These are typically sermons and talks I'm able to give around in churches, youth groups, and other groups.
This is my sermon on the first few kings after King Solomon died. Of course, you get a little communion devotional in this one before-hand.
As Jeroboam and Rehoboam figure out how they are going to be kings, they soon discover that they have to share a split kingdom. Ten tribes in the north, ruled by Jeroboam, continue on the trajectory set up by Solomon and his 700+ pagan temples.
With Solomon, the 'wisest' king of Israel out of the way, the stage is set for David's dynasty to live on...sort of. If only these guys could keep to the Lord's ways.
In this sermon, we finish off Solomon. It's pretty horrible how it ended for him, and I don't think we draw enough attention to it.
We can't talk about Solomon and the reign of kings without spending some time on Solomon's temple. There is a lot of cool stuff in here.
This is my sermon about how the Holy Spirit shows up in the Old Testament and what that means for the New Testament.
This is my sermon on Jesus' last words after He rose from the dead. It's the great commission!

After Jesus talked to Nicodemus and the Pharisees, He went into Samaria to talk to the near-Gentiles.
This is my sermon about the Pharisees. I'm going through all of the people that Jesus met and interacted with. It's easy to think of them as the bad guys of the Bible, but that is way to simple.
This is my sermon on the 12 -- err 14 -- apostles.
Here is my sermon from Christmas 2023! God wants to be with us!

This is my sermon on Zechariah and Elizabeth and the coming of John the Baptist.
This is my sermon on some of the key judges mentioned in the book of Judges. I didn't want to give a whole Sunday to Samson.

This is my first week of talking about David and Bathsheba from 2 Samuel 12
It's the end of the world in 2 Thesalonians 2!
Communion and Ephesians 1:1-18 by Dan Sullivan
This is a sermon on Ephesians 1:11-22, which is just one sentence in the original!
This is a really old sermon of mine that I found from 2016 on Colossians 3
Here is my sermon on John 19. What is unusual about this is that usually I would preach on the passion and crucifixion on Easter, but since I'm doing expository preaching chapter by chapter through John, we have Easter in February! Pilate, Jesus, the Jewish leaders of the day, I talk about a lot of things in here. Enjoy, and share any feedback or comments on your own blog or Facebook.
This is it! This is my last sermon on this whole long series on King David. He finally dies and Solomon ties up all of the loose ends he asked him to tend to.
This is my sermon on 2 Samuel 14 and Absalom's rise to power. I also talk about how the sin against Uriah and Bathsheba became such a turning point in the entire kingdom of Israel.
I'm wrapping up our summer in 1 and 2 Samuel by finishing off King David all of the way. This sermon is from 1 Kings chapter 1 where David is finishing up things left undone and declaring his successor.
This is my sermon on 2 Samuel 24, the end of the book of Samuel! It's a great way to show that the temple and God's kingdom is all established on God's mercy.
This is my sermon on 2 Samuel 22, where David sings a Psalm that also shows up as Psalm 18.
This is my sermon on 2 Samuel 21, some of the wrap-up at the end of the life of King David.
I found this old sermon on Ephesians 5 in the archives. From July of 2018.

This is my sermon on 2 Samuel. It's a good one. All kinds of action in here.
This is my sermon on 2 Samuel 2. David rises to power as the king over Judah, but not yet the King of Israel.
