This is the official podcast of Christian Life Church located in Mequon, WI. Contrary to the prevailing currents of culture, we affirm that there is such a thing as objective truth and that God intends for every person to discover that truth. Jesus said “ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). This value finds expression in the attention we give to our preaching, teaching, doctrine, and the real life application of His Word. We pray this podcast is a blessing to you and your walk with God.

In Matthew's Gospel Chapter 6:9 Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray. In a day of politically correctness and people self identifying. "Our Father" is the way the Bible teaches us to pray. As many people as there are, we each have our own personal experiences and ideas of even the word Father means, yet God has given us all one prayer. Some may have had a bad father, some a great father, while others never had a dad at all. God knows this. In fact He knew exactly the kind of childhood you would have and He still tells you to call God "Father". God is the standard of what a "Father" is. The very fact that you know what a "good Father is" is because of who God is.

The Word of God in its understanding is for the church, not the world. The Gospel itself is for the world and once the gospel is received and embraced, and one becomes a Christian then the Word of God will have meaning and understanding will flourish. The following is an Expository message from Pastor David W. Forrest from Philippians 2:1-11 on the "like-mindedness" of the Christian. The Christian is to have the mind of Christ which the world does not have, indeed it cannot have. (John 14:17) Unless the spirit has been regenerated, that is renewed in Christ; the heart cannot love as Christ loves, nor live as Christ lives, nor have His mind.
Pastor David W. Forrest continues in the book of Philippians focusing in on "To live is Christ" which is the death of self, (for it is no longer you who live but Christ who lives in you) and "to die is gain" which is the completion of the work that Christ began in you.
