In this deeply personal and powerful wrap-up episode, James Sawyer shares how his Delirious West 2025 unfolded across four days, 79 hours, and hundreds of emotional highs and lows. From the outside, James' run was smooth—no gear drama, no major disasters—but what made it remarkable was the mental depth, emotional vulnerability, and sheer human connection along the way. Running shoulder-to-shoulder with his mate Ben, James talks about their pacing, their sleep deprivation strategy (or lack thereof!), and how a bacon and egg sandwich diet powered him through more than 300km. He opens up about an emotional breakdown around the 301km mark—a raw, sobbing moment that felt like shedding a lifetime of masks—and why that moment is, in many ways, his highlight. This is a story about showing up as yourself, leaning into the adventure, and discovering what's possible when you let go of control and let the trail guide you. Key Highlights: •Starting strong with no real plan—and somehow executing it perfectly •The mental crash at 150km, and the power of a 60-minute nap and a teddy bear •Fuel of choice: 27+ bacon and egg sandwiches and mango chicken fried rice •Crew love, pacer magic, and the joy of running with someone who just “gets it” •An unplanned perfect finish—James and Ben, reunited at the end •Emotional truths: what James uncovered about himself when no one was watching Connect with Us: If you've ever run from something—or towards something—this is the episode for you. Tune in, share it with a trail buddy, and tell us: what's the mask you dropped on the trail? To Volunteer: Seattle/King County Clinic - Seattle Center Foundation Overview: Transformed from watching "60 Minutes" to founding a clinic that serves 3,000 patients in four days Used event planning background rather than healthcare expertise to approach problems differently Created a collaborative model where diverse skills complemented each other's gaps Challenged stereotypes by showing diverse patients - teachers, tech workers with insurance, not just unhoused individuals Built community between patients and volunteers by midday of each clinic Used the clinic as both immediate intervention and platform for advocacy Incorporated storytelling through comics and patient narratives to humanize statistics Balanced meeting urgent needs while pushing for systemic reform Demonstrated how naivete and humility can be assets when creating innovative solutions Prioritized listening and supporting patients over rushing through care Helped providers reconnect with the human aspects of medicine, free from business metrics Next Step: Visit our website, Healthcare for Humans, and join our community to enjoy exclusive benefits at https://www.healthcareforhumans.org/support/ Support Our Mission: Non-clinicians, explore exclusive content and contribute to our collective journey. Our first interview, “Four Days in October,” focused on the intense deliberations that took place behind closed doors regarding the possibility of Israel responding to its stronger adversary first, Hezbollah in Lebanon, rather than Hamas in the Gaza Strip. If you have not heard or seen that interview, you can find it here. For the second interview in our series with General Gallant, we focused on the most difficult aspect of this war - the hostages in Gaza and the efforts to bring them home.Yoav Gallant served as Israel's Defense Minister from 2022 until 2024. He was fired by Benjamin Netanyahu twice in those two years, first in 2023, when massive protests in Israel led Netanyahu to reverse his decision, then again in November of 2024. Gallant is a member of Netanyahu's Likud party. His military career spans five decades, beginning in 1977 as a naval commando in Shayetet 13, and serving as chief of the IDF's Southern Command during Operation Cast Lead, an early war with Hamas that lasted from late 2008 to early 2009. CREDITS:ILAN BENATAR - Producer & EditorMARTIN HUERGO - Sound EditorYARDENA SCHWARTZ - Executive Editor of Ark MediaGABE SILVERSTEIN - Research Intern YUVAL SEMO - Music ComposerAMIEL SHAPIRO - Voice Actor

CREDITS:ILAN BENATAR - Producer & EditorMARTIN HUERGO - EditorREBECCA STROM - Director of OperationsSTAV SLAMA - Researcher GABE SILVERSTEIN - Research Intern YUVAL SEMO - Music Composer

The global gag rule, which prevents non-governmental organizations who receive U.S. global health funding from providing, counseling on, referring for, or advocating for abortion in their own country and using their own, private resources, has been reinstated by President Trump. Lori Adelman, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Global, and Caitlin Horrigan, Senior Director of Global Advocacy at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, sits down to talk with us about what the expanded global gag rule is, what it means for health practitioners and patients abroad, and how it can be repealed. When the global gag rule is in place, there is a deep disrupting in health service delivery, bolstering an anti-human rights agenda globally, undermining trust in medical providers, and weakening civil society allies. Communities have less access to centralized, essential care, which can force people to turn to unsafe methods of abortion. Thankfully, there are policy solutions. The Global Health, Empowerment, and Rights Act (Global HER Act), which was reintroduced this week, would take away presidential power to reinstate the global gag rule. Support the showFollow Us on Social: Twitter: @rePROsFightBack Instagram: @reprosfbFacebook: rePROs Fight Back Bluesky: @reprosfightback.bsky.social Email us: jennie@reprosfightback.comRate and Review on Apple PodcastThanks for listening & keep fighting back!

President Donald Trump took office this week, and on day one, reversed multiple US policies that directly affect Israel, including reversing sanctions against Israeli settlers in Judea and Samaria. 3 Israeli hostages were released last week as part of phase 1 of the Gaza ceasefire deal, and in exchange, 90 Palestinian prisoners in Judea and Samaria. This leads us to the next war front that could be much more dangerous than all of the other war fronts - the one in Judea and Samaria! There has been so much more news coming out of America and Israel this week, we'll get into all of that on today's episode. We sort through some of the next questions to ask about Trump policy as well, especially whether he'll get what he wants from the oil and gas market: lower prices. Elsewhere, the market is issuing a collective yawn after the BoJ hike overnight. And we flag the big event risks of next week and an interesting US option market indicator that suggests some nervousness despite record levels in the US S&P 500. The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz

Today's cast: Dan, Stugotz, Chris, Billy, Lucy, and Mike. After four days of football over the holiday weekend, Dan asks Stugotz and the Shipping Container where to begin. The crew begins by diving into strange kicker stats inspired by Justin Tucker's continued struggles. Then, flag planting caused fights all across College Football this weekend. While Mike is frustrated by both flag planting and upside down hand signals, Dan finds the fights to be a "natural escalation" of college kid behavior in intense rivalries and Lucy finds it all kind of funny. Plus, Billy dismisses all of Europe, Sir Big Spur and the Cock Commander, the "worst 11-1 team of all-time," and how the Texans should feel after knocking out Trevor Lawrence in their win over the Jaguars. Also, after the Dolphins loss in the cold on Thanksgiving, who's to blame? Did Tua do enough to change narratives? Is it more about Chris Grier or Mike McDaniel? And will you join us to see if they can keep their season alive at our Sunday Service presented by Smirnoff? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
