Preacher: Michael Foster, Text: Mark 13:14-23
Pastor Kurt takes a deep dive into Matthew 9:1-13 where Jesus shows His authority not only to heal bodies, but to forgive sins and transform lives. By healing the paralytic, calling Matthew, and eating with sinners, He reveals that He came for the spiritually sick, not the self-righteous. The passage highlights both the power of Christ to pardon and the mercy of Christ to pursue those society overlooks.

(This podcast was previously published on August 31, 2024) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... The important thing for each of us is not so much "when" Jesus comes, the day and such, but that which is important for each human is staying ready for the coming of Jesus. God has clearly shown us the following: 2 Peter 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless. Luke 21:33-36 Jesus says: Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away. 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (over indulgence), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Why did Jesus regularly call Himself the "Son of Man?" It wasn't a humble expression of His humanity. Today, R.C. Sproul explores what this exalted title reveals about the identity of Christ. Daniel 7 records one of the most dramatic visions in Scripture. In it, the prophet Daniel sees the Ancient of Days seated on a heavenly throne while “one like the Son of Man” approaches Him and receives an everlasting kingdom. This passage raises an important theological question: Does this vision reveal two distinct divine persons, or is it portraying something else?In this episode of Apostolic Life in the 21st Century, Dr. David K. Bernard examines Daniel 7:9-28 and addresses a common challenge raised against Oneness theology. He explores the identities of the Ancient of Days and the Son of Man and discusses whether Daniel's vision teaches the preexistence of the Son as a separate divine person. Along the way, Dr. Bernard considers what Daniel's prophecy reveals about the Messiah, the Incarnation, and the relationship between Jesus Christ and the Father.Whether you are studying the Godhead, exploring the differences between Trinitarian and Oneness theology, or seeking a deeper understanding of one of Scripture's most fascinating prophetic visions, this episode offers a thoughtful examination of a frequently debated passage.Apostolic Life in the 21st Century with Dr. David K. John 3:9-15 Nicodemus (and the Pharisees) don't understand "earthly things." They don't receive "their" testimony; they don't believe. What will Jesus do now? Jesus pulls a telling (and compelling) example of the basis (foundation) of new birth from Numbers 21 for Nicodemus's consideration...

Have a full life? "Son of Man"? Ireland and Texas situations: OJ flashback. "Mama" father vs real love.
Luke 3:21-38 will switch our focus from John the Baptist to Jesus. This passage will show us that Jesus is both the Son of God (fully God) and the Son of Man (fully human). Since Jesus is the Son of God, He will one day bring God's judgment because He pleases His Heavenly Father. Since He is the Son of Man, He can understand what we go through.

In this bible study we explore a prophetic vision that Daniel had which revealed a mystery. While Daniel sis not dully understand it, we get the benefit of understanding it looking backward. We see a picture of God that also helps us understand the mystery of our own soul. Because true faith "is not only a certain knowledge, whereby I hold for truth all that God has revealed to us in His Word; but also a hearty trust, which the Holy Ghost works in me by the Gospel..." (Heidelberg Catechism Q. #21) it is extremely important to know the Gospel. Thus, the Holy Spirit moved Luke to write another account of the person and works of our Lord Jesus Christ, that we may "know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed."

Mitchell, on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast to finish up this overview of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke.

Matthew 26:1-16 - - May 17, 2026
The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast begins a new series on the Gospel of Luke. Dr. Mitchell will be giving 3 lessons in overview comparing and contrasting the four Gospels before beginning his exposition of the Gospel of Luke. Each writer presents the person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ from his divinely revealed perspective and focus as to who this Jesus of Nazareth is. So to begin Dr. Mitchell looks at the contrasts between Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Each gospel writer was inspired of God to write without error God's revelation to him concerning this Jesus. Matthew writes to Jewish believers. Mark writes to Roman gentiles. Luke writes to a gentile Greek believer named Theophilus. John writes to everyone that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God. Here is Dr. Mitchell on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast,Luke 1 Introduction.
Luke 21:5-33 - Rev. Max Benfer
Every kingdom on earth promises power, security, and satisfaction, but like the terrifying beasts of Daniel 7, they are ultimately driven by human desire and are never worthy of our worship. In a world filled with chaos, anxiety, and uncertainty, Daniel's vision reminds us that there is still an Ancient of Days seated on the throne who judges perfectly and rules justly. And when life feels overwhelming, our anxious moments become opportunities to remember that Jesus, the Son of Man, is God, and we are not.--Sermon by Pastor Nate Click--New to Heritage? Pastor Joplin tackles one of the most "hot button" topics...the end of times. Ref Matthew 24:1-44
This is message 44 in Gospel Record of John John 13:31-35 The cross was not a moment of defeat but the greatest display of the glory of God, revealing His power, justice, holiness, faithfulness, and love through the willing obedience of Christ. What appeared to the world as suffering and shame became the means of redemption and victory, as the Son fulfilled the Father's plan perfectly. Those who follow Him are then called to reflect that same sacrificial love toward one another, showing the world the realty of Christ through lives marked by humility, unity, and genuine care for His people. Unity with Christ has two directions.Identification - of Jesus with us, of ourselves with Him - is the key that unlocks all He obtained for us by His death and resurrection.Support the show
Jesus called himself the Son of Man more than any other title, referencing Daniel's vision of one who receives eternal dominion from God. This wasn't just claiming humanity - Jesus was declaring himself as the ultimate victor over all creation. His victory provides us with the only way back to God and shows us how to live through love and perseverance. Even in his darkest moment before Caiaphas, Jesus proclaimed his triumph, demonstrating that true victory often looks like defeat to the world. Derek Redmond's 1992 Olympic story illustrates this perfectly - when his father helped carry him across the finish line, love and perseverance created a victory more meaningful than any gold medal.
Send us Fan MailWhat does Jesus look like right now, not as a baby or a dying man on the cross, but as the reigning Son of Man? In this powerful episode the VC looks into the dramatic climax of Mark 13, where Jesus describes terrifying tribulation followed by His glorious return in clouds with great power and glory. Drawing from Daniel 7, you'll see Christ as the divine Judge who slays the monsters of wickedness and rescues His elect from the four winds. Jesus calls every believer to stay awake, observe the signs like a fig tree, and trust His eternal words while rejecting idle speculation about the exact day or hour. Don't miss this urgent reminder that hard times are coming, but the Son of Man is greater, and He is near at the very gates.
What we believe about Christ matters. He is the Son of Man who is God in flesh. We must behold His beauty, glory, and splendor. -Deity Revealed-Deity Rejected-Deity Believed
This is message 39 in Gospel Record of John John 12:27-36 The cross stands as the turning point where God's glory is revealed through surrender, where sin is judged, and where the power of darkness is broken. What appears to be defeat is in truth the triumph that draws all people to salvation, offering life to those who believe while warning that the opportunity to respond will not last forever. The call is urgent and clear to walk in the light while it is given, because rejecting it leads only to deeper darkness.
