AAUK Podcast - Phones Tech and TV

A few more bits of hardware came my way in the last few weeks, the Poco X3 NFC and Pixel 4a further add to my argument that the midrange is the place to be at the moment, which Google rather backed with their announcement of the Pixel 5 during their questionable LaunchNightIn event last week.

Aplogies for the less than brilliant audio, but this episode was recorded as a YouTube video too. I discuss my decision around my daily, the Pixel 4 over the OnePlus 8 Pro, even after the recent Android 11 beta bringing Always On Display to the OnePlus 8 Pro and then why I'm moving back to the Pixel Buds 2020 rather than the Jabra Elite Active 75t earbuds. Then we move on to movie chat as I've been watching quite a few in the last week or so!

I start off talking about some earbuds you might use to listen to podcasts, the new 2020 Google Pixel Buds and the Jabra Elite Active 75T's. Then I move onto some other podcasts I listen to and would recommend, covering a variety of topics and subjects, from Community, through tech to cycling and nutrition.

I test two Xiaomi devices, both in the £400 region, both really very good! The Mi Note 10 and the Poco F2 Pro, the follow on from perhaps the most hyped phone ever, the Pocophone F1. Then, of course, I've been watching lots of TV like Travelers, Ozark and much more!

Finally some hardware again! I've possibly changed my daily device as I take the OnePlus 8 Pro for a test ride. Then, believe it or not, I run an iOS device as my daily for a week as I try the iPhone SE 2020, and it really isn't too bad!

We're all looking for things to do to keep us busy while we're confined to our homes, so here's a handful of TV shows and a whole bunch of movies I've been watching over the last month!

Not many tech videos so far in 2020, but I have watched a lot of TV and movies over the last month, so lets talk a little about those!

I've set myself some new resolutions, or targets, for 2020, what about you? A couple of new budget Android phones and a new budget drone. Throw in some new TV shows and you got yourself episode 27!

I've been busy making video's with the main focus being my new daily the Pixel 4. Many people are hating on it, but I find it to be a fantastic device to use and yes, the battery is just fine for me! I've also been watching lots of movies and TV with things like Gemini Man, Joker and The Man In The High Castle being talked about.

Android 10 is out on a few devices, I've got a decent Android Tablet made by Huawei, Google turns 21 and it's time for your to take a look at your online security and two factor authentication.

Quite a lot has changed behind the scenes in my video production for my YouTube channel over the past weeks. I have a new video camera, new video editing software, finally splashing out for Adobe Premiere Pro and now I'm testing new microphones to use to! I've also been playing with a couple of great budget range smartphones you should consider, the Xiaomi Mi A3 and the Google Pixel 3a

This month I tried the Redmi K20 Pro by Xiaomi and was surpised by how much I liked it. MIUI is actually getting quite good! There's another Pixel 4 leak which is making me want the device and there's also been some great TV recently to talk about.

I've got a new Action Camera and it's not a GoPro! The DJI Osmo Action is really quite impressive and should have GoPro a little worried. I'm still loosing weight and have some more tech to help me. The Pixel 4 has been leaked already... and confirmed by Google! Quite a bit of TV and Movie talk too, The Night Manager, Chernobyl and Good Omens.

Huawei are getting in trouble with the US Government, is it bad news for all us Huawei owners? I might be on to a new daily device with the OnePlus 7 Pro. Avengers and Game of Thrones have wrapped things up, how well did they do it?

Not all that much tech to talk about if I'm honest, but I've been getting back into shape and that's been a good excuse to buy some rather different tech. We're also on the verge of some great TV and Movie to watch!

I'm well into Apex Legends in a big way, even got myself a new Logitech G903 mouse to play it with. But mainly this episode is about all the different TV shows I've been watching over the last 2 or 3 months, as well as Captain Marvell at the cinema!

Samsung just announced their new Galaxy S10, but I'm more interested in the Samsung Galaxy Fold, their high priced foldable Android Device. Lets go through the specs of all the devices though. I have also upgraded my MacBook and my desktop PC!

Lots of tech to talk about including some watches, some home tech and the Honor 8X. Red Dead Redemption is great, but I'm boted of it already. Narcos Mexico matches up to it's original series and The Expanse is must watch TV.

I'm still very busy, in fact in this podcast I have several phones to discuss including the Pocophone F1, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the Pixel 3 XL, the OnePlus 6T and the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite! Then, I've been playing with new headphones, all wireless, some Noise cancelling, some for gaming. Lots to talk about!

I've been very busy on my YouTube channel, but have stopped to tell you about the Note 9 and other tech I've been playing with. I also have some social media news to let you all know.

I've reviewed the Alcatel V3, Nokia 5 and Xperia XZ2 in the last month, hear some thoughts on them in this show. Pixel Buds are on offer in the Google Store too, so I thought I'd give them a go. Also, we have leaks about the Pixel 3 XL and some Note9 news that might surprise you!

It's been a while since my last podcast, in that time we've had the World Cup, in 4K on the BBC, I've reviewed the Moto G6 and Jabra's Elite 45e Headphones and ManicTime on Windows, which tracks everything you do!

Sennheiser and Plantronics sent me headphones to review. I moved up to 4K with both Sony and Samsung TV's, the Sony having Android TV and me and my mates have got into Playstation 4!

The big news this week is Google I/O and the release of Android P Beta to 11 devices. I talk through some of what went on at Google I/O including Android P, a large Google Maps update coming soon and improvements to Google Lens as well as the spookey awesomeness of Google Duplex demo'd through Google Assistant.

I've got a Redmi 5 Plus, it's certainly a lot of phone for £130! I've been playing with more GPS trackers and trying a new budget 4K action camera. I also went to see Avengers: Infinity War, but don't worry, no spoilers here!

I'm looking for a new Graphics Card, but prices have rocketed. I'm playing the free to play Ireonsight. I have new monitors which made me go get an eye test and there's lots of my favourite TV shows back.

The developer preview of Android P has just been released, so I talk through some of the changes. I then try and justify why I as a massive Android fanbois I have purchased a MacBook Air!

I go through the information we have on the Samsung Galaxy S9 and give my thoughts. I've watched Wonder Woman and Baby Driver this week, along with Weeds on Netflix.

The new Samsung Galaxy S9 is on it's way and it's phone plan upgrade time for me. Broken tech can't be reviewed. Altered Carbon is my TV of the month and I went to see Black Panther last night!

I got a new keyboard for my birthday, set up the Raspberry Pi3 and am still playing PUBG. YouTube also brought in new rules removing monetisation from many channels.

I take a look back at my YouTube channel over the past year and talk through my experience in learning to code in 2017.

Not so much tech to talk about, but I've been playing lots of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, so hear a little about that. I've been testing a new dashcam and UK Mail have let me down again.

It's been Thanksgiving this week and that can mean only one thing... sales! I bought some new Bluetooth earbuds and an air frier! I also bought Destiny 2, but haven't had too much time to play it yet. In TV I give you a couple of recommendations of shows you probably haven't hear about before.

I finally have my Pixel 2 XL, despite UK Mails best efforts to hide it from me. The Razer phone is available to order in the UK. Elon Musk has announcements about his new truck and roadster and I'm watching The Deuce and The Punisher this week.
