Welcome back sis! Last week we discussed getting unstuck in order to walk out your vision. This week we chat with Nicole M. Clarendon a visionary that created her own SAT Prep school for children in Jamaica; her home town. She also teaches executing vision boards so that they are intentional to your purpose. Episode Highlights: The purpose of creating intentional vision boards. Write out the vision. Make it plain. It’s something about words on paper opposed to photos that make it come to life. You write what’s in you and therefore it’s something you were born with. That’s not something you just made up. Add photos for the visualization. Don’t limit yourself to magazine photos but really google search those that fit your vision. Announcements are your friend. Announce it to the world when you ‘re right at that moment between fear and I can actually do this. It’s a way to hold you accountable. Executing Purpose Scripture Reference: Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time Habakkuk 2:2-3 Quotes: I wanted to leave a legacy behind for my kids and vision boards changed the game in order for me to do that. Prayer: Heavenly Father, For every person trying to visualize their purpose give them insight and clarity to execute the vision. Guide our steps and open doors for those we need to connect with in our walk towards greatness for the kingdom. We thank you. We honor you. In Jesus name, Amen
Welcome back balanced babes! Last week we discussed speaking in to your vision and this week we are discussing getting unstuck in order to birth that vision. As mentioned last week please be sure to check out the new site, share, and give. Today’s episode is with Ariel (Affectionately known as El) Davis. She is a Christian speaker and life coach who is motivated to spread the word of God. She is a Dallas native who currently lives in both Texas and Los Angelos. She is area director of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and co-founder of The Journey Retreats where she provides transforming destination retreats for women. Welcome EL to BalancHER podcast! El tells us a little about her story and how she was stuck. When I think of people being stuck I think about the people of Moses who walked around for forty years just to reach their destination. Obviously God could have directed them straight to where they needed to go but instead he took them the round about way because mentally they were still enslaved although physically they had been freed. And the question becomes why didn’t the people feel free to push forward? I believe like us today it was due to fear of the unknown, to try something new, or go in to uncharted territory. Episode Highlights: Defining what “stuck” look like i.e. disobedience, negotiating with God, doing it on a smaller scale to stay in the safe zone. How to get unstuck: Scripture References: Numbers 10:11-12, 33-34 Exodus 3:17 What’s Next? Today’s episode is with Richshundra of Realish Cosmetics and The Resilent and Real Podcast. I met Richshundra at an event and she just has this loving yet no nonsense type of energy about her. And I loveee people like that. I felt she would have a lot of value to give you all today. She’s also strikingly beautiful which one could say oh that’s why she’s so successful. She has the beauty and the beauty products but we are here to challenge that theory because running her business requires much more than just a pretty face. Episode Highlights: Purpose is tied to bringing souls to the Kingdom. When in doubt always remember that’s the end game. Your purpose should be used as a gateway to introduce other’s to Christ.Purpose is not always tied to ministry. You can fulfill God’s purpose for your life with other business venturesAvoiding comparison syndrome while walking in your purpose is necessary to fulfill it. You will never get all the answers waiting… just start. Starting is half the battle. Scripture References: Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting: but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Hey Sis! Today’s episode is with Ashley Robbins of God Within Her Ministries regarding 3 ways to hear God’s voice for your vision. Ashley and I met via instagram and I knew she would drop some great nuggets along the way. In the busy world we live in it can be hard to hear God’s voice. We go in depth to 3 ways you can discern God’s voice. We touch on this lightly in Episode 2. Snippet of Episode: Ashley tells her testimony of how she began God Within Her Ministries: It was definitely one of those least expected moments. It was not something that I was pursuing or trying to make happen. I was just spending time worshiping the Lord, thanking the Lord. And as I was doing that, the Lord just spoke to my heart that he wanted me to begin writing Bible studies and devotionals for women. In implementing the vision she learned to askedAnd so he, he gave me the vision for it. And with the vision, I just said, Lord, how do you, how do you want me to go about this? Um, what do you want me to do? And so with that he gave me the plan. So I’ve learned that sometimes when the Lord gives us a vision, it’s not always for the right now. So Habakkuk 2:3 says sometimes the vision will tarry but wait for it and expect it to come to pass. But then there are times in our lives where division is for right now. And so in those moments it typically comes with a plan and so he will give us the plan. And so that’s how I needed to go ahead and begin to run with the vision. He dropped the plan in my heart of who to begin to offer the Bible study in the end, the devotionals too. And so I did that… Tune in For the Rest on BalancHER Podcast. Scriptures Referenced in podcast: For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it will certainly come and will not delay.Habakkuk 23 Connect with guest speaker: Ashley Robbins You can connect with Ashley at God Within Her Ministries Instagram and Facebook. —
Sis! Welcome back. This week I sit down with Fearless Millennial visionary Jeannette King. We converse about the attacks the enemy brings when walking in purpose and how to overcome them. Key Points: The cost of purpose.Preparation for your purposeBeing proactive in protecting your purpose. The importance of prayer to fight off the enemy’s attacks.
5 Reasons Why The Vision Fails In this Episode: Sis, I really think you will get a lot from this episode about why the vision we see for ourselves fails. We break down 5 reasons why many aren’t fulfilling their purpose. Although I am sure we can think of more these 5 stood out to me to the most: It wasn’t the vision meant for you. It was the vision you chose for yourself. You have fear of oneself and the fear of others. You have no follow through or consistency. You’re unprepared. Your circle. Many of us are walking through life in fear and can’t get out of our own heads. I share with you my struggles and hopefully ways you can overcome yours to get back on path to your destination. Quotes: “Your circle is the people that pray for you”. “Yes you are flawed. Yes you have past. But what does that have to do with God being able to use you”. “Whether you’re doing the right thing or the wrong thing they gone talk”. “Not only do we allow others to define us by our past we also define ourselves by our past”. Bible Scripture References: The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? ~Jeremiah 17:9 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? ~ II Corinthians 6:14 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” ~ I Corinthians 15:33
Hey Sis, I’m your host with LaShundra Smith. Welcome to BalancHer Faith podcast. Each week we balance life together through God’s word interviews and our testimonies. You may cry, you may laugh, possibly even both. All I can promise you is that each show won’t be the same, but it will always be real. Tell your girls to tune in, subscribe, and don’t forget to leave a review. As I mentioned in the introduction we are going to be discussing vision. Vision is defined in Webster’s dictionary as the act, our power of seeing. To me, that’s the world’s definition. A spiritual vision is not seen with the natural eye. I go so far as to say it’s actually defined as how you would define faith, believing in what you do not see because when God gives you a vision, it’s not like you see step by step instructions. Most times you don’t even know what the steps are. You’re blindly following God, but the differences that you have, someone leading you that already knows the end game, so it’s really not blind is it? There is power in having a vision. Without vision, you have no direction, no compass, nowhere to go. You’re just facing life at a stand still. The Bible says where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained. Proverbs 29 18 unrestrained, meaning you’re all over the place. How many of us go through life feeling unfulfilled? That’s because you have no vision. You have no purpose. That’s that empty feeling. You can’t escape or really explain. No matter what you try to replace it with, your life is just a routine series of events days just passing you by. Therefore, you have to have a vision. Vision gives you focus. Many times that focuses is off because our focus is not on the priority, which is God. Vision isn’t the images I see. It’s what we feed our spirit, which in turn translates what’s in the heart. Many years ago, I know God called me to speak to women, but I was too selfish. I was too bitter, too broken to speak to anyone about God’s goodness. I knew of him, but I didn’t trust him. I didn’t trust him with the very gifts he gave me. I didn’t trust him to see it through. I didn’t want to go through the tests because see, I knew if I said yes, the devil was coming, and to be honest, with all the turmoil I had in my life, I was like, ah, I’m just not here for it. So I would start but never finish because he was still a parttime God to me. He was my ATM, my Superman in times of trouble, my savior when I needed saving. So although my purpose was clear, how to fulfill the vision was not, see you only glimpse from God when he’s your part-time God. But when he becomes a priority in your life, direction, strategy and steps become clear. The more you tap into him, the more vision aligns with his. And we know that when we allow what God, whatever we do will be the tutorials. There are no options. When God is in control, even when it looks like all hope is lost. Even in the midnight hour, he will come and straighten that thing out. We can just look at Moses. The scripture says, for six days the cloud covered the mountain. And on the seventh day, the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud. So the Israelites, the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire. Let’s pause right there for a second. When Moses saw the mountain, he saw God calling to him. When the Israelites looked, they saw fire. If you see fire, you’re not walking in, right? You’re going in the other direction. It’s no different. When God gives you a vision, others may see danger. They don’t want to know how it doesn’t make sense, but to you, the vision makes perfect sense. If you don’t know how it’s going to turn out, you know it’s the vision that God gave you, but it just won’t make sense to anyone else because the vision
