Send us a textOn this episode of Leave Your Mark, I'm pleased to welcome Greg Lothian—a man whose life's work has been defined by service, responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. For nearly three decades, Greg has walked three parallel paths. As an Athletic Therapist and Vitality Coach, he's helped people overcome physical challenges and reclaim their health since 1996. As a firefighter, with 25 years of volunteer and career service, he's shown up for people in moments of real crisis—when presence, courage, and calm matter most. And as a mentor, he supports his children, his clients, and fellow practitioners as they navigate the complexities of work, purpose, and life.Greg is deeply principled. He believes in standing up for what's right—even when the status quo has lost its moral compass—and he holds a clear, grounded view on value: that being compensated well is not only acceptable, but appropriate when it reflects the impact you bring to people's lives.Naturally curious and systems-oriented, Greg has a passion for problem-solving, meaningful conversation, and thoughtful debate. He's endlessly interested in how people think, move, adapt, and change. At the center of it all, he sees parenting as both life's greatest challenge and its greatest privilege—an ongoing balance of structure, mentorship, and the freedom to fail.An unrelenting entrepreneur at heart, Greg is on a mission to elevate standards in the global health industry and help both practitioners and clients achieve outcomes that are not just better—but sustainable. This is a conversation about service, integrity, leadership, and what it really means to make your work—and your life—matter. Andrew Humberman BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Andrew Huberman, the Stanford neuroscientist behind the worlds top health podcast, has kept his momentum rolling this holiday week with a blockbuster episode drop that underscores his empire building. On December 22, Huberman Lab released Transform Pain and Trauma Into Creative Expression featuring artist David Choe, a deep dive into turning suffering into art that racked up 89,000 YouTube views in just four days according to Huberman Labs own channel stats, positioning it as a potential evergreen hit for his audience of millions craving mental resilience tools amid seasonal stress.Just days later on December 25, he followed with Essentials How to Optimize Your Hormones for Health and Vitality alongside Dr. Kyle Gillett, tapping into evergreen biohacking buzz as confirmed on the official Huberman Lab site and iHeart listings, a strategic yuletide gift reinforcing his dominance in hormone and longevity science. This duo of releases highlights Hubermans knack for timing content around peak listener vulnerability, with the Choe episode echoing themes from a separate Gray Area podcast clip where similar dark mood philosophy surfaced, though Huberman wasnt directly involved there. No confirmed public appearances or business deals popped in the last few days, but a December 26 clip from an unnamed podcast recirculated Hubermans insights on training regimens that spike testosterone, per Idaho state app logs, sparking fresh social chatter on fitness circuits without new primary posts from him. His Protocols book remains in preorder hype on hubermanlab.com, teasing nervous system rewiring protocols that could cement his biographical legacy as the podcaster who mainstreamed neuroscience. Send us a textIn this episode, I'm concluding our three-part series on Ayurveda and perimenopause with a deep dive into ojas — the subtle essence that governs vitality, immunity, resilience, and emotional steadiness. We're recording in the dark days of winter here in the Northern Hemisphere, and I begin by reflecting on how seasonal rhythms mirror the inner transitions many of us experience during perimenopause. Just as nature turns inward in winter, this phase of life invites us to slow down, listen more closely, and tend ourselves with greater care.In Ayurveda, perimenopause is not seen as a problem or a decline, but as a time of refinement — a transition into a wiser, more conserving phase of life. Ojas becomes especially precious during this time, as rising vata (air and space) can draw on our reserves of vitality if we're not supported. In this episode, we explore:What ojas is from an Ayurvedic perspective — physically, energetically, and emotionallyWhy perimenopause is considered an ojas-sensitive windowHow hormonal shifts, stress, sleep disruption, and midlife responsibilities can affect ojasThe relationship between rasa dhatu, agni, and ojasSigns of ojas depletion — emotionally and physicallyThe difference between para ojas (essential, life-sustaining) and apara ojas (day-to-day, replenishable vitality)How ojas depletion can show up differently through vata, pitta, and kapha qualitiesGentle, realistic ways to rebuild and protect ojas during perimenopauseWhy this phase is not a depletion story, but a recalibration of energy and vitalityThis episode is an invitation to soften the narrative around perimenopause and to see it as a meaningful turning point: a time to protect the sacred nectar of vitality so we can move into the next phase of life feeling steadier, resourced, and radiant.Resources mentioned:Free download: A Gentle Ayurvedic Guide to Perimenopause: Five Ways to Support Your Nervous System and DigestionSelf-abhyanga (oil massage) practicesPrevious episodes in this series on Rasa and AgniIf this episode resonates with you, I'm also quietly preparing a spring offering that weaves together one-on-one Ayurvedic consultations, group support, yoga, somatic practices, and seasonal rhythm — you can join my mailing list to learn more when it's ready.Join the WAITLIST for Rhythm & RItual: an Ayurvedic Journey for PerimenopauseThank you so much for listening and for walking this transition with curiosity and care.Resources:Ayurvedic Dosha Quick Reference Guide Abhyanga Self Massage Guide Weekend Nervous System Reset Nourished For Resilience Workbook Find me at www.nourishednervoussystem.comand @nourishednervoussytem on Instagram

Closing in on 300 episodes of The Made To Thrive Show, it's been an enriching and empowering journey for me speaking to global experts and health heroes about their fields of expertise. So in honor of the 300 mark, I have put together a masterclass composed of the best insights for each of Made To Thrive's 7 Pillars To Thriving: purpose, community, sleep, nutrition, movement, self-quantification, and environment. Thriving - Pillar by Pillar distills the best of those conversations into one powerful series. Each episode is curated to help you not just understand a specific pillar — but how to take action to live it.This is Medicine 4.0 in action: preventative, proactive, personalized through data, and performance-enhancing. We believe sustainable health begins with awareness, and education is the foundation that transforms how we become aware of ourselves and the actions and habits that create our life. Only when we understand, can we identify both what's holding us back as well as the thriving that's possible. At the root of the word doctor is Latin for teacher. Through the Pillar by Pillar series, I hope each episode becomes a lesson about how to see health and wellness differently, and to empower you to take action, one intentional, educated step at a time.Sleep Sleep is the bedrock of recovery, brain health, and hormonal balance. Quality sleep—particularly deep and REM cycles—enhances cognitive function, emotional regulation, and metabolic health. Without proper sleep, even the best habits in nutrition or movement are seriously negated, making it a pillar you cannot skip.Featured quests:1. Dr Michael Breus2. Devin Burke3. Testosterone is everywhere in menopause conversations right now, often framed as a solution for everything from low energy and brain fog to bone health and longevity. In this episode, Dr. Sarah Court breaks down what actually matters when it comes to testosterone for menopausal women, separating social media hype from clinical evidence. The real questions are not whether women have testosterone or whether levels change with age, but whether testosterone should be prescribed, for whom, and what the data truly supports.Using current consensus guidelines, this episode explains why testosterone has one narrow, evidence-based indication, hypoactive sexual desire disorder, and why claims about mood, energy, cognition, bone health, and longevity are not supported by high-quality research. Dr. Court also walks through how testosterone is prescribed in the real world, why the lack of FDA-approved products for women creates problems, and what the safety data does and does not tell us about long-term risks. If you have heard confident claims about testosterone as a menopause cure-all, this episode provides the context you need to evaluate those messages with clarity and skepticism.FOLLOW @MovementLogicTutorials on InstagramMovement Logic: Free Barbell Mini CourseInstagram: Professor Susan DavisInstagram: Dr. Kelly CaspersonGlobal Consensus Position Statement on the Use of Testosterone Therapy for Women — Davis et al., 2019, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & MetabolismISSWSH Clinical Practice Guideline on Systemic Testosterone for Women — Parish et al., 2021Testosterone Therapy for Women, Systematic Review & Meta-analysis(Lancet Review) — Islam et al., 2019Androgen Therapy in Women, A Reappraisal — Davis & Wahlin-Jacobsen, 2015Kelly Casperson blog post — Testosterone Can Help With Libido, Energy, Focus, & More During MenopauseYou Are Not Broken Podcast — Kelly Casperson, MDYouTube Short: Testosterone and Bone HealthYouTube Short: Testosterone, Motivation & Vitality

How lost we are in the virtuality of life, scrolling through endless doors and borrowed selves, mistaking possibility for freedom, until we wake each day more familiar with other people's lives than our own. Somewhere along the way, we stopped living and began watching, comparing the hidden chaos of our days to the polished front rooms of others, and wondering why we feel so restless, so behind, so unfinished. This meditation is an invitation to step out of the performance, to stop wandering other people's gardens, and to come home to your own life. As we approach 2026, the question is simple and urgent, what if this became a year of freedom, not the freedom to be everything, but the freedom to be real, to clear the noise, and to let God meet you exactly where you are.
Bournemouth have a clear policy of signing young talent, giving them Premier League experience, and profiting from their departure. Whilst this formula is admirable, it leads to high personnel turnover, an ever-changing and uncertain squad dynamic, the constant need to retrain new recruits, and it puts pressure on recruitment to get the right players in. With Marcos Senesi being the latest player to signal his intent to move, we ponder whether Bournemouth's transfer approach potentially needs more balance, which in turn would create a greater amount of stability amid a perceived player "exodus". Sam and Tom review AFC Bournemouth's unbelievable 4-4 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, before unpacking the rest of the week's Cherries news, including... ▪️ South Stand enabling works will be commencing at Vitality soon! ▪️ AFC Bournemouth women have got some HUGE games ahead! -▪️ Vitality will sponsor AFCB's kit from next season! Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:4,7This week we continue the series titled, “Revival and Vitality”, with sharing from brothers Marty Robert and Ken Walker on daily contact with the Lord being the crucial factor for being revived and the vital group having life as the source, love as the condition, and fruit-bearing as the goal. Dr. Martin Picard, PhD, is a professor of behavioral medicine at Columbia University and an expert on how our behaviors and psychology shape cellular energy production and rates of aging. He explains that your mitochondria don't just “make energy”; they translate what you do—your mindset and your relationships—into the energy you experience as vitality or lack thereof. He explains how exercise, nutrition, sleep, meditation, and even certain thought patterns and our sense of purpose can charge our cells like batteries. He also shares findings that hair greying is the result of cellular stress and is reversible. This episode links physical and mental ‘energy' with cellular energy and provides science-supported tools to improve your physical and mental health. Read the episode show notes at hubermanlab.com.

What if youthfulness isn't about age but about how your nervous system moves, senses, and adapts? In this inspiring episode, Heidi Hadley, Certified Clinical Somatic Educator and founder of Total Somatics®, explores the neuroscience of ageless movement. News for the Heart talks with Tracy McBurney.Unlock your body's energy blueprint. In this profound episode, Tracy and Laurie decode the deep connection between digital technology, emotional trauma, and achieving optimal physical health. A seemingly simple communication issue—a Wi-Fi handshake problem—was effectively diagnosed using Gemini AI. This digital resolution revealed a critical, surprising insight: Laurie's current physical weakness and energy depletion mirrors a systemic "handshake" failure within her own complex biological system. Consequently, the discussion shifts to exploring the surprising parallels between intricate digital structures and holistic health frameworks. Listeners will discover the foundational NES Health concept of Human Body Energy Drivers. These 16 vital energetic components are inherently vulnerable to factors like environmental toxins, significant trauma, and even subtle life events. The hosts examine why three of Laurie's core drivers (Source, Cell, Muscle) simultaneously deactivated. Furthermore, they discuss the necessity of unmasking truths and actively clearing any pervasive non-beneficial energetic forces through focused spiritual intention. The conversation deepens as they conceptualize the nervous system as the body's internal Wi-Fi system. Tracy provides expert context on the current accelerated ascension cycle and the resultant rise of subtle energy awareness in clients. Laurie transparently shares her personal journey through a profound crisis of faith encountered during an unexpected housing crisis. Tracy then recommends specialized thymus gland affirmations as a concrete practice to help rebuild trust and internal stability. Ultimately, the path to deep healing requires forgiveness. The hosts guide listeners through the process of releasing persistent guilt and emotional attachments (even those symbolically represented by a sentimental family table!). You will learn how the act of full-body forgiveness restores energetic balance. Tune in to understand your unique energy blueprint, reclaim your inner vitality, and find enduring freedom through a renewed divine connection.

Send us a textJoin myself host, Tara Preston & guest Colin Jackson for this weeks episode of Radiant Midlife where we chat about creating a foundation of sustainable and holistic training habits for midlife women. Your body is changing, your schedule is packed, and the internet won't stop shouting “fix your menopause belly.” On this episode we take a moment to just breathe, turn down the noise, and build real strength that actually supports your midlife life. I'm joined by Coach Colin Jackson—a women's fitness specialist and registered massage therapist—who has spent over a decade helping women 35+ lift heavier, sprint smarter, and feel genuinely at home in their bodies. The conversation also names the cultural headwinds: the constant pressure for smallness and quick fixes. Instead of chasing shrinking goals, we choose power. You'll hear how strength work can ease joint aches as the body regains stability, why plant-forward meals, fiber, sleep, and walking amplify results, and how to move from foundation to optimization using tempo, rep schemes, and rest intervals that target specific adaptations without losing the basics. We dig into what intensity really means and why heavy compound lifts in the six to ten rep range outperform endless circuits for muscle, joint stability, and bone density. If you're ready to trade fatigue for focus and comparison for capability, this is your roadmap. Take a listen, & learn to celebrate your wins. Whether it's two to three weekly strength sessions, a short sprint finisher, or a consistent bedtime—and watch your capacity for strength & vitality in midlife grow. Strong Economy and Rate Cuts — Elizabeth Peek — Peek documents that the U.S. economy remains robustly strong, with aggregate consumer spending outpacing inflation rate accumulation, indicating sustained purchasing power and economic vitality. Peek acknowledges that labor market sentiment remains weak despite aggregate employment statistics, reflecting worker anxiety regarding job security and wage growth relative to cost-of-living increases. Peek predicts the Federal Reserve will reduce interest rates in December responding to softening employment indicators and deflationary pressures. Peek highlights ongoing uncertainty regarding potential emergency tariff implementation pending Supreme Court constitutional review and validation of executive authority over international trade policy. 1907 NYSE
