Hiram being in control of the town; sharing hopes for more screen time for Josie and Choni; speculating about whether Reggie/Veronica (Veggie) and Archie/Josie (Archosie? Jochie? Do y'all know?) will soon be happening; and Maria making MANY demands regarding a hot/sexy/romantic Bughead reunion! I am in grad school now and my program is just overwhelming me. I'm also just a person so sometimes life gets to me too. I want to be able to be the best podcast co-host to my dear friend Maria, and to those who listen! Right now, I just have to take some time for myself and focus on school. I will be back! Because I need to know who that damn Twiggy-Smalls is and I have too many bodysuits now for my own good! Thanks to Maria! Thanks to RAS! Thanks to Bughead! XOXO Rebecca.”

We don't even need to qualify this one as a "good Riverdale episode." It's just a great episode of television, period. But even as some questions get answered there's still one lingering for us: will Joaquin and Kevin Keller hook up again? A cursory watch of this episode will make one feel as though the writers had done a pretty good job of setting us up for the 13 episodes coming in January. Upon further examination, however, this actually looks to be a real clunker. Why haven't we learned more about Penny Peabody and FP Jones, and what "debt" she is holding over the Jones family? Why did you decide to tell Veronica the family's secret business plans without ever trying to reveal them to us? And why, oh why, do you keep trying to shoehorn social commentary into my dumb teen TV show? These are all questions we ought to ask ourselves. On the other hand, creepy murderess Nana Rose is kind of incredible in her absolute cruelty. And Dark Jughead taking over Serpent business is genuinely frightening.Still, c'mon Riverdale. Listen in as Brad and Cort break down Ep 2x07 'Tales from the Darkside'. The Black Hood challenges the residents of Riverdale to remain sinless for 48 hours; Penny Peabody calls in a favor Jughead owes her, putting strain on his relationship with Archie; Betty and Veronica investigate a suspect.
It's a trio of tales in Riverdale Chapter 20 "Tales from the Darkside" and it's Noah and Kyle's job to talk about em! Josie and Cheryl deal with Josie's stalker, is it Chuck Clayton? The mysterious janitor, Mr. Svensson? Or is it somebody else? Meanwhile, Betty and Veronica investigate Sheriff Keller, who's shady behavior have him on the short list of Black Hood suspects. Veronica (and Kyle) get extremely thirsty. Finally, Jughead and Archie have to transport some illicit goods from Riverdale to the eerie town of Greendale for Penny Peabody, the Snake Charmer, in order to help get FP out of prison, or so they think. All that, plus current season thoughts, and news of Sabrina and her show!
Tim & Bob finally get out of Jingle-Jangle rehab and break down Seaon 2, episode 2 of RIVERDALE on the CW. After learning of Ms. Grundy's murder, an increasingly anxious Archie suspects that her death is connected with Fred's shooting, which pushes him to get a gun from Dilton Doiley. Following the shooting, business at Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe has declined, leading Pop to consider selling the diner, but Betty convinces Pop to let her throw a retro fun night to drum up business. Jughead learns that F.P. is facing 20 years in prison and seeks help from Penny Peabody, a Serpent lawyer, who advises Jughead to ask the Blossoms to testify on F.P.'s behalf. Cheryl initially refuses, but relents when Betty extorts her with the video of Jason's murder. With Cheryl's testimony, the judge decides to revisit F.P's sentence. Hiram quietly buys the diner from Pop, but tells Veronica he made a "charitable donation". In the woods, Moose Mason and Midge Klump take some jingle jangle (a new drug to Riverdale), and as they do so, they are shot by Fred's shooter.
Murder! Milkshakes! Moose and Midge! As Riverdale sets the table for the mysteries of its second season, Dial M ForMaple attempts to track all the moving pieces, from snooping Alice Cooper to the unjustly-canned Smithers to snakecharmer Penny Peabody.
