Google Play se transformaMás entretenimiento, juegos y ayuda con inteligencia artificial en un solo lugar  Por Félix Riaño @LocutorCo  Google Play lanza un espacio de entretenimiento con K-pop, webtoons, dramas y películas, además de Sidekick con Gemini para juegos.  Google Play está cambiando de ser una tienda de aplicaciones a un lugar mucho más completo. Desde Corea del Sur arranca una nueva etapa llamada Entertainment Space, un espacio que reúne contenidos de K-pop, webtoons, series y películas. Pero lo más sorprendente no es solo el entretenimiento: también llega Sidekick, una función con inteligencia artificial de Gemini que te ayuda en tiempo real mientras juegas. A esto se suma la pestaña You, que organiza tus logros, recompensas y recomendaciones en un solo sitio. ¿Será este el comienzo de un Google Play diseñado para acompañarnos en todo momento, y no únicamente para instalar aplicaciones?  Ya no es solo una tienda: ahora es compañía  Google Play, la tienda de apps más usada en Android, acaba de recibir su mayor actualización en años. Lo primero es el Entertainment Space, lanzado en Corea. Ahí, los usuarios pueden descubrir webtoons de Naver o Kakao, dramas de plataformas como TVing o Coupang Play y música de K-pop con contenido exclusivo. Incluso hay beneficios para fans de grupos como Seventeen, que celebra su aniversario con entradas y videos detrás de cámaras. La idea es que no tengas que saltar de app en app, porque el acceso a estas muestras y enlaces está integrado en la pantalla principal de Google Play. Con esto, Google apuesta por la cultura coreana como motor de crecimiento global.  El cambio trae preguntas importantes. Para empezar, ¿cómo se diferenciará Google Play de otras plataformas de streaming u ocio? Al ofrecer acceso directo a webtoons, películas y K-pop, algunos se preguntan si los usuarios no acabarán confundidos entre tantas ventanas de contenido. Además, las alianzas con empresas locales como Naver o Netmarble muestran que Google confía en Corea como laboratorio de pruebas. Pero ¿qué pasa con el resto del mundo? La mayoría aún no tiene este Entertainment Space, y las fechas de expansión serán progresivas. A esto se suma un reto técnico: la función Sidekick con Gemini competirá con los modos de juego propios de marcas como Vivo, Oppo o OnePlus, que ya muestran notificaciones durante el juego. ¿Aceptará la gente tener dos superposiciones en su pantalla?  ara responder a esas dudas, Google plantea una estrategia clara: integrar todo en la nueva pestaña You. Ahí, cada persona verá sus logros, estadísticas, recompensas, suscripciones y hasta un avatar creado con inteligencia artificial. Este perfil se aplicará tanto en móvil como en PC gracias a Google Play Games, que sale de beta con más de 200 000 títulos. También llegarán ligas competitivas, como la de Subway Surfers del 10 al 23 de octubre, donde los jugadores podrán ganar Play Points. Y el Sidekick, aunque tendrá una llegada gradual, promete algo innovador: recibir consejos de Gemini en vivo durante las partidas, sin tener que buscar tutoriales en YouTube. El objetivo es lograr que todo, desde juegos hasta libros o pódcasts, se encuentre en un solo lugar personalizado.  El concepto de “espacios temáticos” en Google Play no es nuevo. En India ya existe un hub de cricket, y en Japón funciona un espacio de cómics que reúne a casi un millón de usuarios. Ahora la apuesta es global y abarca también momentos estacionales: la sección superior de Google Play mostrará temas como Halloween o los playoffs de la WNBA con contenidos seleccionados. Además, la búsqueda guiada con inteligencia artificial permitirá pedir apps escribiendo frases naturales como “juegos de cartas” o “comprar una casa”. Y no hay que olvidar la seguridad: Google promete reforzar las defensas contra amenazas con inteligencia artificial, además de mejorar las herramientas para desarrolladores. Todo este rediseño busca que Google Play no dependa solo de descargas, sino que se convierta en el centro de la experiencia digital diaria.  Google Play ya no quiere ser visto solo como una tienda, sino como un espacio de entretenimiento, juegos y personalización con inteligencia artificial. App: Homey-apps. De community achter Homey is zo goed, ik heb laatst eindelijk mijn airco’s aangesloten op wifi en de bijbehorende app is vreselijk traag. Er zijn maar weinig airco’s die direct schakelen met HomeKit, maar voor Homey is er wel een app, gewoon gemaakt door een Nederlander uit de community, Edwin van de Pol. Die app kan veel sneller schakelen met mijn airco’s dan de officiële app, en werkt ook met Siri Shortcuts.
