Was this the greatest week in crypto history? On this episode of The Crypto Rundown, host Mark Longo is joined by Pat Wood, President and CEO of DelphX Capital Markets, to break down an explosive week across the cryptocurrency markets. Bitcoin comes roaring back with a massive rally and surging ETF inflows, while activity and volatility heat up in IBIT and MSTR. We examine what the move means for Bitcoin traders, whether this rally has staying power, and why Pat believes the next generation of digital asset treasuries needs to think beyond simply buying and holding. Then we venture into the Altcoin Universe, where the rally is spreading fast. Ethereum finally wakes up, Solana shows signs of life, XRP surges, and HYPE/Hyperliquid continues to generate serious buzz. We also examine the wild options activity in ETHA, BMNR, Circle (CRCL), and PUR, including the rush for upside exposure as crypto traders embrace the rally. Plus, we discuss: Bitcoin's monster weekly rally and whether it can continue The resurgence in IBIT options volume and volatility MSTR, Michael Saylor and the future of digital asset treasury strategies Using covered calls and collars in crypto Ethereum's dramatic comeback The latest action in Solana, XRP, Dogecoin and other altcoins The growing excitement surrounding Hyperliquid and HYPE Why crypto market structure may be entering a new phase
Bitcoin is pushing against the $80,000 barrier after one of its strongest weeks in months, driven by improving Treasury-market liquidity, nearly $2 billion in Bitcoin ETF inflows, short liquidations, and a fresh wave of FOMO. Matt explains why $80K could be difficult to break and hold as investors who bought at higher prices finally get a chance to exit, while $90K and $100K could create even larger psychological barriers. The episode also covers the CLARITY Act as a potential September catalyst, Strategy raising roughly $2 billion without buying more Bitcoin, Circle and the continued explosion of stablecoin activity, and huge weekly gains across XRP, Ethereum, Solana, Hyperliquid, and Dogecoin. With the Fear & Greed Index already at 81, Matt remains cautious and says Bitcoin needs to break $80K and hold it before the conversation moves seriously toward $90K and beyond. Happy HODLing. Crypto News: Bitcoin pumps to $70K and Altcoins such as Ethereum, XRP, and Solana are on the move. Trump pushes Congress to move on Clarity Act during White House crypto event.
Bitcoin finally broke out, surging above $70,000 as several catalysts hit at once. Matt looks at Trump's White House meeting with crypto executives, Treasury moves supporting broader liquidity, and a massive short squeeze that wiped out roughly $2.7 billion in bearish positions. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs also brought in about $517 million, while Ethereum, XRP, Solana, Hyperliquid, and other major assets rallied even harder than Bitcoin. The episode also covers crypto stocks ripping alongside the market, continued expansion of XRP and tokenized-asset infrastructure, the CLARITY Act returning to the political conversation, and X reportedly exploring stablecoin payments. Matt remains cautiously bearish despite the rally, arguing that improving global liquidity and Treasury-market conditions are more important to watch than the White House meeting itself. Bitcoin is still hovering around $64,000, but traditional finance keeps moving deeper into crypto. Matt covers Citi preparing to launch institutional Bitcoin custody, Kraken expanding U.S. stock trading across Europe, Visa searching for new stablecoin settlement partners, and Treasury beginning the rulemaking process for the GENIUS Act. The episode also looks at XRP falling below $1, renewed investment in Zcash mining and privacy, regulators reconsidering outdated market rules as tokenized securities grow, and serious trouble at BitMart as users reportedly struggle to withdraw funds and some employees remain unpaid. Meanwhile, Bitcoin managed to outperform the S&P 500 on Monday, even as the broader crypto market remains mostly stuck. Happy HODLing. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
On this episode of The Crypto Rundown, host Mark Longo welcomes back Brandon Mulvihill, Co-Founder and CEO of Crossover Markets, for a wide-ranging conversation about the evolving crypto marketplace. They explore the growth of institutional crypto trading, why Brandon believes crypto has more of a supply-chain problem than a demand problem, and how custody, credit, execution and regulation could shape the next phase of institutional adoption. Brandon also discusses the growth of Crossover Markets and CROSSx, the launch of CROSSx Disclosed, and what increasing involvement from traditional financial institutions could mean for digital assets. Then the conversation turns to two of the hottest areas in the market: crypto perpetuals and prediction markets. Are perps really a revolutionary new product—or are they essentially the latest evolution of CFDs? And will prediction markets maintain their momentum as regulation and traditional sports betting continue to evolve? Plus, we break down the latest action in Bitcoin, IBIT, Strategy (MSTR), Ethereum, ETHA, BMNR, Circle, HYPE, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin and more.
Craig says crypto liquidity has dried up dramatically, with Bitcoin stuck inside a month-long range between roughly $62,500 and $65,500 and only a small fraction of tracked trading pairs showing meaningful volume. He remains cautious and wants to see Bitcoin break lower before becoming more aggressive, with $59,000 as the next major area to watch if the current range fails. The episode also covers Craig's current XRP short, potential long setups in Hyperliquid and possibly BNB, and why thin order books make slippage and execution risk much more important right now. His main message is patience: there are still profitable trades, but traders should focus only on strong trends with real liquidity rather than forcing activity in a messy market. Mooi geworden! Bouwfout in Coldcardfirmware leidt tot 116 miljoen dollar schade Strategy verkoopt 1.690 bitcoin voor terugkoop eigen aandelen Bitcoinminers verkopen recordaantal munten en investeren in AI Bitcoin Red Team vindt duizenden kwetsbaarheden in 390 projecten Kritieke kwetsbaarheid in BTCPayServer leidt tot diefstal fondsen Cryptocast 442B | Hoe geniaal is de Amerikaanse GENIUS act? Bitcoin is still stuck in its long sideways range, but the buyers underneath the market are getting harder to ignore. Matt covers roughly $1.2 billion in Bitcoin whale accumulation and about $750 million in U.S. spot ETF inflows this week, while also looking at continued pressure on Bitcoin miners and another delay to the CLARITY Act until at least September. The episode also covers Coinbase losing another prediction-market court fight, Coldcard losses climbing above $116 million across more than 5,200 wallets, BIP-110 continuing to struggle for miner support, and XRP weakening as regulatory clarity gets pushed further out. Bitcoin is back near $65,000 and the Fear & Greed Index has moved to neutral, but Matt remains cautious about calling a true breakout. Happy Hodling, Everyone. Hosted on Acast. Craig reviews another slow week across the crypto market, with Bitcoin continuing to struggle below $65,000 and most major coins trading sideways. He remains long Litecoin after a clean daily breakout and is watching for a possible pullback and bullish continuation. Ethereum showed slightly more strength, while Binance Coin, Cardano, Dogecoin, Solana, XRP, and Tron offered very little momentum. Bitcoin Cash was one of the weaker performers, falling roughly 10% over the week. With few strong trends available, Craig is focusing on higher-timeframe breakout setups in markets such as Injective and Ethereum Classic rather than forcing low-quality trades. His main message is patience: when conditions are this slow, traders should reduce activity, manage risk carefully, and wait for the market to provide better opportunities.Start your free 7-day trial of Market Intern at: https://marketintern.comSubscribe to Craig's free Tuesday newsletter at: https://www.thegrowmeco.comHappy Hodling, Everyone.
