Send us Fan MailTreatment Website:https://ambio.life/Documentary: https://www.inwavesandwarfilm.com/A lot of people talk about PTSD like it's only flashbacks and bad dreams. Bill describes something darker and quieter: sitting in church, worshiping, and still getting hit with suicidal ideation so loud it feels like a command. He's a professional counselor who works mostly with veterans, and he's also a pastor, which makes his story even harder to ignore. He knows the clinical language, the coping patterns, and the church expectations and he admits what it's like to keep it together at work while falling apart at home. The conversation turns when Bill sees a friend return from Mexico after a medically supervised psychedelic-assisted treatment for PTSD and substance use. That friend looks different: sober, steadier, and more alive. Bill takes us through the questions Christians ask about mind-altering substances, the scriptures he wrestles with, and why “controlled treatment” isn't the same thing as self-medicating. He also talks about spiritual preparation, prayer, and staying grounded in faith inside a space that often mixes New Age ceremony, breathwork, and alternative healing language. From screening, EKGs, and medication restrictions to sweat lodges, ibogaine, and 5-MeO-DMT, Bill breaks down what the process actually looks like and what it cost him emotionally. He shares the trauma that surfaced, the way control kept showing up as the real battle, and the moment he felt God push him to stop hiding who he is. On the other side, he reports concrete changes: no suicidal ideation, better sleep, fewer intrusive images, less anger, and a renewed daily routine that protects his marriage and his mind. “Audio is non-negotiable. If it's hard to listen to, people won't stay.”I did a full podcast audit for Christopher Welsh, the host of a brand new philosophy podcast. I love doing audit episodes because they reveal things that most podcasters simply cannot hear themselves. What stood out to me in this episode was the ambition. There was real creativity, strong storytelling, and a clear desire to make something different. But it was also a perfect example of why the fundamentals matter more than creativity at the start. We talked about audio issues that can instantly turn listeners away, why leaving your niche too early can confuse your audience, and how branding, structure, and consistency all shape the listening experience. This was one of those episodes where the lessons apply to almost every podcaster, especially if you are just getting started.Key Talking PointsWhy audio quality is still the fastest way to lose a listenerHow creating in a vacuum makes it hard to hear your own mistakesThe risk of stepping outside your niche too earlyWhy inconsistent artwork and metadata hurt your podcast more than you thinkHow simple structure builds trust with new listenersChapters & Timestamps00:00 – The importance of first impressions in podcasting04:15 – Why podcast audits reveal what you cannot hear yourself08:40 – Audio mistakes that push listeners away15:10 – Niche clarity and why episode three is too early to experiment22:30 – Artwork, titles, and metadata consistency30:05 – Structure, trust, and aiming for 1% better every episodeSend a textEmail me (niall@sevenmillionbikes.com) or contact me on Seven Million Bikes Podcasts Facebook or Instagram to book your free Podcast Audit! Thanks to James Mastroianni from The Wrong Side Of Hollywood for the endorsement! Modern dating isn't just “cute kilig stories” anymore. It's ghosting, orbiting, love bombing, FUBU, dating apps, and a whole generation trying to heal childhood wounds through romantic partners. Twins Danah and Stacy Gutierrez unpack how media, MTV dating shows, hypersexual culture, and social media shaped the way they dated: from FUBU “situationships” and toxic patterns, to attachment styles, daddy issues, and why so many women settle for low-quality love just to feel chosen. They talk about: * How MTV, reality dating shows, and K-culture shaped their early views on love and sex * Why so many relationships now start with sex and end in confusion * Attachment styles, childhood wounds, and why you keep chasing emotionally unavailable people * Dating apps, ego boosts, and why “options” can destroy real connection * What healthy dating should look like: emotional safety, shared values, and building instead of performing This isn't a glamorization of their past, but a reckoning with it. If you've ever stayed with the wrong person just to feel seen, or molded yourself to fit a man's preference, this conversation is for you. Come for the chismis, stay for the uncomfortable truth, and maybe walk away with a little more clarity about why you date the way you do.
In this lesson, we'll study how native speakers really talk in podcasts. You'll hear natural speech patterns, filler words, and rhetorical questions — all while improving your listening skills!

Send us a textSome stories don't fade; they get reclaimed. We sit down with Earl and Angie for a deeply honest journey through trauma, addiction, and the kind of recovery that stands up in the real world—courtrooms, crowded rooms, and late-night panic alike. Their message is simple and strong: addiction is an outward symptom of an inward wound, and freedom begins when you stop reacting, start responding, and let a real community walk with you.Angie shares how meth offered a counterfeit peace that silenced the noise of unspoken abuse—until a faith-based recovery program, therapy, and character work gave her a new voice and a sealed record. Earl opens up about coping with pain through alcohol and the moment he traded performance for peace. Together, they teach practical tools you can use today: breathing and grounding for anxiety, identifying triggers, replacing reaction with response, and changing the language you use about your life. We also explore why the opposite of addiction is community, why vulnerability beats isolation, and how boundaries can love people better than enabling ever could. For church leaders and volunteers, we get specific about what real help looks like: ask better questions, stock Narcan, set clear boundaries, create safe spaces, and build referral pathways to programs, housing, and jobs. For anyone in the fight, you'll hear a repeatable plan: ID your triggers, choose your response, change your environment, and keep showing up. We also talk legacy—how reclamation means recovering what past generations missed and passing on peace, not chaos, to the people coming after us.If you found value in this conversation, subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs hope today. What would happen if your faith was put on trial? Would there be enough evidence to convict you of truly loving God? This thought-provoking episode challenges believers to examine the authenticity of their relationship with Christ beyond mere words or social media declarations. We often focus on how much God loves us – rightfully emphasizing John 3:16 and the sacrifice of Christ – but rarely turn the question around to ask ourselves: do we genuinely love God? And if so, what tangible evidence exists in our daily lives that would prove this love?Jesus stated it plainly: "If you love me, obey my commandments." This simple yet profound statement reveals that love isn't measured by feelings or declarations but through obedience. Many believers today fill churches without demonstrating this love through transformed lives. They resist challenges to live differently, approaching faith as a spectator sport rather than a life-changing relationship. The podcast offers five practical ways to demonstrate authentic love for God: prioritizing Him daily, choosing Him over convenience, serving His people (even when you don't feel like it), living with an eternal focus, and staying faithful during difficult seasons. Anyone can praise God when life is good, but love is proven in the fire – when prayers seem unanswered and challenges persist.Whether you're struggling with complacency in your faith or seeking to deepen your relationship with God, this message will challenge you to move beyond casual Christianity and embrace a faith that transforms every aspect of your life. What parts of your life are you still holding back? What might God be asking you to surrender today?Support the show

Can the trials and tribulations of daily life be a stepping stone towards a deeper faith journey? We explore this profound question with insights from Philippians 1:12-14, sharing personal stories from my life with my 16-year-old and 16-month-old children. Their unique challenges remind us of how every stage of life can test our patience and perspective, and how emotions like anger can be managed wisely for personal and spiritual growth.Listeners are invited to consider the alignment between their lifestyle choices and their spiritual values. By reflecting on my own decision to exclusively listen to Christian music, I encourage a conversation on how our entertainment choices can impact our faith. It's an invitation to evaluate the habits and influences we hold onto, and a call for a deeper relationship with God through consistent spiritual growth and letting go of past attachments.Through the biblical narratives of Paul and Joseph, we underscore the transformative power of perspective. Even in imprisonment, Paul saw opportunities to spread the gospel, and Joseph's trials brought him closer to his divine purpose. We emphasize trusting God's timing and using our challenges as testimonies of faith. By shifting our perspective, we can turn obstacles into opportunities for growth, recognizing that our trials may be steps toward fulfilling our divine calling.Support the show
Can alcohol be part of a Christian's life, or does faith ask us to abstain entirely? Join me as I unravel this age-old question through the lens of my own journey with alcoholism, shedding light on how self-control—a fruit of the Spirit—has become my guiding principle. We take a hard look at Ephesians 5:18, where the Apostle Paul cautions against drunkenness and its potential to lead lives astray. Our discussion navigates the varied perspectives within Christianity, from complete abstinence to moderation, and explores why I've chosen the former. Ever wondered how a fisherman named Simon became one of the most influential figures in the early Christian church? By exploring the remarkable journey of Peter, we uncover profound lessons on faith, failures, and the role of the Holy Spirit in personal transformation. This episode shares insights from Peter's life, from his moments of denial to his ultimate redemption, offering a powerful narrative on embracing one's shortcomings as stepping stones toward growth. Listeners are invited to reflect on how their environment and the people around them can shape their paths, urging a pursuit of divine purpose over societal expectations. We then navigate the delicate terrain of accountability and forgiveness within a faith-based context. Through Peter's story of denial and the parallel tale of King David, we address the universal nature of human error and the potential for redemption that accountability offers. These narratives remind us that failure is not a dead end but an opportunity for spiritual and personal development. Our conversation highlights how embracing one's flaws and extending compassion to oneself and others can foster growth, encouraging a mindset that views setbacks as pivotal moments for learning and renewal. Finally, we witness the transformative power of grace in the restoration of Peter. When Jesus asked Peter three times if he loved Him, it wasn't just a moment of confrontation but an invitation to reclaim purpose. This episode emphasizes that forgiveness is not passive; it requires action and a commitment to living out one's restored purpose. We share personal stories of unexpected blessings, balancing family, business, and leadership, illustrating how our weaknesses can become strengths when aligned with divine calling. With faith guiding our paths, listeners are encouraged to trust in their God-given potential, embracing both strengths and weaknesses in their journey.Support the show
