Last week, we shared Part 1 of Junaliza Chappell's story. By February of 2007, Juna was preparing to leave her husband, Timothy, and start over in California with her 3-year-old daughter, Ashley.Juna had carefully crafted her exit plan. Ashley was already in California, staying with Juna's trusted friends, Frank and Grace. Juna had moved some of her belongings into a storage unit there. She had a new job waiting for her, but first she needed to attend job training in Florida. From there, the plan was for Juna to fly back to Atlanta, get her car, and drive west. But Juna never made it to California.Timothy later claimed that he picked Juna up from the Atlanta airport and took her to Walmart to pick up a prescription. He said Juna went inside and never came back out. From the beginning, there were problems with that story, and by the time investigators tried to verify it, potential surveillance footage was already gone. Then the situation became even more alarming. Juna's coworker and friend, Faye, began learning more about Timothy's past. Around that same time, Timothy seemed to disappear, too, and Ashley was with him. When Timothy was eventually found, he was driving Juna's car, and Ashley was in the backseat. Inside the vehicle were belongings Juna likely would have taken with her if she had been the one driving to California, including her purse.Timothy was arrested that day, but not for anything connected to Juna's disappearance. He was arrested because he was a sex offender who had failed to register, and authorities had found Ashley in his care.In Part 2, we shift the focus to the women who kept pushing after Juna vanished. Faye kept digging. She searched for more information about Timothy's past, followed the details that did not add up, and tried to gather anything that might help keep him incarcerated. Now-retired U.S. Marshal Katrina stayed focused on Timothy from a different angle. She had already been searching for him before Juna disappeared. As new information surfaced, the case became darker, more complicated, and increasingly tied to the man Juna had been trying to leave. If you have any information about the disappearance of Junaliza Chappell, please contact the Atlanta Police Department Missing Persons Unit at 404-546-4235.Ashley has also created an email address for tips. Kaôh F***ing Rong Rewatch Ep 10 Survivor: Kaôh R?ng heats up as Rob Cesternino and Chappell return for another episode of Kaôh F***ing Rong, diving straight into one of the most unforgettable Tribal Councils of the season. With idols flying, alliances fracturing, and a super idol twist hanging in the balance, the episode spotlights Tai's game-changing decision not to play the super idol for Scott Pollard—sending shockwaves through camp and landing Scott on the jury with a hidden idol still in his pocket. Rob and Chappell dig deep into the mechanics and missteps of the Scott, Jason, and Tai trio, dissecting how a group armed with three idols and numbers still winds up outmaneuvered by the opposing alliance. The hosts highlight Aubry's impressive strategic and social gameplay, noting her quiet but crucial efforts to sway Tai and drive the vote, while Julia's double-agent play nearly seizes control for the other side. The show takes a look at the Survivor editors' role in crafting suspense, transforming a straightforward blindside into pure television gold. Rob and Chappell don't shy away from discussing the edit's effect on perceptions of Aubry and Michele, and they dig into the vital questions of who's really reading the game correctly. Key points include: – Tai's hesitation in playing the super idol and its fallout for Scott and Jason – How three idols failed to protect the alliance in back-to-back blindsides – Aubry's sneakily effective pitch to Tai and her evolving edit as a potential winner – Julia's risky maneuvers as the season's double agent and her strategic split-vote plan – The absence of a loved ones visit and the surprisingly plentiful food rewards this season With blindsides mounting and lines redrawn in the sand, Rob and Chappell question whether the big players are keeping up with the fast-evolving game or if another shocker is just one vote away. Can Aubry continue her strategic surge, or will Michele and Julia flip the script? Kaôh F***ing Rong Rewatch Ep 6 Survivor: Kaôh F***ing Rong is back and Rob Cesternino and Chappell are diving into episode 6 of Survivor: Kaôh R?ng—where strategy goes sideways, trust gets tested, and a vote at Tribal Council makes reality TV history. This week, it all comes down to Dr. Peter's game: can he scramble out of the Brains alliance hot seat, or does his flip-flopping seal his fate? Aubry Bracco faces her biggest test yet, making a last-second, pen-scratching decision that could change her game. Rob and Chappell break down the drama-packed dynamics on the Gondol tribe, where a supposed numbers advantage gets exposed as wishful thinking. The discussion highlights how Peter tries conspicuously (and clumsily) to flip, only to get caught in his own web of strategy and social misreads. Aubry's decision to cross out Julia's name for Peter at Tribal becomes Survivor legend, and the hosts dig into the rare possibility of a pre-merge rock draw, noting how the show doesn't mention the tie-breaker at all. Meanwhile, on the other tribe, Michele quietly shows her social chops, and Debbie continues to steal scenes. Key moments and must-listen insights include: – Aubry's history-making, crossed-out Tribal Council vote and what drives her sudden change of heart – Dr. Peter's disastrous attempt to go rogue and how his blunt honesty and lack of subtlety cost him – Joe Del Campo's tough-love approach: interrogating Peter, risking both their games, and never quite letting go of the plan – Julia's slick social game after Exile Island—returning to improved positioning while flying under the radar – The ongoing Kao?h Ro?ng infection mystery, with some wild (and hilarious) speculation about Dr. Peter's medical care This episode leaves big questions about Aubry's future, the strength of the Brains, and what really mattered most at that crucial Tribal. Kaôh F***ing Rong Rewatch Ep 5 Survivor: Kaôh R?ng explodes with chaos as Rob Cesternino and Chappell bring you another unfiltered episode of Kaôh F**ing Rong*. The tribe swap creates shockwaves through the game, with injuries, dehydration, and a surprise visit to Exile Island pushing the castaways—and their alliances—to the breaking point. Julia's exile tips the scales, Anna Khait’s game slips away, and every move suddenly matters more. Rob and Chappell break down exactly how the new tribe numbers leave some players powerless, questioning production's decision to let the season get so brutally tough. Anna Khait’s quiet, swap-driven demise is unpacked as the hosts debate whether Tai played things right with his idol, especially under Scott's influence to hold out for a super idol play. They tackle the messy Brains dynamics, with Peter's arrogance and tone-deaf “no-brainer” talk, the shifting social weather, and the surprisingly fun teamwork (and drama) between Scott and Tai. On the other tribe, it's a 2v2v2 stalemate—with Debbie's hilarious confessionals and power plays making every scene unpredictable. Key points include: – Julia's exile and its immediate impact on alliances and strategy – Tai's dilemma over using his idol for Anna, and Scott's push for big idol moves down the line – How Peter puts a massive target on his own back by alienating everyone – The return of old-school challenges and why fans miss them – Debbie's unique confessional moments and her status as a recurring Survivor legend The swap shakes everything up: are new alliances for real, or is another blindside about to hit? Will Tai stick with Scott and Jason or take a new path? Find out where the power shifts—and who might be the next castaway to fall—on Kaôh F**ing Rong* with Rob Cesternino and Chappell! Kaôh F***ing Rong Rewatch Ep 4 Survivor: Kaôh R?ng gets wild as Rob Cesternino and Chappell break down one of the most intense and bizarre episodes from the season on their Survivor rewatch recap. With scorching heat, relentless challenges, and a shocking medical evacuation, hosts Rob Cesternino and Chappell dig into the heart of the “Caleb medevac episode.” This recap zeroes in on how one brutal reward challenge turns into chaos, what went down back at camp, and the tribal dynamics that led to yet another member leaving the game in dramatic fashion. The episode focuses on the infamous day when the heat gets deadly during a reward challenge, keeping everyone digging in scorching sand for what feels like forever. Players collapse from exhaustion, leading to medical emergencies for Debbie, Sydney, and ultimately, Caleb, who is airlifted out of the game. Rob and Chappell analyze why Survivor spent nearly half the episode on this challenge, the evolving attitudes about player safety, and how Jeff Probst reacts as the stakes get more dangerous by the minute. Back at camp, alliances are tested, and Alicia faces a near-unanimous ousting as her tribe all but skips the strategy scramble before Tribal Council, fast-forwarding to her inevitable torch snuff. Key points of interest include: – Rob Cesternino and Chappell reliving the grueling sand-digging challenge that leads to three castaways passing out from heat exhaustion – Insights on how medical emergencies—including Caleb's evacuation—changed the way Survivor approaches player safety – A deep dive into Alicia's treatment by her tribe, with both hosts questioning the edit and the real-life personal impact – Reflection on how the episode structure highlights old Survivor versus the “new era” approach, especially regarding hard gameplay and compassionate edits – Speculation about how a Shot in the Dark twist might have shaken up Alicia's fate With the pre-swap phase overtaken by dramatic medevacs and bitter tribal divides, Rob and Chappell wonder if Survivor: Kaôh R?ng's handling of danger and bullying would ever fly in the current era. How might newer twists or better casting change these outcomes? And what really happens when the game's physical stakes run headlong into emotional and social limits? Tune in to hear how Rob and Chappell navigate all the highs and lows of Survivor: Kaôh R?ng’s wildest episode—will the chaos lead to new strategies, or is the season about to shift with the coming tribe swap? Romans 9:14-24
Romans 9:14-24
This week's preacher: Dr. Davis Chappell Our Scripture reading: Ephesians 5:15-21
Why do so many businesses hit a ceiling at around 10 employees? Many founders start their business because they're brilliant at what they do. In the early days, decisions are fast, communication is simple, and the founder sits at the centre of everything. Then the business grows. Suddenly, what made the business successful starts to become the thing holding it back. In this episode of ScaleUp Radio, Kevin Brent speaks with Tameron Chappell, founder of Athinka, a business psychology consultancy that helps organisations build healthier, higher-performing teams using evidence-based psychology rather than management fads and airport business books. Tameron explains why the transition beyond 10 employees is one of the most challenging moments in a founder's journey, how personality dynamics influence team performance far more than technical capability, and why shared leadership is critical for sustainable growth. About Tameron Chappell Tameron is the founder of Athinka, a consultancy specialising in business psychology and team effectiveness. Working primarily with startups and scale-ups, Tameron combines psychodynamic and systemic approaches to help founders and leadership teams understand the hidden patterns, behaviours and relationships that influence performance. His work often begins when traditional consulting approaches have failed to deliver lasting results, helping organisations uncover the deeper causes of team dysfunction and leadership challenges. In this episode: Why businesses often stall at 10 employees Many founders unknowingly create a business model that relies entirely on them. As the team grows, this becomes unsustainable. The founder becomes the bottleneck for decisions, problem-solving and accountability. Tameron explains why the 10-person mark is a critical inflection point and why leaders must begin building shared ownership and leadership much earlier than they think. The uncomfortable reality of scaling leadership One of the biggest mindset shifts for founders is recognising that they may not always be the best person for their current role. Growth requires leaders to continually evolve and sometimes redefine their responsibilities. Tameron discusses why succession planning, delegation and leadership development should be part of the scaling conversation from day one. Why personality matters more than technical skills Recruitment often focuses heavily on experience, qualifications and technical competence. However, Tameron argues that personality fit, behavioural tendencies and stress responses are often far better predictors of long-term success. Past performance in one environment does not guarantee success in another. Understanding how individuals naturally operate under pressure can significantly improve hiring decisions and team performance. Understanding the psychology behind team dynamics Rather than viewing personality through simplistic labels and categories, Tameron describes personality as a complex mixing deck of traits that interact differently depending on circumstances. Helping team members understand their own preferences and those of colleagues can reduce conflict, improve communication and increase trust. Evidence-based business psychology Athinka's approach is grounded in established psychological theory and research. The consultancy combines: • Psychodynamic approaches to explore the relationship between an individual's inner world and workplace behaviour. • Systemic approaches to uncover hidden organisational patterns and group dynamics. The result is practical insight that helps teams function more effectively and leaders make better decisions. Standout Quote "Most businesses don't stop growing because of strategy. They stop growing because the founder's control model no longer works." Key Takeaways • The 10-employee mark is often the first major scaling challenge. • Founders must evolve their leadership style as the business grows. • Shared leadership creates stronger, more resilient organisations. • Personality and behavioural fit matter more than technical skills alone. • Team effectiveness improves when people understand how others naturally operate. Mike Hohnen's practical interpretation of Dave Snowden's Cynefin model, especially for founders navigating complexity, pace and ambiguity. Mike makes complexity human and usable. Richard Schwartz's Internal Family Systems (IFS) for understanding your inner architecture, your triggers, and how to lead yourself with more clarity and compassion. His book No Bad Parts is a great entry point. Systemic thinking for teams and organisations = anything that helps you uncover the hidden patterns around you. If you want something highly practical, David Marquet's intent‑based leadership work (Turn the Ship Around, Leadership is Language) and his short Leadership Nudges videos on YouTube are brilliant for everyday behavioural shifts. Kaôh F***ing Rong Rewatch Ep 2 Survivor: Kaôh R?ng episode 2 brings plenty of chaos as Rob Cesternino returns with co-host Chappell for a wild recap of the second week's gameplay and meltdowns. Recap is back as Rob and Chappell break down the infamous “stand up, Jennifer!” moment, diving deep into legendary Survivor implosions and misplays that still have fans talking ten years later. This episode zeroes in on the flameout of Jennifer Lanzetti, who goes from safe to out in the blink of an eye after a series of questionable Tribal Council choices. The hosts dissect how Jennifer's desperate bid to flip the vote—standing up to make a dramatic speech and targeting the wrong allies—sealed her fate on the Brawn tribe. Meanwhile, Alicia defies all odds to survive another vote, despite being at the bottom and mocked by her own alliance. On the Beauty tribe, the bromance between Tai Trang and Caleb Reynolds gets the spotlight, with nods to Big Brother and Survivor odd-couple pairings, while Tai's epic struggle to retrieve the hidden idol raises the stakes. The Brains tribe adds to the drama with infighting over kerosene, water safety, and jungle know-how, as Liz Markham and Joe Del Campo butt heads, and Debbie Wanner adds her trademark quirkiness to tribe life. Key moments and insights include: – Jennifer Lanzetti's unforgettable Tribal Council scramble and stand-up speech, unraveling her game overnight – Alicia's surprising persistence and unorthodox fire-making comeback – Tai Trang's physical and emotional struggle climbing to reach the hidden idol on the Beauty beach – Brains tribe chaos: Liz and Joe's rivalry over camp decisions, and Debbie's laugh-out-loud confessional claims – Rob Cesternino and Chappell's theories on Tribal Council vote splits and behind-the-scenes subtext Will the Brawn tribe recover from back-to-back losses, or is another blow-up on the horizon? Can Alicia flip the script and join a new alliance—or will her luck run out before the merge? Hosted by Rob Cesternino and joined by Chappell, this full-spoiler rewatch episode unpacks why Survivor: Kaôh R?ng still stands out in the franchise. The duo zeroes in on camp life taking center stage, from the shock of Jennifer's ear bug nightmare to the infamous split of the Brains tribe and Ty’s heartfelt depiction as a multi-layered “beauty.” Chappell and Rob walk through the episode's retro vibes, contrasting old-school Survivor premieres with today’s high-octane new era, and debate whether the season's memorable characters owe their impact to casting or clever editing. Key moments include: – Aubry's rocky start on the Brains tribe and her season-long growth arc – Debbie's arrival as a fully-formed Survivor original, giving “coach energy” right from her first confessional – Ty's struggle fitting in on the Beauty tribe and why his vulnerability wins hearts – The Brawn tribe's messy first Tribal Council, including a tie vote and a first boot that stuns both hosts – Hot takes on Scott and Jason as Survivor's last true “villains” and how the show's editing shaped their portrayals Rob and Chappell question which gameplay choices early in Kaôh R?ng shaped the flaming dynamics that follow—did the show lose its “North Star,” or is this the era Survivor got the balance right? At the SOAP meeting in Montreal, Desiree Chappell and Monty Mythen interview Dr. Marie Louise Meng, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Duke University Department of Anesthesiology and her former cardio-obstetric fellow Liliane Ernst, assistant professor in the Obstetric and Gynecologic Anesthesia section Wake Forest University. The conversation focuses on cardio-obstetric anesthesia, hemodynamics, monitoring, and patient-centered care. Meng describes building multidisciplinary "pregnancy heart teams" to plan management for complex cardiac disease in pregnancy and reduce birth trauma. Ernst discusses research using the Premier database on preexisting atrial fibrillation in pregnancy (about 25 per 100,000 deliveries) and associated management and outcomes. They review cases including mechanical circulatory support with an Impella to prolong pregnancy and highlight knowledge gaps about placental perfusion and pulsatility, including Fontan physiology. Meng outlines individualized hemodynamic monitoring for labor and C-sections, emphasizes recognizing hypertensive instability, and details preeclampsia with severe features, its end-organ criteria, incidence, disparities, postpartum follow-up challenges, and potential use of remote monitoring and noninvasive cardiac output/SVR monitoring to guide therapy. Monty Mythen, founding editor-in-chief of TopMedTalk, is now Senior Vice President, Scientific Liaison, BD Advanced Patient Monitoring. He is also Emeritus Professor of Anaesthesia and Critical Care, University College London, UK. Desirée Chappell, former co-editor-in-chief of TopMedTalk, is now Director of Medical Affairs and Medical Science Liaison, BD Advanced Patient Monitoring. She is also a CRNA at NorthStar Anesthesia, USA. -- Join us at Evidence Based Perioperative Medicine (EBPOM) World Congress 2026 in London. This week's preacher: Dr. Davis Chappell Our Scripture reading: Acts 2:1-21
Acts 2:1-36 Acts 2:1-36 - The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost 2 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. 5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7 Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren't all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? 9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” 12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?” 13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.” Peter Addresses the Crowd 14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.' 22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God's deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. 25 David said about him: “‘I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. 26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest in hope, 27 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, you will not let your holy one see decay. 28 You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.' 29 “Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. 30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. 31 Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay. 32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. 33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. 34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, “‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand 35 until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”' 36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

Million Dollar Secret Season 2 Finale Week Recap Chappell and Brian Scally return to break down the intense two-part finale of Million Dollar Secret season 2, covering episodes seven and eight. As the season closes, new alliances form, old bonds crumble, and the game's final twists make every move count. This recap dives deep into strategy, shifting suspicions, and the high-stakes endgame that crowns the next millionaire. Brian and Chappell review how the remaining players navigate both familiar and brand-new challenges. They track the formation and collapse of the “cool club” alliance, spotlighting moments like the debated fashion clue and failed high-fives that send suspicions in all directions. The hosts analyze Cat's last-minute maneuvers, Caleb's attempts to dodge detection, and Nick's ability to outplay even as he fights from the outside. The episode captures the drama inside the trophy room, the pressure of near-misses, and how Daisy's exit shakes the house's trust. With a final memory challenge and a nerve-wracking box switch, the race for the million comes down to who can read the room—and their rivals—the best. The alliance between Kat, Daisy, Caleb, and Lauren G. attempts to control the endgame, but cracks appear as trust erodes over fake and real clues. The trophy room's fashion clue sparks debates and bold attempts at misdirection, raising the stakes for Cat and Kevin. Daisy's passionate post-vote reveal flips the social game and exposes shifting loyalties at the most pivotal moment. The memory-based finale challenge and subsequent box-switching showdown give every finalist a chance to influence the outcome, forcing hard decisions under pressure. Caleb's conservative gameplay and Nick's perceptive reads on opponents become central as endgame strategies are put to the test. How do calculated risks and last-minute betrayals shape the outcome of Million Dollar Secret's showdown? Can loyalty survive when trust is in short supply, or does sharp gameplay win out in the end? Listen now for a smart, lively take on the drama, strategy, and reversals that define this season's final chapters.
