Why do tennis players lose matches they should win?Legendary coach and former World No. 4 Brad Gilbert breaks down the tactics, mindset and tiny margins that separate winning from losing — with lessons from coaching Andre Agassi and insights on Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Caroline Garcia.Brad explains why he once told Agassi, “I never beat you. You lost to yourself,” and how changing the way Andre thought about risk helped transform his results. In this episode of The Insight, Brad reveals:• Why hitting more winners doesn't necessarily mean playing better tennis• The mistake players make when a game plan stops working• Why you shouldn't change a winning strategy until your opponent forces you to• How just 5–7 points can decide an entire match• What Roger Federer's 53% of points won teaches us about greatness• The tactic Andre Agassi hated — even while it was helping him win• Why Novak Djokovic is so effective in pressure moments and tiebreaks• How elite players prepare before a Grand Slam• Why one bad match can never be allowed to become fiveBrad Gilbert built his career around understanding how to win — even when winning doesn't look pretty. The Harvard longevity scientist tells Lewis comfort might be the thing quietly killing us. Constant food. No exercise. Never getting cold. All of it speeds up how fast the body breaks down. His research found something stunning. Calorie restriction alone can slow aging enough to add fifteen, maybe twenty five years. Lewis has his own proof it works outside a lab. A freezing hike up a mountain, wind whistling at sixty miles an hour, hands going numb through frozen gloves. He calls it life changing. Turns out the mind matters as much as the body here. What gets said out loud on that climb can decide whether the body pushes forward or shuts down. Discomfort, on purpose, might be the closest thing to a fountain of youth. Sharpens your focus. Pulls up the parts of your brain that remember what actually matters to you. Then she gets personal. Every major decision in her life has come with the same nagging question: am I adequate to this moment? Her answer isn't to silence the doubt. It's to ask a different question instead. Have you ever walked away from a conversation with a friend feeling smaller than when you arrived? In this episode of Sarah's Thoughts, Sarah Grynberg explores one of the most difficult and often unspoken dynamics in adult friendships: jealousy. Why do some people celebrate our struggles but seem distant when we succeed? Why can good news sometimes change the energy in the room? And how do we know when a friendship is genuinely supportive, or quietly holding us back?Drawing on neuroscience, Sarah explains how feelings of scarcity and low self-worth can shape the way people respond to someone else's success. More importantly, she shares how to recognise the difference between isolated moments and unhealthy patterns, trust your intuition, and protect your emotional wellbeing without guilt. This episode is a reminder that the people closest to you should never make you feel smaller. They should celebrate your growth, champion your dreams, and make you feel more like yourself, not less.If this conversation resonates with you, share it with someone who needs the reminder that true friendship celebrates your light.Purchase Sarah's book: Living A Life Of Greatness here.To purchase Living A Life of Greatness outside Australia here or here.Watch A Life of Greatness Episodes On Youtube here.Sign up for Sarah's newsletter (Greatness Guide) here.Purchase Sarah's Meditations here.Instagram: @sarahgrynberg Website: https://sarahgrynberg.com/Facebook: facebook.com/sarahgrynbergTwitter: twitter.com/sarahgrynberg Hosted on Acast. In this episode of Crosstalk, hosts Charles and Daniel explore what it means to "think big" about God. They challenge listeners to move beyond limited, childlike perceptions of God's size toward a mature understanding of His transcendence, nearness, and holiness. Using Scripture and personal stories, they present three key principles: a bigger view of God produces wiser thoughts, recognizing God's nearness leads to wiser decisions, and understanding God's holiness inspires purer living. They emphasize intentional biblical thinking as essential for personal faith and passing sound theological understanding to the next generation.

In Week 5 of our Kingdom Greatness series, Pastor Dave Mudd delivers a powerful, heart-checking message on what it truly means to serve the body of Christ. Grounded in 1 Corinthians 12:12–27, this message challenges us to move past spectator Christianity and embrace our God-given call to active service within the church. The church is not a product to consume, but a family to build and a body where every single part matters. Whether you've been leaning into comfort, assuming someone else will step up, or searching for your place, this message invites you to step out of the bleachers, discover your purpose, and experience the deep joy of serving together.Key Takeaways & Lessons:- You are an Essential Part of the Body: God intentionally placed you in the church with specific gifts—there are no extra or unnecessary members in the body of Christ.- Shift from Consumer to Contributor: True kingdom living moves away from asking "What can this church offer me?" to asking "How can I help build God's family?"- Service Over Comfort: Jesus calls us to a life of sacrifice rather than convenience; embracing the hard work of serving is where real spiritual growth and maturity happen.- Shared Ministry Prevents Burnout: The church flourishes when every believer steps up, ensuring no single group carries the burden alone.- Serving Flows from Salvation: We don't serve to earn God's love, but because we've already received it—serving is a natural expression of following Jesus.

She calls it the wealth container. Your nervous system's ability to hold and receive money, not just chase it. Most women she coaches fall into one of two traps. They can't trust anyone else to help, so they burn themselves out doing everything alone. Or they're terrified of outgrowing the people who raised them. That second one hits different. Being different from your family. Your friends. The people who shaped you. It's one of the biggest hidden reasons people stay small financially. Lewis opens up about his own version of this in his 20s. Winning at everything, driven to be number one, and still feeling like it wasn't enough. Last week was one I'll never forget. We had the privilege of hosting the New Orleans Saints here at IMPACT-X Performance in San Diego for an incredible week of training, recovery, fieldwork, and brotherhood. Watching these young men prepare for an NFL season reminded me of something that applies to every single one of us—whether you're an athlete, entrepreneur, coach, parent, leader, or simply someone committed to becoming your best…it takes meticulous effort, coaching, hard-work, attention to detail, and big aspirations and visions to attain your wildest dreams. So here's my question to you: What if the difference between where you are today and where you're meant to be isn't more talent...but a better mindset, greater discipline, even more attention to the little things, and having the right environment and the right coaching around you to help you attain your dreams? Here's the truth: Greatness isn't reserved just for the gifted. It's earned in the habits, the details, the preparation, and the mindset you bring every single day. So you gotta bring it! Without further ado, let's dive into what was an unforgettable week with the Saints last week. In this episode, you'll learn: Why there is always another level, no matter how successful or experienced you are. How your body language and engagement reveal your leadership before you ever say a word. Why attention to detail separates good from truly great—and how the little things build championship cultures. The critical role recovery plays in sustaining high performance, energy, and longevity and what are some of the top recovery protocols. Why you can only do so much physical work—and how visualization, preparation, and mental reps create elite performers. Why mindset matters more than ever and practical ways to "Get Your Mind Right" when life tries to knock you off course. How the habits of NFL athletes can directly impact your business, career, relationships, leadership, and everyday life. Why surrounding yourself with the right people can give you the "juice" you need to keep going when the battle gets hard. No matter what season you're in, I hope one of these lessons hits you exactly where you need it. Maybe it's a reminder to pay more attention to the details. Maybe it's prioritizing your recovery. Maybe it's simply choosing to show up with better energy. Or maybe it's hearing, once again, that your battle isn't happening to you—it's preparing you for the blessing that's on the other side. And if nothing else, I believe you're going to get some "juice" from this episode. So enjoy it! Throughout Scripture, people fasted in seasons of uncertainty, grief, and preparation—not to change God, but to let God change them. Whether you're seeking wisdom, direction, or a renewed hunger for Him, this ancient practice still has the power to shape our lives today.

That's the image Dr. John Delony uses to explain why couples get stuck after betrayal. They want the old thing back. It's gone. Delony says you get two choices. Walk away and let it go. Or hire the right help, grieve what fell, and build something new that's actually stronger. He also names the quiet poison underneath most relationship pain: me over us. How I feel right now. How you made me feel. Not what my own body is doing and why. Lewis gets honest too. Ten years ago he needed to win every conversation, be right, look good. He calls it defense mode. What changed it was choosing service over self, collaboration over competition. This one will change how you see your next hard conversation. Then he never looks at the list again. Not once. Thirty years later, writing his memoir, Matthew McConaughey finds that piece of paper in a box. All 10 goals had happened. Four he's still actively living out. He didn't remember writing most of them. He calls it an invisible contract that becomes non-negotiable the moment you put it on paper and sign your name to it. Not a vision board. Not a note on your phone. An actual signature, like you're making a promise to a version of yourself that hasn't shown up yet. If you've got a goal floating around in your head right now, this might be the nudge to finally write it down. Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1113DM Author Jen Hatmaker contends boys face equally damaging narratives as girls, recalling her sons' heartbreak dispelling gender stereotypes. She feels some tropes are evolving with more identity freedom, though few role models existed addressing men's struggles when young. Hatmaker highlights the ripple effect from Lewis opening up about sexual trauma, empowering other men to share unresolved pain too. She advocates basic humanity of listening without judgment so suffering individuals can release instead of imploding trauma. Hatmaker argues solving pent-up rage starts small through courageous vulnerability. By going first, influencers instantiate cascades of healing as people extend grace, seek counseling and halt generational damage. Overall, she uplifts shared humanity over suffering alone and encouraging anyone's first steps toward reconciliation. Sign up for the Greatness newsletter! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
