The LGBT world has evolved so much over the past few years with topics such as gay marriage, transgender talks, human rights, adoption and overall acceptance that we are all one. On the heels of the interview with Diane Sawyer, Bruce Jenner publically came out as a transgender woman gaining over 30 million viewers. Daytime's "The Bold and the Beautiful" has taken on the transgender world by revealing in a shocking twist that a character is a transgender woman. Laverne Cox is leading the way with her story and Daytime Emmy win this weekend for "The T Word," a docu-series about the transgender community. Tonight, I sit down with David O'Quinn, author of "Who I Am, What I Want," to talk about his new book about transgender love along with David's very own personal story and announcement regarding this very topic. Not only is this topic important to David, but I am lucky to call David a friend. To buy David's book, be sure to click HERE and follow David on Twitter HERE.

"I am hard at work on my 3rd full length album "Pulse", and uplifting journey of love and life. I'm making an album that will touch you and inspire you and resonate with all your emotions. The album is a mixture of dance, rock, soul and world sounds... tribal beats, soaring hooks, entrancing guitars, lush strings and bubbling synths . I want this album to be a soundtrack for the passions of your life. I also hope for "Pulse" to feature several notable guests vocalists - amazing powerhouse vocalists who have touched your hearts and made your bodies move on the dance floor. I've started recorded basic tracks for the album, and I will utilize this crowd-sourcing campaign to finish the instrumentation on these recordings, and give them extra layers of dimension with live string arrangements and supporting vocals. This is my second time as executive producer on an album, and based on the success and critical acclaim of my last release "Twilight Revival", I am certain I can deliver my best material ever. With your help, we can bring this music to the world! I was raised by a single mom who always taught me to dream big. She herself had toured in the 1960's and 1970's as a belly dancer. She taught herself how to dance, how to sew, and sewed all her own costumes. She taught me how to be brave. She taught me how to love. She taught me that love could change the world... that it could move mountains! This new album "Pulse" is all about love. Falling in love, Loving yourself, Loving Life, and I can't wait to share it with you all!" - from Aris. DONATE: CLICK HERE
KELLY MANTLE is an entertainer extraordinaire. Whether she’s singing live, lip syncing & dancing, or brandishing her sardonic comedy as an emcee, her high-energy shows captivate audiences worldwide and leave them wanting more. Audiences will immediately recognize Kelly from the last season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” But this isn’t her first time on TV. Kelly has been a working actor (in and out of drag) in Hollywood for the past ten years with a list of credits longer than her legs. As a stand-up comedian and stage actor, Kelly has starred in over 50 plays in the theatre. Kelly wrote & starred in her critically-acclaimed one-person show “The Confusion Of My Illusion” which was produced at the Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Theatre at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. Kelly has a few movie credits, but wants MORE! Most recently, Kelly finished filming Confessions of a Womanizer (with Gary Busey) and American Dream (with Nick Stahl, directed by Steven Spielberg‘s Oscar-winning cinematographer, Janusz Kaminski). Both movies will be released in movie theaters this year. Kelly is also a singer, songwriter, and musician. To date, Kelly has recorded three albums which have been hailed by critics everywhere: “Ever Changing,” “Rock N Glow” and “Satellite Baby.” Kelly’s cover & video of “My Neck, My Back” has won over thousands of viewers on YouTube, including the song’s originator, Khia. Kelly grew up in Oklahoma like her uncle, the late great Mickey Mantle. (Yep…Kelly’s a switch-hitter too.) Kelly received a B.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Oklahoma. Kelly is also a graduate of Second City in Chicago.

GAREK is a New York based singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Wisconsin, he made the transition to New York in 2010. Fusing Industrial Rock (a la Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and Garbage) with haunting melodies and explosive choruses, GAREK creates a distinct sonic landscape. This Electro-Industrial hybrid, coupled with his artfully degenerate style, make him a force to be watched. GAREK’s first single “Save The Queen” has already gotten tastemakers around the globe buzzing. London’s EQ Music has hailed him as “a deity of Industrial-Electro mastery” while Australia’s DNA Magazine says, “He’s ready to rule the world!” MTV’s LOGO (NewNowNext) says, “for all [his] influences, there’s something distinctive about what Garek is doing.” “Save The Queen” and “E.T.” set the stage for GAREK’s rise as a 90s kid with a contemporary torch. You can see all of his work, purchase some prints and more at http://paulrichmondstudio.com. His latest series, War Paint, explores ideas of identity and masculinity through expressive, figurative paintings of men covering their bodies with paint. He enjoys working with models who have made important or interesting contributions to LGBT culture, and he's painted everyone from Jack Mackenroth to Perez Hilton. Many of the "gaylebrity" models were a part of his Cheesecake Boys series, a gay/male spin on classic pin-up art from the 40's and 50's. THE TIME HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED YET! Once upon a time, Sydney boy Shane Jenek tried out for Australian Idol. Not quite making the cut he wasn’t discouraged, Shane bent the rules and his gender, returning the next day as Courtney Act, and made it through to the finals. Courtney’s explosive, energetic performing style, coupled with her joyous personality, sent audiences wild and Australia had a new, slightly less conventional, sweetheart. Hot on the high heels of the TV series came the phenomenally successful national arena tour and a record deal with Sony/BMG. Over the coming years Courtney forged herself a name in the Australian entertainment industry, garnering chart hits, television appearances, and national advertising campaigns, and she toured Australia, Europe, Asia and America. She was even voted one FHM’s World’s Top 100 Sexiest Women (despite not actually being a woman), sang at Lady Gaga’s private birthday party, and opened for Gaga on her Australian club tour. She’s played the role of Angel in RENT the musical and she’s been the face of Sheer Cover makeup across the three major TV networks selling makeup to the women of Australia on morning television. She’s no Joan of Arc, but it is pretty revolutionary having a female illusionist, selling the illusion of beauty to females. In 2011 Courtney moved to the USA, on a visa titled Alien Of Extraordinary Ability, to show America and the world what she’s got! After completing a national club tour of 20 dates around North America she set up her new life in West Hollywood. Courtney has been announced as a contestant on the 6th season of Rupaul’s Drag Race which will be premiering on Viacom’s Logo Network in February 2014. For years Andy hid his raging mania under a larger-than-life personality. He sought a high wherever he could find one, and changed jobs as some people change outfits -- filmmaker, art dealer, hustler; whatever made him feel like a cartoon character, invincible and bright. Electroboy is about living life at breakneck speed. Andy hopped on flights from New York to Tokyo and Paris at a moment's notice, spent $25,000 without a bit of thought on a huge shopping spree and stayed awake nights exploring the underworld of nightlife in Manhattan or whatever city he happened to be visiting, in search of the perfect high. But when Andy turned to art forgery, he found himself the subject of a scandal lapped up by the New York media, then in jail, then under house arrest. And for once he didn't have a ready escape hatch from his unraveling life. Andy was misdiagnosed by more than eight doctors and even when he was finally diagnosed with this chronic illness, he was treated unsuccessfully with any regimen of medication. Ingesting handfuls of antidepressants and tranquilizers, he felt his mind lose traction. With no hope of his condition stabilizing, he turned to the last resort: electroshock therapy also known as electroconvulsive therapy (or ECT). Andy underwent nineteen electroshock treatments over the course of about a year and a half. Electroboy is currently being made into a major motion picture. Not only is Andy working on a sequel to Electroboy, but he is also writing a self-help book for sufferers of depression and bipolar disorder. Please visit his official website for full bio and more information: http://www.electroboy.com Andy joins us to discuss his book, his future projects, his own story and take callers who live with bipolar and depression. Feel free to call in even if it's anonymous.

Interlaced in singer-songwriter Jesse Macht’s catchy melodies are an abundance of stories overflowing with passion, vulnerability, empathy and honesty. Much like legendary songwriters before him such as Tom Petty and Neil Young, and modern day influences like Dan Wilson and Jon Brion, Jesse has proven his aptitude for storytelling. His music has been placed in many television shows and networks, as well as commercials, including The Voice, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Giuliana and Bill, Nickelodeon, Cymbalta and the MTV/E! cable catalogue. He’s also had numerous original songs placed in independent films such as James Franco’s "Good Time Max." Jesse has followed a path similar to his family of entertainers (his brother is actor Gabriel Macht, currently starring in USA’s "Suits," and father is veteran actor Stephen Macht). He has worked hard to make a musical home for himself (both as a solo artist and with his old band Burn Down the Mission) within L.A.’s well-known songwriter community with regular appearances at the Hotel Café, Room 5 and WitZend. Jesse Macht connects with his audience through reflective, conversational lyrics. While his words are dynamic and unapologetically truthful at times, he leaves room for his audience to contribute to the dialogue by using their own experiences. The new album, expected to come out in the fall of 2014, follows Jesse’s 2012 debut solo release Acts of Providence. With it, he hopes to continue to inspire his audience and encourage them to be vulnerable. "I recently had dinner with my birth parents together for the first time. Sitting between them i realized how little time I had left to really know my now 78-year old father Andrew, having grown up with my caucasian mother and barely a word spoken about him until i tracked him down at 18. 26 years later we’ve still never spoken of his childhood in China, escaping war into Korea or his missionary immigration to the US. Only a few years ago did i discover his seven marriages and splintered relationships with his eight brothers and sisters. 12 years ago my father and I made a plan to go together and he cancelled. We never spoke of it again, but now he is the only one of the family who remembers our home in China. Thirty years ago my grandfather returned to Antung and was accused of being a spy because he received money from the government, so though the world has marched forward, our distant family still lives in the same house there and in much the same way. I’ve never spent more than one night with Andrew, so it is a unique opportunity to actually document these first moments of sharing, of traveling, of healing, of becoming related. From staying in our ancestral home, learning my father’s technique in stretching noodles by hand from scratch and walking the Great Wall to studying the language and history, we’ll be discovering each other anew and making up for a childhood apart, while Andrew confronts the death of his mother and his youth spent supporting his siblings and the realities of war. We cannot move forward powerfully without understanding our past, which begins with our family. We are the architects of our future and the biggest most fulfilling journeys can begin with the simplest of questions that we never seem to ask those who we’ve known all our lives, such as ‘Who are you?”.

UNDRESSING ISRAEL: GAY MEN IN THE PROMISED LAND When many people think of Israel, it is often in terms of modern war or ancient religion. But there is much more to the Jewish state than missiles and prayers. In his debut as a documentary filmmaker, adult-film entrepreneur and political columnist Michael Lucas examines a side of Israel that is too often overlooked: its thriving gay community. Undressing Israel features interviews with a diverse range of local men, including a gay member of Israel’s parliament, a trainer who served openly in the army, a young Arab-Israeli journalist, and a pair of dads raising their kids. Lucas also visits Tel Aviv’s vibrant nightlife scene—and even attends a same-sex wedding—in this guided tour of a country that has emerged as a pioneer for gay integration and equality. Writer, Director, Actor and Producer Michael Lucas was born in Moscow, Russia, where he earned a law degree from the Moscow Law University. This raven-haired “always keepin’ it real” chick can be heard daily, dishing out the fierce humor and fast wisecracks that she has become known for. But radio is not the only place you have heard Michelle Visage, or SEEN her for that matter….. Michelle was on VH1 for 2 years hosting live coverage of such glamorous events as: The Grammy Awards, the Los Angeles premiere of Paramount’s Grease (anniversary re-release), Universal’s Blues Brothers 2000, and The Viewer’s Choice Awards to name a few. She is currently a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race on the LOGO Network which debuts it’s 3rd season in January. This glamorous firecracker finished arts high school in South Plainfield, New Jersey at 17 and headed for the Big Apple to follow her dream of becoming an actress. To pay the bills, Michelle auditioned for her first gig, fresh out of college (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy), and landed it. It was a coveted spot in the all girl group Seduction, signed to A&M records in 1990. A year later, Michelle had a platinum-selling album with Seduction called “Nothing Matters Without Love”. The album spawned 4 top 10 hits, with their gold single “Two To Make It Right” going all the way to number 2! Michelle achieved drinking age while on an 8 month national tour with Milli Vanilli (when they were selling out 60,000 seat venues). Not bad for a beginner! After Seduction ended, Michelle went back into the studio and wrote and sang the remake of Bill Withers’ “It’s Gonna Be A Lovely Day”, and the song was immediately signed to Arista Records by Clive Davis himself! The song was featured on Whitney Houston’s smash “The Bodyguard” soundtrack, which ultimately sold 35 million copies! For more on Michelle, visit http://www.michellevisage.com
Please note there's some ribald and alliterative material to follow, and while it's funny and presented humorously, it concerns a pretty serious men's health and psychology issue: size. That's right, we're taling about a hugely "small" piece of news: Breaking Glass Pictures's release of Brian Spitz's SXSW hit UNHUNG HERO on DVD. The world's first "cockumentary," it follows Patrick Moote whose marriage proposal is rejected before an arena full of people--and millions of YouTube viewers. His ex then tells him his equipment is too small to satisfy and he embarks on a quest to get to the root of man-kind's biggest--or smallest--problem. The film features Moote's worldwide travels and interviews with activists, sexperts and stars--from Dan Savage to Annie Sprinkle. Michael Moore told Moote and Spitz: "I love your film." Male or female, LGBT, straight or hanging slightly to the left or right, you will, too.
Growing up in Mission Viejo California, Ford listened to mix of R&B (Rufus and Chaka Khan, Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, the Commodores, Anita Baker, Sarah Vaughn, Smokey Robinson, Al Green) pop (Olivia Newton- John, Cyndi Lauper, Tom Tom Club, Thompson Twins) and rock (Boston, the Police, Pat Benatar, Fleetwood Mac). He also managed to find time for Manhattan Transfer. Ford’s fondness for words and melodies and singing paved the way to a young Ford participating in dinner theater revues while still in college. A short stint with Jon St. James’ production company (responsible for pop-dance hits by Stacy Q and others) in the mid-’80s provided Ford with the necessary tools to take a giant step forward. By the late-’80s, Ford had signed a production deal with the company co-owned by hit-making songwriter Denise Rich. In the early-’90s, Ford was confirmed to be the featured male vocalist on Frankie Knuckles’ second studio album, 1995’s “Welcome to the Real World.” In the end, conflicts at the label (Virgin Records) prevented this from happening, and female singer Adeva became the album’s featured singer. Virgin then offered Ford a solo album deal. Unfortunately, this album never saw the light of day. For full bio and to listen to Colton's music, please CLICK HERE

Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain processes pain signals. Symptoms sometimes begin after a physical trauma, surgery, infection or significant psychological stress. In other cases, symptoms gradually accumulate over time with no single triggering event. Women are much more likely to develop fibromyalgia than are men. Many people who have fibromyalgia also have tension headaches, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety and depression. While there is no cure for fibromyalgia, a variety of medications can help control symptoms. Exercise, relaxation and stress-reduction measures also may help.
