Today we are learning that Jesus is the Son of God, and he is full of love! Parents, want to keep talking? Here are some ideas:Ask: What did the disciples say to the kids? (Go away!) What did Jesus say? (Come to me) Who loves you? Sing the songs “Jesus loves me” and “Jesus loves the Little Children” many times this week. If you don't know the songs, you can find them online. (ages 2-5)A parent's blessing was an important part of Jewish culture throughout the Bible. Spend time this week speaking a blessing out loud over each of your children every day. You may want to use a blessing from Scripture to pray over your children. As you bless your child, place your hand on his or her head or shoulder. (ages 6-12)One last thing! This week April asked, “What is your favorite thing about being a KID?”. Simply record a voice memo and send it in a text to 636-280-5433. You may even be featured in an upcoming episode. *By sending in a voice memo, you're providing consent for your minor's voice to be on the podcast*Normal Goes A Long Way Website: https://www.normalgoesalongway.com/Normal Goes A Long Way Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/normalgoesalongway/Normal Goes A Long Way Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Normal-Goes-A-Long-Way-110089491250735Normal Goes A Long Way is brought to you by Messiah St. Charles: https://messiahstcharles.org/Normal Goes A Long Way is hosted on Zencastr. What if worship looked like readiness? Jesus enters Jerusalem as the promised King—not to seize power, but to purify hearts. He confronts hollow religion and calls us to authentic devotion. As citizens of His kingdom, we don't just celebrate—we stay alert. Disciples live in faithful anticipation, walking in step with the King who is coming again.⚫CONNECT WITH US:

What if holiness looked more like mercy than rule-keeping? Jesus, the Son of Man, redefines what it means to be holy—not by upholding tradition, but by offering forgiveness, healing, and table fellowship to outcasts. His way disrupts our assumptions and calls us beyond religious performance. Following Jesus means choosing obedience shaped by grace, not by merit—surrendering control and embracing a life transformed by mercy.⚫CONNECT WITH US:

The “Son of Man” seems to be the preferred title that Christ uses Himself…about eighty times in scripture. Human and divine—and how thankful the world is for the Son of Man. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1561/29

We continue our journey through the Apostles' Creed by turning our attention to one of its most defining lines: “I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.” These words aren't just theological—they're personal. They point us to a real, historical person. Not a myth. Not just a good man. But Jesus: the Christ, the Anointed One, the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. Key Verses: Acts 2:22-24, 36-39

In this lecture, Don Carson focuses on Jesus's healing on the Sabbath in John 5:16–30, which led to Jewish persecution. Carson explores the theological implications of Jesus's sonship, his authority in judgment, and his role in fulfilling Old Testament prophecies. Carson also emphasizes the importance of understanding Jesus's identity and the need for believers to deepen their worship and evangelism through knowledge of God's revelation in Christ. He teaches the following:Paul and John's differing perspectives on sonshipHow Jesus's response to the Jews elevates the discussion to a theological levelWhy the Father's love for the Son is foundational to the gospelThe Son's authority in judgment is rooted in his identity as the Son of ManJesus is the fulfillment of Old Testament feasts, laws, and institutionsProper knowledge of God and his revelation is essential for effective evangelism and spiritual growth
Lee, Dana, and Steve answer at length a listener question about Jesus' Sonship. *********************************************************************Website: rbcbellefontaine.comIntro Music: “Thunder” by Telecasted

John has said believers are victorious and conquerors because of faith in Jesus. Now he goes into witnesses that state that Jesus is who He says He is. What does that mean for us and how do we apply it? That's what this podcast will discuss.

December 22, 2024God sent His only Son to redeem anyone and everyone who believes that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the grave. This claim takes faith to receive and believe. And to those who turn from their sin and trust in Jesus, God gives eternal life and the right to become a part of His kingdom, His family. Our greatest desire is to lift high Jesus, the Son of God, that He might draw whoever He has called to Himself. May we be faithful, and may He do it!1 John 5:6-13
December 1, 2024Advent 2024 has arrived! As we journey toward Christmas and reflect on the first coming of our Lord and Savior, we will explore specific titles and roles that only Christ can fulfill. He is the Son of Abraham, the Son of David, the Son of Man, and the Son of God. We begin by examining what Scripture reveals about Him as the fulfillment of the covenant God first made to Abraham.Galatians 3:15-29
