In this episode we answer emails from Zach, Brian, Holly and Optimus Bill. We discuss a way to estimate retirement health care costs using current data, clear up the “index fund” labelling problem and talk about why indexed dogs and cats won't start living together, have fun with milkshakes, and map out what tends to help a portfolio survive stagflation. This episode starts like a normal celebration… and immediately spirals into the kind of chaos only The Rizzuto Show can deliver. We kick things off with birthday week overload — because apparently one day isn't enough anymore. There are surprise gifts (some thoughtful, some aggressively confusing), fancy dinners that make you feel like an adult for five minutes, and the slow realization that once you hit your 40s, your ideal birthday gift might just be canceling plans and staying home. Then comes the real emotional rollercoaster: dog birthdays. Not just any dog birthday — we're talking about a 20-year-old puggle potentially breaking world records. The stakes? Unnecessarily high. The pressure? Completely self-imposed. The vibe? Equal parts wholesome and slightly stressful. From there, things get weird. Like… really weird. We dive into the latest food trends, including the absolute madness of putting yogurt in coffee (who hurt you?), and break down some of the most unhinged baseball stadium foods ever created. Pizza donuts. Brisket desserts. Milkshakes that double as a cry for help. America is doing too much, and we're here to judge it.Somehow, that leads us into airport panic logic, where everyone is showing up five hours early like it's the apocalypse, and then straight into gas price conspiracies that make you question everything you thought you knew about fueling your car. Are we being scammed? Probably. Do we understand how gasoline actually works? Absolutely not.And because this is a funny podcast, we wrap it all up with moon talk, random science facts, and a surprisingly real conversation about training your brain to not spiral into negativity — which is ironic, considering everything else we talked about. It's messy, it's ridiculous, and it's exactly what you expect from a daily comedy show that thrives on chaos.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Evan talks about how McDonald's discovered that most of their milkshakes were sold before 10 a.m., which sparked a heavily sold product that keeps many businesses running: the frozen coffee beverage. Listen along as Paul and Evan discuss how flexible and dynamic businesses can be and why trying to pick the winners out of the crowd has proved to be a bad tactic for investors. Later in the episode, Paul and Evan talk about private equity and why the industry seems to only focus on the upside: because it makes the industry a lot of money. Evan encourages investors to exchange the word “private” with “unregulated” and consider whether you want to put your money in unregulated equities. What happens when life gets stressful — and you're still the one who needs to lead?In this solo episode, Anna shares a very real story from a winter blizzard in New York City that involved a burst pipe, displaced tenants, exhausted nervous systems… and, unexpectedly, a chocolate milkshake.Using the metaphor of “tightening lids” versus “chocolate milkshake energy,” Anna explores how stress shows up in the body, how it changes the way we lead and relate, and why learning to soften inside stress can completely shift how we show up — at home, in our work, and in visibility. This episode is an invitation to notice when you're white-knuckling your way through responsibility, and to experiment with small, nervous-system-supportive shifts that bring back lightness, connection, and presence — even when life is demanding. In this episode, we explore:Why stress is inevitable — and burnout doesn't have to beHow “tightening lids” shows up in the nervous systemThe role of play, pleasure, and lightness in leadershipWhat it means to lead while stressed, rather than waiting to feel calmA simple reflection exercise to identify your own version of “chocolate milkshake energy”Reflection Invitation:Think about a recent moment when you were “tightening lids.” How did that energy show up in your body? Then recall a moment of lightness or play. What helps you shift between the two?Anna would love to hear what this episode brought up for you. You can email her at Anna@AnnaHoltzman.com.If you're navigating leadership, visibility, or responsibility while feeling stretched inside, this episode offers a compassionate reframe — and a reminder that you don't have to clench your way through life.
Just some friendly banter up front with J Gulinello ( https://www.healthreclamationproject.com/ ) about what's been going on in the news, including the fears that the San Francisco 49ers stadium is a hotbed for health-compromising EMF radiation. It seems like a simple question, but aging can be complicated, especially when a loved one shows signs of dementia and/or physical decline. Can you provide the right support for your family member or friend, ensure their safety, and avoid costly or even dangerous missteps in their care? Can you manage the expectations and stress on you and others who likely do not have the time or expertise to provide suitable help? Friend of the firm, Susan Wood, sits down with Jeffrey Bellomo to share her experience with the Life Care Planning Team at Bellomo & Associates. Together, they created and implemented a life care plan for Susan's neighbor and friend, whose dementia had progressed to the point that she could no longer safely remain in her home. We learn how the people at Bellomo & Associates work in concert to find safe care options, preserve dignity, review facility contracts and financial agreements, advocate for proper medical care, and address the emotional strain that can come from moving out of your familiar, and often longtime, home. Special shoutout to two members of our Life Care Planning Team, Meg Motter, LCSW, CDP, and Danielle Rhodes, MSW, LSW, CDP, who figure prominently in Susan's story. We welcome Elizabeth and Brook Mosser from the Intentional Parents Podcast for a "copod" that—despite the catchy name—is definitely not a killer whale documentary. They tackle the "Godzilla of intentionality", a terrifying concept that often looms over parents like a massive monster with surprisingly tiny arms. Moving beyond "prescribed trails" and scripture-based scavenger hunts, the group focuses instead on ordinary moments, like sharing milkshakes in the dark or surviving "homeschool sarcasm." You'll learn about TikTok's "aura farming" and why the best parenting strategy involves leaving your "fixing" agenda in the car to focus on simple curiosity. In 2 Corinthians 3:6-11, Paul says, “The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” The “letter” refers to God's law—His perfect standard—which shows us His glory but also our inability to keep it. It's like trying to look at the sun with broken sunglasses: you can't do it. The law can't save us; it only exposes our need. But through Jesus, we receive the Spirit, who gives us His righteousness—His “good enough”—so we can see and enjoy God's glory now and forever. The temptation is to live as if we can be good enough on our own or hold others to our personal standard. Both lead to death. The invitation is to turn from self-reliance and trust Jesus daily, allowing His Spirit to restore our relationships with God, ourselves, and others.

Strange things have been happening to science in the US. An executive order is freezing research, a website with once scientific information now looks kinda like it's advertising a reality show … even milkshakes have been caught in the fray. Milkshakes! On top of this, research projects studying everything from vaccine hesitancy to Covid-19 to climate change have been cut. The Trump administration says that a big reason for the cuts is to stop government waste and boost the economy. Today on the show: What is going on with science in the US right now, and will these cuts ultimately help the economy? To find out, we talk to Nature reporter Max Koslov, virologist Dr. Seema Lakdawala and economist Professor Andrew Fieldhouse.
