One final piece of content from the 2018 Hamvention.  Every year, the QRP Amateur Radio Club International hosts a QRP conference called Four Days in May that proceeds Hamvention.  The event is home to a large collection of amateurs passionate about low power operation and building their own radios. Out of the ashes of ten years of ethnic repression and the Kosovo War in 1998, the amateur radio service in Kosovo was reborn in 2012.  Vjollca Belegu, Z61VB, Kosovo’s (Kosova) first YL ham radio operator, survived this dark period in Kosova’s history, and 25 years after ham radio was closed in Kosova  is helping to re-birth the amateur radio service as the President of the Kosova Amateur Radio Association, in the new Republic of Kosova. Vjollca, Z61VB, tells this important story in this episode of  QSO Today.

Hacking Team said they never had dealings with Sudan. - After the UN Got involved the Italian government froze any exports that the team could make. - Someone hacked them and their Twitter and release a 400GB data dump, which Wikileaks even retweeted. Dealings with Sudan confirmed, and there was even an invoice to Lebanon. How did "Hacking Team" get hacked? Well their password was P4ssword, and they also used wolverine and universo. - Standard response - don't download that leak it has a virus and it's also all not true (paraphrasing Christian Pozzi, team member). His Twitter was immediately hacked. - As of 2016 they were still allowed to sell spyware...just not outside of the EU.
