In 1942, on the heels of the Pearl Harbor attack as the US entered the war, Canada and the U.S. agreed to form a special top-secret military commando unit – nicknamed by the Nazis as “The Black Devils” for their stealth, bravery and skill. Designed to work as a nimble, highly conditioned unit of ‘super-fighters' with special skills, selected servicemen from the two nation's forces became one and trained for eight-and-a-half months in Helena, Montana before being shipped overseas to Europe.Bill Woon's dad, Dave Woon, was a Canadian national who was recruited to the unit. Dave ultimately married a Montana girl, and raised his family there, and never discussed the details of his adventures with his son. Bill relates the history of the group, trained initially for cold-weather fighting in Norway, but ultimately deployed in Italy where they knocked the German mountain stronghold of of Monte La Difensa and held a key strategic position during the Battle of Anzio, before being deployed to France and Germany. Bill later worked to get his dad's unit a special gold Congressional Medal in 2005. Notably, the First Special Service set the paradigm for the Green Berets and other tier-one fighting gro The FSSF Service originally recruited about 1800 soldiers, won all 22 battles they engaged, had a casualty rate of 134%, and captured over 30,000 enemy soldiers.Heroes Behind HeadlinesExecutive Producer Ralph PezzulloProduced & Engineered by Mike DawsonMusic provided by ExtremeMusic.com

In This Episode Success without structure eventually becomes self-sabotage. In this episode, Adi Klevit interviews Tommy Breedlove about his transformation from financial executive to founder of Legendary. Tommy shares how hitting a personal rock bottom forced him to confront blind spots, redefine success, and rebuild his life from the inside out. That internal shift directly accelerated his external success. Adi and Tommy explore what most entrepreneurs get wrong: trying to scale without leverage. Tommy breaks down how founders must identify their zone of brilliance, delegate intentionally, and build systems that allow the business to operate without constant oversight. Without leverage and processes, growth simply creates a more demanding job. They also discuss AI and the future of leadership. Tommy emphasizes that while technology is accelerating, human connection, clarity, and disciplined systems will continue to differentiate true leaders from overwhelmed operators.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish released in December 2022 as an unexpected masterpiece that caught audiences and critics completely off guard. What could have been just another disposable animated sequel instead became a profound meditation on mortality, anxiety, and finding meaning in our finite lives.Legendary swashbuckler Puss in Boots confronts his own death, quite literally, in the form of a terrifying wolf, after losing eight of his nine lives to reckless overconfidence. What makes this DreamWorks sequel so remarkable is its willingness to tackle genuinely heavy themes with sophistication while delivering breathtaking Spider-Verse-inspired animation that redefined what the studio could achieve visually, and is a love letter to fairy tales, making every frame a piece of art, showcasing how creativity can transform storytelling in animation.Puss's journey in this film isn't just about chasing wishes; it's about confronting fears and embracing life, showing that even legends can feel vulnerable. The legacy of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish extends far beyond its box office success and critical acclaim. It proved that animated films could explore existential dread and panic attacks without talking down to audiences of any age, and it demonstrated that a mid-budget sequel could outshine its predecessors through sheer artistic ambition and emotional honesty, as an animated movie about a fairy tale cat became one of the most unexpectedly powerful animated features of the 2020s, and its antagonist; the personification of Death itself, became one of animation's most memorable villains in years.Support Verbal DioramaLoved this episode? Legendary forecaster Martin Armstrong warns that the world is entering a new phase of distributed global conflict, not World War III in the traditional sense, but simultaneous regional tensions (Iran-Israel, China-Taiwan, Russia-Europe, North Korea-South Korea) that reflect resurfacing historical grudges. Armstrong attributes this partly to geopolitical miscalculation by neoconservatives, particularly regarding Ukraine, where he claims deliberate provocation destabilized the region. He argues that Europe's economic stagnation and leadership (specifically Macron) are driving the continent toward military adventurism as a distraction from systemic collapse. Meanwhile, capital will continue to flow strategically, currently favoring the U.S. market over a weakened Europe, with China poised to eventually replace the dollar's reserve status, though not until after 2032. On AI, Armstrong directly challenges the hype: artificial intelligence excels at pattern recognition and synthesis but cannot create original ideas, a critical limitation that dooms most AI applications to failure in dynamic fields like trading and forecasting. He also addresses the accelerating debt crisis (now $38 trillion), central bank digital currencies as an end-run around constitutional protections, and gold's trajectory toward $5,000+ as capital preservation. His core thesis remains unchanged: the entire Western system faces mathematical insolvency within the decade, with governments deliberately manufacturing external enemies to delay the reckoning. Martin Armstrong forecasting, World War III predictions, dollar reserve currency, central bank digital currency, economic collapse 2032, Ukraine geopolitics, AI limitations trading, gold price $5000, China replaces dollar, Western debt crisis
