What happens after you die? It's a question that has fascinated humanity for thousands of years. Today's guest has an answer that might surprise you.  Dannion Brinkley has been clinically dead multiple times, and what he learned from those experiences led him to one extraordinary conclusion: nobody ever dies. Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Minggu, 7 Juni 2026Bacaan: Beritakanlah firman, siap sedialah baik atau tidak baik waktunya, nyatakanlah apa yang salah, tegorlah dan nasehatilah dengan segala kesabaran dan pengajaran." (2 Timotius 4:2)Renungan: Ada seorang tentara yang bercerita bahwa selama karir militernya, sudah berkali-kali ia ditugaskan ke daerah konflik. Setiap kali akan berangkat, kesedihan mendalam dirasakannya karena harus berpisah dengan keluarga. Hal yang membuatnya sedih bukanlah perpisahan itu sendiri, melainkan kenyataan kalau ia bisa saja kelak pulang tinggal nama karena gugur dalam tugas. Namun, ia amat memahami tugas dan kewajibannya sebagai tentara sehingga ia tetap berangkat menunaikan tugas. Seperti tentara yang selalu siap sedia melakukan tugas yang diamanatkan padanya, demikian juga kita sebagai orang percaya harus selalu siap sedia melakukan tugas yang diamanatkan oleh Tuhan. Salah satu tugas tersebut adalah memberitakan firman. Sayangnya, banyak orang percaya yang masih beranggapan bahwa tugas tersebut merupakan tugas pastor, biarawan, biarawati, guru agama, dan para aktivis gereja. Pemikiran ini tentu saja keliru! Sebab, sesungguhnya Tuhan mempercayakan tugas memberitakan firman kepada semua orang yang telah menerima keselamatan kekal dari-Nya. Artinya, apapun profesi yang kita geluti, memberitakan firman dalam kehidupan sehari-hari adalah keharusan. Sekalipun kita adalah seorang ibu rumah tanggap sepenuh waktu, kita juga harus melakukannya. Memberitakan firman tidak identik dengan pengkhotbah mimbar, akan tetapi hal yang Tuhan inginkan adalah kita menceritakan tentang Tuhan Yesus kepada orang-orang di sekitar kita, melalui tutur kata; sikap dan perbuatan; pola pikir; etos kerja; dan seluruh hidup kita. Singkat kata, memberitakan firman adalah menunjukkan kehidupan yang mencerminkan kasih dan karakter Kristus. Dengan demikian, tidak ada lagi alasan bagi kita untuk tidak melakukan panggilan Tuhan, yaitu memberitakan firman-Nya sampai keujung bumi. Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa:Tuhan Yesus, urapilah seluruh keberadaan diriku, agar melalui pikiran, perkataan, perasaan dan perbuatanku aku dapat mewartakan kasih-Mu, sehingga banyak orang semakin mengenal Engkau sebagai Sang Sumber Kasih dan keselamatan. Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Sabtu, 6 Juni 2026Bacaan: "Latihan badani terbatas gunanya, tetapi ibadah itu berguna dalam segala hal, karena mengandung janji, baik untuk hidup ini maupun untuk hidup yang akan datang." (1 Timotius 4:8)Renungan: Selama ini orang berpendapat bahwa pergi beribadah ke gereja hanya merupakan wujud rutinitas keagamaan. Bila kita termasuk orang yang berpendapat seperti itu, maka berubahlah. Sebab ada penelitian yang menyatakan bahwa pergi beribadah ke gereja berdampak positif pada kesehatan. Salah satunya mampu menurunkan tekanan darah. Hal ini tentu saja berkaitan erat dengan ketenangan yang diperoleh seseorang saat ada di gereja dan melakukan penyerahan diri kepada Tuhan. Rasul Paulus memang hidup berabad-abad silam, tetapi ternyata ia juga sependapat bahwa ibadah amat bermanfaat bagi yang melakukannya. Itu yang dimaksudkannya dalam kalimat "ibadah itu berguna dalam segala hal." Seharusnya memang ibadah tidak boleh dipandang sebagai kewajiban yang harus dilakukan setiap orang demi membuktikan dirinya memiliki agama, melainkan salah satu kebutuhan utama yang harus dilakukan demi mendapatkan kualitas hidup yang lebih baik secara jasmani maupun rohani. Akan tetapi kesadaran bahwa beribadah merupakan kebutuhan utama juga harus diikuti oleh sikap yang benar ketika melakukannya. Firman Tuhan mengajarkan bahwa ibadah tidak semata-mata hadir di tempat ibadah, melainkan juga kesediaan kita untuk merendahkan diri kepada-Nya, mengaku dosa, mengampuni sesama, menyerahkan semua persoalan pada kehendak Tuhan, serta percaya bahwa campur tangan kuasa Tuhan akan membuat segala perkara berakhir dengan baik. Jika kita melakukannya, tentu tidak ada lagi alasan bagi kita untuk merasa khawatir. Saat itu terjadi, kita akan lebih damai sejahtera dan bersukacita. Pada gilirannya, sukacita dan damai sejahtera itulah yang akan membuat tubuh kita sehat. "Hati yang gembira adalah obat yang manjur, tetapi semangat yang patah mengeringkan tulang" (Ams. 17:22). Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa:Tuhan Yesus, bukalah hatiku agar aku senantiasa mau datang ke rumah-Mu untuk ibadah tanpa paksaan tetapi karena aku membutuhkan Engkau. Amin. (Dod).
