Originally from both St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri (bicoastal), David Wester is a filmmaker, editor, composer, and performer. He was the creator and host of Dave's Basement, an online video variety show that ran for two ill defined "seasons" during the lockdown of 2020 (it's ok to say the show was 'beloved'). Central to his work is wrestling with the unpredictability of the body, the slipperiness of identity, and the deliciousness of fried chicken and other foods. Currently he's working his day job as a video editor for Hijinx Agency and developing plans for a new "online concern" in 2023 (and there will be a brand new episode of Dave's Basement on April 2nd, 2023). Feel free to jump in on the Dave's Basement discord channel where sometimes he watches movies and episodes of Miami vice but mostly it's just Dave venting his spleen.
