Bierdz (born March 25, 1962) is an American actor best known for his portrayal of legacy character Phillip Chancellor III on the daytime drama The Young and the Restless, recurring from 1986 to 2011. He was a repeat guest star (1995) on Melrose Place , guest starred twice (1994, 1995) on Murder She Wrote and once (1994) on Matlock and Robin’s Hoods and many other roles. Being the first openly gay soap actor in a contract role, he was honored in 2009 by the Human Rights Campaign Bierdz played Bobby Burton on the web series Old Dogs New Tricks in 2012, 2013 and 2016.Bierdz co-founded www.americanartawards.com in 2008. Thom Bierdz, who played the role of Phillip Chancellor IV on "The Young and the Restless," from 1986-1989, will be appearing on BuzzWorthy Radio this week.
