Pastor Dana's continues to look at Jesus' life in Luke 4:14-21 and John 8:12-20, where Jesus declares His identity through His words and actions. He is the Spirit-anointed liberator spoken of in Isaiah and the Light of the world. We can declare our trust in God as the source of true light in multiples ways, going beyond “good enough” to sharing the Good News in healing ways, and hearing the presence of the Holy Spirit remind us to live as liberators, healers, and restorers of peace.
As we continued our teaching series for the month, YESHUA, we explored the powerful topic: “Jesus: The Son of Man”
Going Deeper: Jesus the Son of God
The Gospel of JohnPastor Joseph PjechaFaith Alliance Church
Here in the Gospel of Mark, this lessonbegins in chapter 10 verses 45 thru 52After Jesus spoke of Himself as one who came to minister and to give His life a ransom for many, in fact for all, He now ministers once again near Jericho.A blind man by the name of Bartimaeus which means son of Timaeus asked Jesus to give his eye sight back to him. This blind man was initially rebuked by the crowd standing along the way.But Jesus heard him calling out to Him as Jesus, Son of David. This blind man recognized Jesus as the coming Messiah, the Messiah who was born in the city of David as Christ the Lord - the Savior, to save His people. Here is Dr. Mitchell in Mark 10:45-52 with Jesus our savior on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast.
Key Bible Verse: "And (Jesus) He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.” Matthew 26:39
This teaching brought clarity to one of the most important foundations of our faith; the identity of Jesus.
**We ran into some audio issues with our Easter service and have cleared things up the best we can. We pray it still blesses those who hear the triumphant news of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.Jesus' bodily resurrection from the dead on the third day validated all that Christ's death accomplished on Good Friday. His triumph over death confirmed that what he said was true and demonstrated his power to save all who trust in him. This Easter, we will consider the awesome wonder, the great joy, and the guaranteed hope of Christ's resurrection.
Jesus is the only man who ever walked this earth who can say he is the Son of God because he is God. And, as God, he deserves to be worshipped and obeyed.

Luke 2:41-52 | As we turn our eyes to Luke 2:41-52, we see the only account in the gospels of Jesus' life between his birth and the beginning of his adult ministry. The story of Jesus' time in the temple as a twelve-year-old is all about obedience: obedience modeled by his parents, obedience to his heavenly father, and obedience to his earthly parents.
In this episode, we slow down and sit with one of the most tender—and haunting—passages in the prophets: Hosea 11:1–4, and its surprising reappearance in Matthew 2:13–15.Hosea portrays God not first as judge or ruler, but as Father. Israel is called God's firstborn son, lovingly summoned out of Egypt so that he might be protected, taught, and patiently raised into maturity. The imagery is intimate and embodied: God teaching Israel to walk, lifting him up, healing him, and drawing him with “cords of human kindness.”Yet the tragedy of Hosea's oracle is not merely Israel's disobedience—it is Israel's refusal to be fathered. Instead of allowing God to form and mature them, Israel turns to the Baals, exchanging a living relationship for lifeless substitutes. Hosea gives us a portrait of divine grief: a Father lamenting a son who will not grow up.From there, we turn to Matthew's Gospel, where this same passage is unexpectedly quoted in reference to Jesus' flight into—and return from—Egypt. Matthew is not treating Hosea as a simple prediction waiting to be checked off. Instead, he understands Hosea 11 as a pattern—a father-son story that began with Israel but was never fully completed.Jesus, Matthew shows us, is the Son who allows God to Father him all the way through. Where Israel resisted formation, Jesus submits to it. Where Israel's sonship stalled, Jesus' sonship matures—through obedience, suffering, death, and ultimately resurrection.Along the way, we explore a richer biblical understanding of prophecy: not only as future prediction, but as a divinely initiated pattern that seeks fulfillment across time. In Jesus, the unfinished story of Hosea 11 finally moves toward its full and proper end.We close by reflecting on Jesus' entire life as a process of Father-Son maturity—how he entrusted himself to the Father at every stage, and how the resurrection stands as the moment when the Son is brought into complete, vindicated maturity. In Jesus, the Father finally gets the Son he has always been seeking—and through him, we are invited into that same maturing relationship.Key Passages: Hosea 11:1-4Matthew 2:13-15Explainer Video on how to use www.biblehub.com and www.blueletterbible.orgLeave us a question or comment at our website podcast page.

Part two of the "Who Is JESUS?" series. Pastor Richard continues the series as we focus attention on JESUS, who He is and Why He came. Through a story in Daniel, he shows us that there are 5 things discovered when you are in the fire, going through something in your life. All this reveals that NO ONE can SET PEOPLE FREE like JESUS!
Why do we prefer angelic beings, mystical experiences, and dramatic encounters over Christ? Could it be that the eye of our spiritual activity is focused in the wrong place? In this message from Hebrews 1:5–14, pastor Jeremy Writebol seeks to show us the superiority of Christ above all the "bright shiny objects" so that we will fix our eyes on him.
It's easy to become so familiar with Christmas that we lose sight of its wonder and holiness. This message invites us to slow down and behold Jesus the Son with fresh eyes—the God Most High who became most low to invite us into His family. Christmas isn't the story of us finding God, but of God coming to us.
In this message, we highlight Jesus as God's ultimate revelation, the heir of all things, creator and sustainer of the universe, radiance of divine glory, purifier of sins, and exalted ruler at the Father's right hand.
