Visit The Mingle Project, and watch this in Episode #27 of The Mingle Project on YouTube. The Mingle Project is Michael's mission to restore civility and compromise to our public discourse. For three decades, he's had a front-row seat to the increase in polarization that has gripped the nation. He sees the current climate as part of a much larger disconnect in society fueled by technology and self-sorting, having a serious impact on the mental health of our youth. The Mingle Project is both his diagnosis and prescription for the problem, presented through anecdotes, social science… and a few laughs! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. The star of the evening is Genny Lim, San Francisco's current poet laureate—an acclaimed poet, playwright and performer whose work reflects the rhythms, struggles and resilience of the city we call home. Black Galaxies coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has named a 32-man squad to begin camping in Accra ahead of upcoming assignments. The players will report to the Erata Hotel on April 20 for training and a friendly match as part of preparations.
Blake Mingle references Psalms 39 as he reminds us to be ready for God's "Red Flag Day".
Why does God allow pain and suffering? Why did he allow his Son to suffer on the cross for us? We discuss pain, suffering and redemption with Dr. Stephen Doran.
Is organized religion making a comeback? Michael explores a surprising trend: growing interest in faith—especially among Gen Z men. Joined by SiriusXM Catholic Channel 129 host Katie McGrady, the conversation dives into why young people are returning to church after decades of decline. Is it a search for community in an increasingly isolated, screen-driven world? A response to anxiety, uncertainty, and global instability? Or something deeper? From rising conversion numbers to the role of technology, this episode examines the cultural forces reshaping faith in America. Original air date 2 April 2026. This week on The Roseanne Barr Podcast, Roseanne sits down with her longtime best friend Shannon Hughey for some brutally honest "girl talk"—and a topic no one saw coming: Roseanne is thinking about getting ready to date again. She's not dating. She's not on apps. She's not meeting anyone. But mentally? Emotionally? Spiritually? She's… circling the idea. Roseanne breaks down what it actually takes to even consider dating at this point—like building tolerance for nonsense, lowering expectations just enough to survive, and figuring out if she even likes people anymore. From past relationships to hard-earned lessons, she gets real about what she will absolutely never deal with again (and what she might tolerate for the right guy… maybe). It's honest, a little savage, and very funny—because sometimes the hardest part of dating isn't going on the date… it's convincing yourself it's worth leaving the house. If you've noticed one too many leaves starting to change colour and you're doing everything you can to hold onto those summer vibes, this conversation might be exactly what you need. Photo by Pisit Heng on Unsplash Before Jesus does anything about the grave, he stands beside the grieving and lets his tears mingle with theirs. We don't worship a God who observes our pain from a safe, hygienic distance. We don't lay our sorrow at the feet of a celestial efficiency expert who says, “You know, technically, this will all work out." No. We bring our pain to the One who weeps. And that means that when our hearts break, the tears aren't falling alone. Subscribe to us on iTunes! Sermon text: web | doc

SO MUCH TO DISCUSS!! Mixologist fave, Kendrick Tucker, Host of I Ken Not Podcast, is back in the mix to talk about all the pop culture goings ons of the week from Grammy awards to Housewives returns from Jail to fake murders and real betrayals in killer outfits.First, the Grammys came and went…shirtless in silk boxers. Kendrick and Mani talk the hits and many misses of the grammy performances. Spoiler: they differ about the shirtless Yukon situation. Also the sit down with Karen Huger and Andy Cohen also came and went after the (former) Grand Dame has exited prison and entered life time recovery…Last, but of course, The Traitors banquet also came and went with a murder to be done in plain sight by a traitor, and a bromance in full bloom that nobody asked for. Mani and Kendrick figure out what Rob is doing, where the Traitors are headed, and give some VERY hot takes about the faithfuls left and who would make good traitors in the future. When MPR News host Kerri Miller travels to small towns around Minnesota for her Rural Voice series, she hears over and over again about the crisis of loneliness and social isolation. People say that even in communities where they know everyone, it's easy to feel adrift. It's no surprise to neuroscientist Ben Rein, who studies the inner workings of the human brain. He writes in his new book that our brains have been shaped for social contact, both inside and out. When we don't get enough social interaction, our bodies are stressed. And in our post-COVID, screen-obsessed world, a good chunk of the population is suffering from too much alone time.Rein joins Miller on this week's Big Books and Bold Ideas to talk about why friendships are as important to health as how often you exercise and how much you sleep, and why online relationships aren't enough for a brain that's evolved to expect face-to-face.
In the wake of Bob Weir's passing, Michael Smerconish reflects on discovering the Grateful Dead later in life—and what that journey revealed about music, ritual, and our deep human need to belong. From missed concerts and chance encounters to live shows as modern-day ceremonies, this episode explores how shared experiences create community, meaning, and common purpose in an increasingly fragmented world. In this episode, Michael and Matt get personal about what we love about being single, how we knew we were ready to start dating again, and what we want to experience differently this time around. We talk about flirting on apps, dating in 2026, and all the messy, exciting parts of putting yourself back out there when you're ready to mingle. Some of the topics we cover in this episode are: • Getting back into the dating world • When your nervous system tries to hijack your dating life • Red flags and green flags • What we're actually looking for in a man now (and how that has changed) It's cheeky, honest, and surprisingly insightful. If you're single (or single-ish), you'll feel right at home. Text Me Here!!!Another Monday...Another Conference Talk...and I'm not mad about it at all!And also Day 1 of 12 Days of Munch & Mingle!Today we go through Elder Johnson's conference address and I say it every week, this might be my new favorite talk! Elder Johnson used to be a forensic accountant and so it would make sense why the word 'reconcile' would stick out to him.But his talk goes so much deeper about our relationship with the Savior than I expected and yet I walked away with so much more emotion and motivation to guard my connection with the Savior and Heavenly Father and do all I can to strengthen it.He also uses an analogy with a cherry shaker, have y'all seen one of those things before? I've got a link for you below! Also, I linked another talk of Elder Johnson's, a BYU speech from 2022, it is a MUST READ!
