There's much to be said about how The Outer Worlds 2 was handled prior to its release. Everything from a lacking preview and Avowed's underwhelming launch to Xbox attempting to force a $80 price point put this game on the uphill climb. All of that is out the window now. Cog and Matty have it in hand and have logged their many hours! Is the Black Rock ready to deliver on the RPG pedigree that they're known for or are they best off focusing on their new strength in games like Grounded or Pentiment? Prince Andrew's downfall is one of the most humiliating collapses in modern royal history. Once celebrated as the Queen's proud, battle-tested son, he's now the monarchy's biggest embarrassment—stripped of his titles, frozen out of public life, and quietly told to stop using “Duke of York” in any official capacity. His friendship with Jeffrey Epstein destroyed his reputation, and that infamous BBC interview finished the job. The “I don't sweat” defense, the “Pizza Express in Woking” excuse, and the tone-deaf denial turned him into a global punchline. Now, even within his own family, he's a ghost—technically still a prince, but one without purpose, honor, or credibility. The palace's silence speaks louder than any statement: Andrew is done.Historically, plenty of dukes have fallen from grace—some lost their heads, some lost their thrones—but none have been publicly humiliated like Andrew. His disgrace didn't come from war or treason but from arrogance and entitlement in the age of social media, where every lie is immortal and every excuse becomes a meme. The monarchy has erased him one step at a time, preserving the crown while letting him fade into oblivion. He's not the Duke of York anymore—he's the Duke of Nowhere, condemned to live out his days as a cautionary tale about power, privilege, and the price of believing you're untouchable.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

October kicks off with a bang. Rob, Corndog, and Bernie recap Dallas Kibbe's three-day run at Jefferson Speedway: a breakout Friday-night win away from home—perfect choose-cone calls, smart restarts—followed by the rough side of racing on Saturday with hard contact and a heavy hit that likely totaled the Legends car. The best news: Dallas is OK (no head issues). With the Las Vegas Asphalt Nationals just weeks away, the scramble is on to source a competitive car and make the trip. Bernie's news (presented by National Parts Depot) covers the industry and the track: Bosch trims auto-parts jobs, modern-car “features” that drive us nuts (blinding DRLs, multipurpose buttons), and Ida Zetterström's jaw-dropper .000 reaction time in Top Fuel versus Tony Stewart. There's also a Route 66 “Pavement Pounder” road trip—think keys-in-hand cruise to SEMA with badges and Semafest perks—plus Rob's cursed-but-fun weekend (bank card fraud, a cranky 944 speedo, and one life-changing smash burger). Rob tees up an Ask Rick crossover for The MuscleCar Place: Bob Lutz on EV inevitability and Rick Schmidt's response. Then it's a Dukes of Hazzard rewind—“State of the County”—where Daisy's new flame carries fireworks, Boss J.W. Hickman is played by Larry D. Mann (yes, Yukon Cornelius), and an Oak Ridge Boys cameo caps a leaf-strewn car-chase episode (call it 6–7 Corn Dogs). Sponsors: Holley has fall deals; NPD keeps the parts coming. Hit play for the full Dallas timeline, the Vegas plan, and all the laughs we didn't spoil. The post K&F Show #341: Dallas' Wild Jefferson Weekend, a Dukes Classic, and the Road to SEMA first appeared on The Muscle Car Place.

Where did the world-famous author Jane Austen find inspiration for her classic novels? Two hundred and fifty years after her birth, Gardeners' Corner presenter David Maxwell explores the outdoor spaces closely linked to her life and writing. In Hampshire, he visits the cottage garden at Chawton, where Jane lived with her mother and sister, and where she wrote and revised her most famous works. Now the Jane Austen House Museum, its Director Lizzie Dunford reveals how gardens and outdoor life shape Austen's stories. The new head gardener, Michelle Hickman, shares how the garden around the house has a planting scheme Jane would have recognised, all beneath two venerable yew trees which still stand as living witnesses to her time there. Inside the house, David discovers the horticultural wallpaper that surrounded Austen as she wrote. Nearby at Chawton House—once gifted to Jane's brother—Molly Maslan and Julia Weaver walk him through the grand gardens where she found further inspiration. He also finds a rose bred in her honour called ‘Pride and Prejudice'. Further north, David travels to Chatsworth in Derbyshire. This palatial home to the Dukes of Devonshire became Austen heartthrob Mr Darcy's ‘Pemberley' in a film adaptation of ‘Pride of Prejudice'. Librarian Fran Baker reveals that the 6th Duke was an Austen fan and collected first editions of all her works and head gardener Steve Porter takes David on a tour of the gardens designed to project power. In all three locations the programme explores how gardens connect us to the past, and how they have been—and continue to be—a source of inspiration. Email the programme at gardenerscorner@bbc.co.uk
Seattle's Mayor Bruce Harrell just dropped a budget that's more delusional than a Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl prediction. Despite facing a staggering $150 million deficit, he's proposing to spend hundreds of millions more on the same failed policies that turned downtown into a real-life thriller video. We're talking $350 million for "affordable" housing (that costs three-quarters of a million per unit), $225 million for homelessness programs that have increased street population by 23%, and now they need $10 million just to clean up graffiti and hire park rangers because lawlessness is so out of control that people are literally jumping stolen cars over drawbridges Dukes of Hazard style. Meanwhile, they're putting up chainlink fences around downtown alleys because that's totally solving the fentanyl zombie problem, right? Is anyone surprised that when you build a homeless industrial complex, more homeless people show up? What did they expect when there are zero consequences for crime and endless taxpayer-funded services? Don't forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell – someone needs to keep exposing this taxpayer-funded circus before your city becomes the next Seattle!
Too much freedom can be a bad thing, but not when it's us giving you several versions of The Rolling Stones' "I'm Free" from 1965. The original is a carefree song that strolls along, with a moment where the tune gets tripped up. All-American boys The Lovin' Kind. This one's organ-soaked and the chorus really explodes! Next up is an amazing soul interpretation by Wilmer & The Dukes. Just listen to it, it'll knock your socks off! We feel obliged to do The Soup Dragons hit version from 1990 but ain't no way it's getting the BDA ... We cleanse the palate with The Ar-Kaics, a retro version from 2014. No whammy in that one!
Hour 4 of BMitch & Finlay features a full preview and prediction of the Falcons vs. Commanders game.
Carl Dukes joins the show to preview the Falcons ahead of Sunday's matchup.
Todd and Rob look back at the Dukes big win at Liberty. They discuss the improved offense with a clear QB1, some standout defensive players, and look ahead to Sun Belt play. They close by contemplating how large a lead they could protect if they were forced to play QB for JMU.

Much of the conversation surrounding Game Pass and its sustainability has been about whether or not it can turn a profit. The Dukes themselves have pondered on this very subject for dozens of episodes. At this point, Game Pass is here to stay. The conversation has evolved from how much money the service makes to whether or not it dramatically impacts how games are made. At first, PlayStation alumni Shawn Layden brought attention to this subject. While well respected and incredibly knowledgable, many believed that Shawn bled a bit too much blue for their taste and that his points may be biased. That's fair to say, but what happens when many of Xbox's own start to say the same? Much of our conversation is about what Pete Hines, the former SVP of Communication and Marketing at Bethesda, had to say on Xbox's premier service. However, it's really about the fallout from it. Shannon Loftis, a Xbox lifer who spent 20+ years at the company, sang a similar tune to that of Pete and Shawn. Even MachineGames currnet studio head had thoughts on how Game Pass players dip very quickly. Even recently, Larian's own Swen Vincke had his concerns about Game Pass. Raphael Colantonio, formerly of Arkane and now at WolfEye, shared a similar sentiment. While indie and even AA have found a pocket from which they very much benefit from Game Pass, AAA is speaking out. The question remains: Are players willing to listen in the face of such value? Please keep in mind that our timestamps are approximate, and will often be slightly off due to dynamic ad placement. 0:00:00 - Intro0:17:57 - Health Is Wealth0:22:02 - Bethesda finally teases Starfield DLC0:30:16 - Wolfenstein lives on0:38:37 - Hollow Knight Silksong breaks records0:51:10 - Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth due out on Xbox in 20260:53:27 - Physical games live on for another generation?1:05:37 - Dead Island 3 on the way1:12:19 - Helldivers 3 basically confirmed1:16:05 - Resident Evil 5 Remake isn't happening1:22:44 - Old KOTOR Remake concept art leaks1:24:35 - Metal Gear Delta sells 1 million copies in 2 days1:25:22 - 2K is making a “college basketball experience” while EA bails1:34:37 - Batman Arkham Shadow is getting a sequel1:39:35 - IO Interactive finally talks about Mindseye launch1:44:20 - What We're Playing2:23:54 - Pete Hines opens up on Xbox & Bethesda3:12:04 - Xbox's Tokyo Game Show plans3:20:02 - Game Pass Pick Of The Week Learn more about your ad choices.
