Sifu David Peterson has been training in the Chinese martial arts since 1973.  He became a student of Sifu Wong Shun Leung, who was Ip Man's most famous student and Bruce Lee's mentor, after travelling to Hong Kong in 1983. Peterson is one of only two fully qualified instructors of Wong's system in Australia actually certified and authorised by Sifu Wong personally. I remember reading Sifu Peterson's book: 'Look Beyond the Pointing Finger: The Combat Philosophy of Wong Shun Leung' while working the night shift in the reception of a hotel in Crete, Greece.  It was two years since I had started training Wing Chun and so much was coming together while reading the book about his Sifu's fighting method. It was a great pleasure to sit down and chat with David Peterson about his experience in Hong Kong, his favourite Wing Chun stories and, of course, the legacy of his late Sifu, Wong Shun Leung. After talking to him I got inspired to buy the documentary: 'Wong Shun Leung: The King Of Talking Hands' and I absolutely loved it.  In my opinion, the book and the documentaried are a must-have for any Wing Chun or Ving Tsun practitioner.
