Have you ever felt spiritually exhausted, constantly wondering if you've done enough for God? In this episode, we unpack Hebrews 12 and explore the difference between trying to earn God's approval and resting in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Instead of running a fear-driven treadmill of religious performance, believers are invited to fix their eyes on Jesus and run the race in the freedom, grace, and security He already secured on the cross.--The Unveiling Mormonism podcast pulls back the curtain on Mormon history, culture and doctrine. For many people coming out of Mormonism or other works-based religions, faith can feel like a treadmill that never stops speeding up. You keep trying harder, hoping you'll finally measure up.But Hebrews 12 gives us a completely different picture. After spending eleven chapters explaining who Jesus is and what He accomplished on the cross, the author says, “Therefore… run the race.” Hebrews 12:1-2. The difference is this: Christians don't run to earn God's love. They run because Jesus has already secured it.Jesus already did the work.Hebrews teaches that Jesus is the perfect sacrifice for sin. He paid the penalty we could never pay and sat down at the right hand of God because the work was finished. Hebrews 10:11-14. Salvation is not about trying harder—it's about trusting Jesus. That's why Hebrews 12 tells believers to “strip off every weight” and run with endurance. Hebrews 12:1. Some weights are obvious sins, but others are things like fear, pressure, perfectionism, or constantly trying to please people. Those burdens can keep us from fully resting in Christ. The chapter also gives practical encouragement for following Jesus:Embrace God's loving discipline. God trains His children because He loves them, not because He wants to punish them. Hebrews 12:7Pursue peace with others. Christianity calls us to honesty, humility, and reconciliation. Hebrews 12:14Pursue holiness. God changes us from the inside out through His Spirit. Hebrews 12:14Encourage one another. Christians are meant to help each other remember God's grace. Hebrews 12:15Uproot bitterness. Hurt and anger can poison our hearts if we hold onto them too long. Hebrews 12:15One of the most important verses in the chapter says that Jesus is “the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.” Hebrews 12:2. Jesus doesn't just start salvation and leave us to finish it ourselves. He is both the author and finisher of our faith. That means believers don't live in fear of losing God's love every time they fail. Instead, they live in freedom, knowing Jesus already secured victory through the cross.Hebrews 12 ends with an incredible promise: believers are receiving “a kingdom that is unshakable.” Hebrews 12:28. Our hope is not built on our own performance or worthiness. It is built on Jesus. So stop trying to earn what Christ already paid for. Fix your eyes on Jesus and run the race in freedom.

Ever feel like no matter what you achieve, it's never quite enough? You hit the goal, get the thing, close the deal, and then almost immediately your brain moves the target again. You're not lazy. You're not ungrateful. You're just infected. And in this episode, we talk about exactly that. In this solo episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast, I break down what I call the More Disease, the hedonic treadmill that keeps high achievers stuck in a cycle of wanting more money, more followers, more stuff, more achievements, without ever actually feeling fulfilled. This episode isn't about toxic positivity or telling you to want less. It's about getting honest with yourself, backed by real science and real data, so you can finally understand why chasing more keeps leaving you empty, and what to focus on instead. Here's the big shift: the villain isn't ambition. It's misdirected ambition. Most of us are running harder and staying in the same spot emotionally, because we're chasing things that science already proves won't bring lasting happiness. The cure isn't deprivation. It's redirection toward the things that actually move the needle on fulfillment. A few key takeaways from this episode: Money is a tool, not a cure. Research from Princeton, Penn, and a joint 2023 study all point to the same truth. If you're unhappy, more income won't fix it. Past a certain threshold, you'd have to double your earnings just for a tiny bump in satisfaction. Money buys you options, and options are beautiful. But it won't buy you peace. Social media is engineered to keep you wanting more. The 2026 World Happiness Report found that more than five hours a day on social media links directly to lower well-being, more stress, and more depression. It was built like a slot machine, wired to trigger the same novelty craving. The wildest stat? Most US college students wish it didn't exist, but keep using it because everyone else does. Your stuff owns you more than you own it. Study after study shows high materialism links to lower life satisfaction. Buying things to fill a void doesn't fill it, it just makes the void louder. Past a point, your possessions cost you your time, your attention, and your peace. Presence is the actual cure. A Harvard study tracking over 2,000 people found that our minds wander 47% of the time, and that wandering is what makes us unhappy. How present you are predicts your happiness better than what you're actually doing. The things that bring the most genuine joy, real connection, movement, nature, being fully in the moment, none of them are for sale. Define your true freedom number. Enough isn't a feeling that shows up on its own. You have to define it. Get crystal clear on what financial and creative freedom actually look like for you. When you hit it, celebrate it. Stop moving the goalpost. Measure yourself against where you've been, not some ever-shifting version of where you think you should be. At the end of the day, this episode is a reminder that Happy Hustlin' isn't about doing more. It's about being more present with what you already have, while you build toward what you actually want. The cure to the More Disease lives inside you, not in the next purchase, the next milestone, or the next follower count. If you're a high achiever who's tired of the treadmill and ready to feel genuinely fulfilled while still going after your goals, this episode is for you. The Carver Carnival is the Carver College of Medicine's unofficial exhale — an end-of-year celebration where students who have been running on caffeine and anxiety for nine months can finally look up from their notes. In an unusual move, the Short Coat took its mic into the crowd and asked what these med students actually learned. The EKG crisis that resolved by Thursday, the anatomy confabulations that somehow pass, and the therapy dogs reveal a recurring theme: medical school is both harder and more fun than you might expect, the competition is a myth (at least, here), and the best thing you can do the hour before your next exam is probably go to the gym instead of studying. And the financial aid guy in the dunk tank sends memes at the end of bad-news emails.

Like the episode? Let us know with a quick text!In an interview, ultramarathon runner and Fresh Junkie Ambassador Jacob shares how he began running in his late teens after being sedentary and overweight, inspired by watching the Cajun Man Triathlon, then trained for and completed a sprint triathlon as his first race before progressing to half marathons, marathons, 50Ks, 50-milers, and finishing his first 100-miler (Loop Garoo 100), which he praises for its community and aid stations. He describes pre- and post-race routines (oatmeal, minimal stretching, pizza, Epsom salt baths, and active recovery), preferred gear (headphones, HOKA Speedgoats, Brooks Adrenalines, and New Balance Super Comp trainers), and fueling (Tailwind and Gushers with salt tablets). He highlights favorite races (Behind the Rocks 50 in Moab) and toughest experience (New Orleans Ultra 50 with severe cramps), advises beginners not to compare themselves on social media, and notes upcoming goals, including a 10-hour Louisiana Summer Nights Ultra, another 100-miler, and a possible Treadmill 100, while finishing LSU vet school.Jacob Martin - https://www.facebook.com/jacob.martin.775927Races MentionedCajun Man TriathlonLoop Garoo 100Behind the Rocks 50-MilerGeorgia Death RaceNew Orleans Ultramarathon 50-milerLouisiana Summer Nights UltraDreadmill 100Shout OutsFresh Junkie RacingSupport the showFor more details on Run Your Story happenings, visit https://runyourstory.com/For web development or tech services, visit https://gaillardts.com/Go Run Your Story and take a piece of this story with you! In this week's podcast episode, we look back at a Research Refresh by Ané Lloyd. Ané reviews a pilot study where 50 dogs of different ages and with different musculoskeletal diseases underwent a 5 week underwater treadmill treatment protocol. The study reports improvements in the range of motion of all joints following the 5 week period. She discusses how we can use our clinical records to prep and create retrospective studies, how we need to have our practices set up to do that, and what some of my recommendations would be if that is something that you want to pursue. She also discusses the various limitations of this study, and how it can be set up in the future to give us more reliable data. A toxic and false belief has been dominating business culture for decades: Money is the byproduct of value creation. It sounds like common sense, but it is one of the most damaging things a thinking person can believe. This episode takes the belief apart and shows the moral claim hiding inside the causal one. The cost of getting this wrong is steep: you spend thirty years hounded by a number you can never reach, unable to rest, unable to truly enjoy what you have built — and then arrive at sixty to discover the prize the belief promised was never there. You will hear about Gary Stevenson, the Citibank trader who got rich betting against ordinary people, and Harvard professor Michael Sandel on what price does to meaning. And one night in Singapore — the Dragon VIP table, thirty thousand dollar minimum, and the dread right behind the performance of pleasure. On the other side is rest from chasing the next number, space for fulfillment, contribution, and love… and the greater work that the market alone could never have pointed you toward, the work that runs on its own fuel and outperforms anything you ever produced to please the market. Listen now. Show Highlights Include: A popular claim made in podcasts, LinkedIn posts, and even respected business books that slyly design your belief system into feeling like you're not enough and will never be enough (2:03) Irrefutable examples of why your worth is not tied to your market value so you can stop living with invisible chains attached to you (3:52) How your belief that prices indicate worth will try to argue with me at (7:32) - watch what happens in you… The insidious way a toxic belief hijacks your mind to prove its worth to you (this explains why it's so hard to change your beliefs even when you're faced with proof it is not true) (12:07) Why some of the most successful people are the most unhappy and unsatisfied but won't even admit it to themselves (12:54) 2 ways the belief that "price = worth" tears apart your joy, fulfillment, and love bit by painful bit (15:16) 3 questions that can incapacitate the toxic belief that's been running you for your entire life (and why your toxic belief will fight back every step of the way) (21:07) How to step off of the "Treadmill of Worth" before you're on your deathbed and regret your entire existence (28:26) For more about David Tian, go here: https://www.davidtianphd.com/about/ Feeling like success in one area of life has come at the expense of another? I'm Diane, and I'm here with my daughter Alysha (aka Eash Da Beast), and in this episode we're sitting down just 8 days out from her bodybuilding show - peak week is officially in full swing! We're talking through what life really looks like right now in prep: the low energy days, carb thoughts taking over everything, shredded lettuce cravings, and the routines that come with getting stage-ready. We also break down what typically shifts this close to show day when it comes to food, cardio, water, and mindset, and why keeping things as consistent and simple as possible becomes the main focus. We also get real about the day-to-day experience of peak week - sleep, sodium, cravings, and trying not to overthink every little change in the mirror. And of course, we still end up talking about post-show food dreams… because that's basically part of prep at this point

I've been confusing Don with frontier-lab links late at night for a bit. Ilya Sutskever told a NeurIPS audience that pre-training as we know it would unquestionably end. There's only one internet, and the data isn't growing. The frontier labs call this the pre-training wall. A leaked Google memo from 2023 argued they had no moat. R1 is on GitHub. Llama is on Hugging Face. OpenAI's secondary-market valuation has climbed past $850 billion. Don was confused. So he came over and we made an episode about it. On some level we all dread the wind, the heat, the cold, the rough water, and the hills, but how do you learn to love it all for training benefit? Today, we look at the transition from indoors to outdoors and why it can be a shock to the system. We look at ways to build confidence and calm while preparing for anything in a race environment. How do you break out of your own personal matrix and create situations that will help you put your body in charge when the mind wants to run wild. Let's get one thing straight: the fitness industry has sold us a lie that if you're not drenched in sweat, tracking every step, optimizing every metric, and borderline hating your life… it “doesn't count.” We're calling bullshit. In this episode, Nicole sits down with Dr. Milica McDowell — doctor of physical therapy, human performance expert, and co-author of Walk — to dismantle everything we've been taught about exercise, movement, and what it actually means to take care of our bodies. Because walking? The thing you've been dismissing as “not real exercise”? It might be the most powerful, accessible, and science-backed tool for your health, longevity, and mental clarity. In this episode, we cover: Why walking is one of the most underrated forms of exercise for women's health The truth about the 10,000-step myth (and what actually matters) How walking improves mood, creativity, and cognitive function The shocking connection between foot health, balance, and longevity Why your shoes might be sabotaging your body (yes, really) The concept of “movement snacks” and how to fit walking into real life Treadmill vs outdoor walking — what actually counts How to build a walking habit without adding more to your already full plate Because maybe the goal isn't to do more, harder, faster. Maybe the goal is to finally do what works. And that might be as simple as going for a walk. Thank you to our sponsors! Gusto is online payroll and benefits software built for small businesses. Hard work alone is not a strategy. I can put in a lot of effort, feel tired, and still end up in the same place, like running on a treadmill. Effort feels productive, but that doesn't mean I'm actually moving forward. What matters is direction, leverage, and having a clear goal. I only become effective when I measure my work against a specific outcome, not just how hard I worked. In this episode, I explain why hard work without structure just leads to fatigue, not real results. Show Notes: [05:21]#1 Effort without positioning repeats. [08:31]#2 Hard work without control benefits whomever owns the structure. [14:28]#3 Advancement requires leverage, not volume. [18:44] Recap Next Steps: --- Execution is not a talent. It is a measurable standard. If your results don't match your ability, you are not lacking information—you are lacking execution reliability. The Execution Reliability Index (ERI) identifies exactly where your discipline breaks, where your standards drop, and where your results are leaking. This is not theory. This is a system. Get your ERI score here: → http://www.WorkOnYourGame.com/ERI This show is the public record of standards. Measurement and enforcement happen elsewhere. The performance art show "Burnout Paradise" consists of four people with a long to-do list, which they have to complete, while running on treadmills, within an hour, or the audience gets their money back. The show is a fun and experimental look at the challenges of having a true work/life balance in the 21st century. The show was created by Pony Cam Collective, and Pony Cam members Ava Campbell, Dominic Weintraub, and Hugo Williams discuss the piece, which is running now at the Astor Place Theatre. Labour's benefits reforms are now law. Ministers say they will cut poverty. Critics say they will simply transfer money from people who work to people who don't. Both sides are missing the point – because Britain's welfare state isn't just poorly calibrated. It is built on a fundamental misunderstanding of what poverty actually is.John Penrose, Chair of the Conservative Policy Forum, makes a quietly radical argument: that the official definition of poverty is itself the problem. By measuring poverty as anything below 60% of median earnings, the system embeds a permanent wealth-redistribution ratchet into the heart of the welfare state – one that treats the symptom, not the cause, and ensures that reported poverty barely shifts regardless of how many billions are spent.Despatch brings you the best writing from CapX's unrivalled daily newsletter.Stay informed with CapX's unmissable daily briefings from the heart of Westminster. FREE Self-Scaling Business Workshop: https://getepicsuccess.com/registration-yt WORK With Me: https://getepicsuccess.com/ceo-org If your revenue only moves when you're pushing hard… it might not be your effort. It might be your system. In this episode of the Epic Success Podcast / Scaled CEO Show, I'm breaking down the one method I used to finally escape the revenue treadmill and build a business that grows without me having to push a new boulder up the hill every single quarter. Because here's what most founders never realize: You don't have 50 problems. You have one real constraint — and until you find it, every tactic is just noise. Inside This Episode: ● Why your revenue spikes and slides (and what it's really telling you) The hidden pattern behind "launch, spike, crash" cycles — and why more effort isn't the answer ● The Theory of Constraints simplified for business owners How a single narrow point in your pipeline controls everything — and why fixing anything else is just pressure stacking up ● The 5-step constraint loop to escape the revenue treadmill Identify → Exploit → Subordinate → Elevate → Repeat. Applied directly to building self-scaling revenue ● How the world's biggest companies use constraint thinking to scale (And why the discipline is exactly the same whether you have 5 employees or 5,000) ● Your 90-day constraint sprint One critical number. One focus. One quarter to change how your business generates revenue If you're a founder who: ● Watches revenue jump during big pushes… then slowly slide back when you breathe ● Is exhausted by the launch-and-recover cycle but doesn't know how to break it ● Knows something structural needs to change, but isn't sure where to start This episode will show you exactly where to look. The Real Shift: Revenue treadmills aren't a hustle problem. They're a constraint problem. You don't need another campaign. You need to find the one thing throttling your growth — and build a system around it. When you do, revenue stops depending on your effort. And the business starts to carry its own weight. Ready to Find Your Real Constraint? Join me live for the Self-Scaling Business Diagnostic, where we: ● Score your CEO, Team, and Profit systems ● Identify the one constraint actually capping your growth ● Map out a 90-day sprint to start building self-scaling revenue

Nelson (with Coach Phil Stevens joining later) discuss what an AI scan identified as popular peptides in strength sports, focusing on sermorelin, TB-500, and PEG-MGF. They review purported mechanisms and typical injection use, emphasize limited human data and anti-doping restrictions, and share anecdotes about mixed results—especially for sermorelin and tissue-healing peptides often paired with BPC-157—while raising questions about GH/IGF-1 testing, pituitary responsiveness with age, and product quality from research chemical sources versus compounding pharmacies. They also touch on movement and brain health, mention Dr. Tommy Wood's book, note Iron Radio's updated distribution/feed changes and Mike's newsletter, and preview Phil's upcoming meet as he manages knee pain while preparing his 10-year-old son to attempt national-record lifts. 00:00 Welcome to Iron Radio 00:49 Hosts and intros 01:13 Kiteboarding and GoPro 02:05 Movement for brain health 03:11 Treadmill vs real running 03:43 AI peptides overview 05:02 Sermorelin GH booster 12:37 TB-500 tissue repair 19:33 Oral peptides and collagen 22:36 Show updates and promos 25:34 PEG-MGF muscle growth 28:27 Peptide Site Injections 28:51 Phil Joins Peptide Talk 29:31 Tesamorelin Fat Loss Hype 30:28 Standalone Results and Sleep 31:58 Legal Access and GH Tradeoffs 34:22 Pituitary Limits and Testing 36:30 Hormone Spikes vs Real Gains 39:15 Peptide Wild West Risks 41:04 Sourcing and FDA Crackdowns 42:36 Meet Prep and Youth Records 44:53 Wrap Up and Disclaimer Donate to the show via PayPal HERE.You can also join Dr Mike's Insider Newsletter for more info on how to add muscle, improve your performance and body comp - all without destroying your health, go to www.ironradiodrmike.com Thank you!Phil, Jerrell, Mike T, and Lonnie

Matt is joined by Canadian 2:09 marathoner Tom Nobbs, fresh off a huge breakthrough performance at the McCurdy Marathon. Tom ran 2:09 on a low-key, looped course to become the fourth fastest Canadian marathoner of all time and he did 98%+ of the build up on a treadmill! He joins the show to break down the training, racing, and mindset behind the result. Tom explains why the performance was especially meaningful given the unusual lead-in - it was his fourth marathon in around two and a half years, his first back-to-back marathon build since the Marathon Project, and a winter training block completed almost entirely on the treadmill. Tom shares how that treadmill-heavy buildup created a lot of uncertainty around race-day pacing and fitness translation. Once the pacer stepped off early, he was left to run roughly 22 miles alone on a looped course with confusing lap splits, forcing him to rely heavily on feel and effort rather than clean external feedback. That ability to stay composed and trust the work became one of the defining parts of the race. The conversation then turns to Tom's progression from 2:15 to 2:12 to 2:09. Rather than simply piling on more mileage, he credits much of that jump to improved speed, better quality, and specific Canova-style sessions such as 12 x 1K plus 6 x 400, along with frequent strides and faster running around 5K to 3K pace. Matt and Tom discuss how those layers of speed have helped raise his ceiling while still supporting marathon performance. They also get into body weight, fuelling strategy, and how Tom thinks about food through a marathon build, as well as race shoes, including the Puma Fast-R 3. Tom speaks about coaching with Team Run Run, his philosophy around helping athletes improve, and the value of putting bold goals out publicly rather than hiding from them. Later in the episode, they touch on Connor Mantz dropping Boston, the pros and cons of pros racing too often, and Tom's own plans moving forward, which include returning to shorter races on the track and over 10K before deciding on a possible fall marathon.
