Send us a textMark Connolly K9 Command A dedicated law enforcement officer with a deep passion for K9 work, Mark reentered law enforcement and is currently serving as a Police K9 Handler with his agency. With years of experience, he continues to bring his expertise in training and handling working dogs.A former Police K9 Handler and K9 Training Director for multiple departments, Mark has handled a wide range of working dogs throughout his career. He is currently handling his fifth police dog and continues to make significant contributions to his department's K9 unit.During his time as a K9 Training Director, Mark certified numerous dogs to the North American Police Working Dog Association (NAPWDA) national standards and trained police K9 officers to achieve their certification levels. His impact extends beyond his direct work with K9s, as he has turned underperforming K9 units into highly respected divisions within their departments, earning the respect of veteran K9 trainers and handlers nationwide.Mark's life changed forever on April 11th, 2005, when he and K9 Cliff were involved in a high-speed vehicle pursuit of three armed gang members. The chase ended violently in a gunfight, during which Mark was struck by three bullets fired by the fleeing suspects. Remarkably, his bulletproof vest stopped the fatal shot, saving his life. This event ultimately earned Mark both the Purple Heart and a Valor Award for his bravery. Although the incident altered the course of his career, his commitment to serving his community and pursuing justice has never wavered. In addition to his law enforcement work, Mark continues to help K9 teams across the country, providing training and support. He is also passionate about educating the public on dog behavior and training, ensuring dogs are well-integrated members of their communities. Daniel Friebe and Lionel Birnie return to discuss the latest racing and news in professional cycling - this week with ace TNT commentator Rob Hatch.   We revisit some of the big talking points after the Ronde van Vlaanderen at the weekend, including Mathieu van der Poel's disrupted preparation and what the result means for Eddy Merckx-Tadej Pogačar comparisons.  Of course on Sunday Pogačar could achieve a feat that no one since Merckx has managed - winning Paris-Roubaix as the reigning Tour de France champion. Can he do it? And if not, could the subject of another Coorevits Corner this week, Belgian sweetheart Wout Van Aert, be the man to thwart him? Ep. 31—Midjourney: New Tricks, Wild Updates, and Deep CutsDrew Brucker and Rory Flynn are back, and this episode is one giant creative rabbit hole. From the Valentine's Day chaos of Brooklyn (spoiler: crying and semi-trucks were involved) to Birmingham, Alabama's undercover coolness, the duo kicks things off with some quality storytelling before diving headfirst into Midjourney madness, AI breakthroughs, and wild tech speculation. They wax poetic on 90s movie nostalgia, aggressively defend Heavyweights and Dodgeball, and collectively mourn the death of genuinely dumb, hilarious comedy. But then—like true AI nerds—they pivot hard into a full-blown discussion on Midjourney's updates, AI video tools, hardware rumors, and the next wave of creative technology.Somewhere in the mix, they channel their inner Steve Jobs, dissect Nike's early hustle, and debate whether AI-powered wearables will be revolutionary or just another overpriced gadget nobody asked for. There's also a completely unnecessary deep dive into AI-generated fishing footage (don't ask), a rant about why Midjourney's moderation is suddenly allergic to the word "mucus," and some genuinely useful insights on AI in branding, prompt engineering, and the future of digital creativity.- Brooklyn on Valentine's Day is pure chaos.- Birmingham might be cooler than we thought.- 90s movies had a magic we don't get anymore.- Midjourney updates are coming… but when?- AI tools are evolving, but they still frustrate us.- AI hardware could be game-changing (or totally useless).- Steve Jobs was onto something.- Community feedback shapes tech more than we realize.- AI-generated video is getting dangerously realistic. - Midjourney's biggest challenge? Keeping up with its own hype.Buckle up—it's a fast, weird, and wildly entertaining episode.

In this episode of the Microsoft Threat Intelligence Podcast host Sherrod DeGrippo is joined by Microsoft's Dinesh Natarajan, Senior Threat Hunter, and Thomas Ball, Senior Security Researcher. They unpack recent findings around AsyncRAT, a remote access Trojan (RAT) used for keylogging, data exfiltration, and deploying further malware.     Dinesh explains how attackers are now using screen-sharing tools, like Screen Connect, as part of a new infection chain that makes the malware delivery process more deceptive. Thomas then shares insights on SectopRAT, another threat targeting browser data and crypto wallets. Uniquely, this RAT creates a second desktop, allowing attackers to operate undetected.     Next, Sherrod talks with Microsoft's Senior Director of Diplomacy, Kaja Ciglic, about the UN's proposed cybercrime treaty. Originally spearheaded by Russia, the treaty aims to create a global framework for prosecuting cybercrime, but critics worry about its potential impact on freedom of expression and human rights.    In this episode you'll learn:       How tech support scam emails lead to AsyncRAT installations on different devices  The importance of leveraging tools like Microsoft Defender's SmartScreen for protection  The treaty encourages cooperation but may let governments exploit unclear cybercrime definitions    Some questions we ask:     How does social engineering through email play a role in these attacks?  What capabilities does AsyncRat have, and why is it so concerning?  How do we ensure the treaty doesn't impact freedom of expression or human rights?    Resources:   View Dinesh Natarajan on LinkedIn  View Thomas Ball on LinkedIn  View Kaja Ciglic on LinkedIn   View Sherrod DeGrippo on LinkedIn     Related Microsoft Podcasts:                    Afternoon Cyber Tea with Ann Johnson  The BlueHat Podcast  Uncovering Hidden Risks        Discover and follow other Microsoft podcasts at microsoft.com/podcasts     Get the latest threat intelligence insights and guidance at Microsoft Security Insider      The Microsoft Threat Intelligence Podcast is produced by Microsoft and distributed as part of N2K media network.
