On this episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete and Sids record from New York following England's heartbreaking World Cup semi-final defeat to Argentina, reflecting on an emotional night that saw Thomas Tuchel's side come agonisingly close to reaching a World Cup final. The lads discuss the incredible atmosphere surrounding the tournament, the unique experience of covering football across America, and why this World Cup has delivered some of the most memorable stadiums and fan experiences they've ever witnessed. The boys break down exactly where England's semi-final slipped away, debating whether sitting too deep ultimately cost them, the tactical decisions made in the closing stages, and whether the substitutions should have been more attacking. They discuss Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham's performances, Declan Rice's importance to the side, the emergence of Jed Spence and Dan Burn, and whether this England squad should ultimately be remembered as a success despite the painful exit.Former England defender Gary Neville then joins the pod for an honest and emotional reaction to England's defeat. Gary explains what it feels like to be knocked out of a major tournament, why players carry those moments for the rest of their lives, and analyses Thomas Tuchel's biggest decisions. He also discusses England's defensive approach, whether the criticism of Tuchel is justified, the positives to take from the tournament, and why this World Cup has been one of the best football spectacles in recent memory. There's also another ridiculous challenge as the boys swap footballs for darts with Morgan Rogers. Meanwhile Chris Stark dials in a special interview with the Blossoms as they discuss their new music and thoughts on the world cup so far.Wrapping up with the latest Paddy Power Predictions League ahead of the World Cup Final, Tom's predictions from afar, and plenty of classic TPCP chaos—including power cuts, questionable New York backdrops and the usual nonsense. As always, leave your predictions in the comments below and let us know who you think will lift the World Cup.00:00 - New York catch-up & World Cup reflections03:07 - The best stadiums of the tournament05:04 - England's semi-final heartbreak07:39 - Gary Neville joins the pod09:24 - Where England lost the game13:53 - Tuchel's substitutions analysed20:00 - The positives from England's tournament22:51 - Life after football & Gary Neville37:12 - Darts challenge with Morgan Rogers41:09 - Chris Stark & Blossoms!01:06:52 - World Cup Final Paddy Power predictions01:10:13 - Final thoughts from New York01:11:13 - EndFor more Peter Crouch:Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouchTherapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouchFor more Tom Fordyce:Twitter - https://twitter.com/tomfordyceFor more Steve Sidwell:Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell14Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14#PeterCrouch #ThatPeterCrouchPodcast Hosted on Acast. Clear your schedule and prepare your ears, for The Chris Moyles Show Guestival! With Dominic Byrne enjoying week two of his holiday, the legendary Dom hot seat remained open for a parade of top-tier guests, unexpected moments, and the usual breakfast nonsense. We kicked things off on Monday with the ever-brilliant Blossoms, who brought all the charm, tunes and coolness you'd expect and probably made the rest of us look wildly underdressed in the process. Then on Wednesday, comedian and SNL UK star George Fouracres joined the gang, delivering big laughs, sharp stories, and the kind of energy that made it feel like the show had accidentally booked someone far more professional than us.And then came Thursday… and, well… BOGIES!Yes, the bonkers Dick and Dom stormed into the studio and turned the whole place into absolute mayhem. It was loud, chaotic, nostalgic, and very nearly a health and safety incident. As if that wasn't enough, we also had The Dombola, because obviously no Chris Moyles Show week would be complete without a glorious wheel-based feature.Oh, and who knew this lot could bake? In a very unexpected turn of events, the team got their aprons on and served up homemade cheesecake for Nick Ferrari, who joined us to cast his expert eye (and tastebuds) over the results in our very own breakfast show Bake Off.So, if you like your radio with a side of anarchy, cheesecake, and guests galore, this is the podcast for you.

Carmen Snyder from the Gravenstein Apple Fair 2026 joins Herlinda Heras and Daedalus Howell on Brew Ha Ha. She has brought lots of goodies including an organic Gravenstein apple pie from Cameron at the Gentle Hearth. He is a local who uses his grandmother’s apple pie recipe. He will be at the 53rd annual Gravenstein Apple Fair this August 8th and 9th, selling pie by the slice. He also makes mustard and barbeque sauce. Get tickets at Eventbrite dot com at this page. (Speaking of barbeque, part two of today’s show features Stumptown Brewery and their Russian River Beer and Rib Revival.) The Gentle Hearth promotes Gravenstein apples by supporting local growers and maintaining pride in Sonoma County’s orchard heritage. The Gravenstein Apple Fair is the annual fund raiser for Farm Trails which promotes Sonoma County farmers, ranchers and producers. Get tickets at this page on Eventbrite dot com. The Gravenstein Apple Fair had 16,000 people in attendance last year and they only generated two cubic yards of landfill trash. This year they will have another strong roster of chefs and bakers. There will be a craft cider tent at the Fair as well as sausages and cheese from Valley Ford Cheese. ****Visit Russian River Brewing Co. in Santa Rosa on 4th St. and at their big Windsor location. Check out their website and socials for up-to-date hours, menus, beers and more.**** Gravenstein Apple Fair Attractions Farm Trails organizes many promotions for local farmers. They hold an Apple Blossom Festival in March, then “Blossoms, Bees and Barn Babies” are seasonal tours where people can get out and meet farmers and producers on their own turf. “We want to be megaphones and cheerleaders to elevate our farmers and to promote them so that they can have greater economic viability.” Clark Wolf will also be chairing a panel about women farmers. There is a pie contest too, and perhaps Herlinda will be a judge. They have adult and youth competitions. “It’s an old-fashioned fair with a modern ethos.” The Fair is full of attractions. They have lots of arts and crafts and the music lineup is excellent. The event is August 8-9. Locals can take advantage of a deeply discounted ticket. If you buy your ticket from a local partner, the price is only $20. The piglet races are hilarious. They put four piglets into four lanes with differently colored vests. They are released onto the track and run to the food at the finish line, but sometimes they take the long way around. The audience gets split up into groups to cheer for one racer. It ends with photo ops for the winning piglet. And if that’s not enough, there are also very cute sheep and lambs. Get tickets at Eventbrite dot com at this page.

A good garden festival should leave you inspired, better informed, and itching to get back into your own patch and Buds and Blossoms in County Laois aims to do exactly that. We're right in the heart of garden festival season, so we record this bonus guide to help you decide if the Laois Garden Festival is worth the trip and how to plan it properly, especially if you want to turn it into a full weekend away. The main festival day lands on Sunday 7 June at Spink Community Grounds (12 to 6), and the speaker line-up is built for mixed interests. We talk through what you can expect from Edward Hayden bringing the cooking and food angle, Kieran Fitzgerald sharing insights from restoring Johnstown Castle with a strong ecological gardening ethos, and Darragh McCullough on the modern reality of a diverse Irish farm that blends farming, cut flowers, bulbs, and more. If you like gardening talks with real substance plus a bit of variety, this programme delivers.Saturday 6 June adds another layer with Laois Garden Trail events, from open gardens and a pollinator-focused beekeeping session to yoga and meditation in woodland pathways and a hands-on willow workshop. We also run through a long list of vendors and specialist nurseries so you can target the plant stalls that match your garden, whether you're after shade plants, trees, David Austin roses, scented pelargoniums, wildflowers, or something truly unusual. Add food stalls, a kids' area, and nearby gardens like Emo Court and Heywood Gardens, and you have a ready-made Laois gardening weekend.Subscribe for more practical gardening chats, share this with a friend who loves a plant fair, and leave a review if the show helps you plan your next garden day out.Festival website: https://laoisgardenfestival.comSupport the showIf there is any topic you would like covered in future episodes, please let me know.
