What's an Asian Fail? Getting a B in a class is an Asian Fail. If you can't get the top grade or be judged the best, you've failed. Hear stories from some Asian people who did not become doctors or lawyers! (OK, maybe a couple of doctors). Some might have predicted they'd be an Asian Fail, but they succeeded in spite of all that. Listen to interviews with Asians who dared to go into the creative arts, tv/movie reviews, and whatnot.

Kristina Wong is a comedian, writer and performance artist who grew up in San Francisco and is now based in LA. She just completed a month long run at LA's Center Theatre Group with her show, Kristina Wong for Public Office, based on her experience being an elected representative of Koreatown. She also started the Auntie Sewing Squad at the beginning of the pandemic to make masks for health care workers, and now for underserved populations. That experience spawned a documentary in the making and a book deal. If you can, donate or make some masks and spread the protection instead of infection. Kung Flu got ya down? What about the China Virus? Just when we thought we could live our lives and mind our own business, pandemic race baiting has singled Asians out as the scapegoat du jour. I discuss this issue with Dr. Grace Chen, a psychologist, along with the Model Minority myth, balancing life between two cultures, the resistance to getting mental health help, and specific issues that confront Asian American women.
