This week on Love (and Revolution) Radio, we speak with Dr. Jus Crea, a member of the Penobscot tribe, ethnobotanist, and Naturopathic physician, about traditional Indigenous medicines, ways of life, and culture. She discusses history, challenges to maintaining practices, and how politics influences the ability of native peoples to maintain their cultural traditions. The internet has uprooted everything small businesses used to know about marketing, sales - you name it! I'm here to make sense of this chaos. I want small businesses to feel confident in what they are doing and why they are doing it, just like they did 15-20 years ago. To be confident, businesses have to know what has changed, what has stayed the same, and what they can do about it. Everything a business owner should know.

Today on The Revolution Radio Show, I'm pleased once again to have my brother, Anthony Thompson, who received his degree in music and has performed in the US and abroad along with and on the same platform as gospel artists as Kirk Franklin, The Winans, John P Kee, Rev Milton Brunson & The Thompson Community Singers, Bebe & Cece Winans. Anthony has played along jazz greats Larry Carlton, Grover Washington Jr, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Wayne Shorter, and recorded with the legendary Charles Thomas. Trust me when I say he is well qualified to handle this subject today!Something has happened to gospel music, and we are going to dig in and talk about it.....

Had a very interesting conversation this weekend in regards to some believers who have made it a point NOT TOO mingle with "THE WORLD", as if any association with someone who isn't "SAVED" would be detremental to their walk with God. Paul in his letter to the Corinthian church admonishes that one of the responsibilty of the believer was the ministry of reconciliation. (I Cor 5:18-19) How do you bring reconciliation to something that you refuse to associate with? How do you bring light to darkness when you refuse to associate with darkness? How can you demonstrate the power of God through your life when that demonstration is only done within the walls of your church or among those that have the same beliefs as you? Today on The Revolution Radio Show, we will look at this subject in light of scripture and try to determine if our coming out from among them, also includes a total seperation as well.

Over the past few months, there has been a drastic increase in the number of suicides that have occurred from those who are in ministry positions! There seems to be an undo pressure that many are crumbling under. The need to silence personal issues behind the closed doors while maintaining the spotless image before the people. The need to show unnecessary strength, when everything in you just needs a shoulder to lean on and possibly cry as well!! The need to have all of the answers and rarely reaching out when you don't.The list could go on and on!Those who are in leadership positions seem to find themselves at times, with a shoulder full of responsibilities that at times are much too bear. Oftentimes, the sad reality is that most of those shoulder bearing responsibilities are unneccessary! Sometimes we have a need to feel important! Sometimes that need outweights the knowledge we have of knowing our own limits, but we push and push ourselves until its too late.Today on The Revolution Radio Show, we are going to deal with the pressures so many justifiably and unjustifiably place on themselves and the things that we can do to perhaps intervene before the pressure reaches its max.
