An insight into my 22 y/o, curious, female mind in 2023, that is questioning different subjects and reflects on life with all its beautiful and challenging experiences. I aspire for this podcast to be a platform where everyone feels welcome and can relate to some of the things I talk about as we all just try to navigate life as best as we can. I post whenever I feel the need to share something! Socials: Instagram: @curiousmindinprogress / @louiza_maxime Youtube: @louiza_maxime cover credit: @cara.wanderer
Once upon a time, I was creating art without calling it that. I made up stories in my head and acted them out with my Barbies. I dreamt of faraway worlds and lived in them for a while. Now, as a (semi) adult, my brain has decided to sprinkle in self-doubt, perfectionism, and a hearty dose of criticism — and call it a personality. In the first part of this five-part series — structured around the questions I ask myself (and attempt to answer without spiraling) — I explore how we can become most free in the act of creation. Why channeling your inner child isn't quite enough. And how to feel less blocked, less critical, and maybe even a little okay with what you make. With wisdom from some of the creatives in my life, plus guidance from Rick Rubin (aka The Creative Act: A Way of Being), I share what's helped me feel less stuck, and like someone who actually make things.Whether you're a full-time artist, or just someone with feelings and a Pinterest board, this one's for you.If you liked what you heard, make sure to give this podcast five stars, a follow and let me know what I can improve in the comments. Trigger Warning: We discuss body image-related issues, weight, food, and more. If you feel uncomfortable with such topics, this episode might not be for you! In today's episode, my Dad and I speak about why it's so important to trust in yourself and love yourself and how to find your own vision career-wise (or support other people's visions). I realized that I interrupt my Dad A LOT and I'm very sorry in advance and hope you can learn from his knowledge and enjoy nonetheless. I definitely learned that I have to work on not interrupting and getting my thoughts out as soon as possible, but rather respect what the other person is saying. I've linked everything we spoke about here: "Atomic Habits" by James Clear - https://jamesclear.com/atomic-habits "The Golden Circle" by Simon Sinek - https://simonsinek.com/commit/the-golden-circle Thank you so much for being on this Episode and sharing your experiences Dad! Hi and welcome to my first Episode of "Curious Mind in Progress"! Today I talk about what I want to do with this podcast and the timespan after School and before starting Uni or your first real job or whatever you are planning on doing - simply the time where we attempt to find ourselves and what we want to do; and how sometimes we can feel really stuck during that self-exploration. I hope you like this rather short, traileresque Episode and come back for more! Make sure you follow me and also check out my Instagram linked in the information box.
